Panerai watches always look good in videos and when they're held in the hand, and this one is no exception, BUT when you see them in person they are huge. This watch is 44mm wide x 16mm deep and on the average person it looks like you're wearing a hockey puck on your wrist. I was shocked when I first tried one on. I see Panerai as a ‘watch company’ rather than ‘watch maker’ - using your terms. I own a Panerai - still. Was tempted to buy a second Panerai but ended up buying more Rolex, Tudor and Grand Seiko watches every single time I considered buying another Panerai over the years.
I like Panerai watches though I prefer the ones with the crown guard/lock mechanism many of them have. This one is really nice, but too dressy for my lifestyle. I have large enough wrists to wear one and not have it look out of proportion and it's definitely a brand I'd like to have in my collection at some point. They are sort of like a secret handshake for those into watches as they will know immediately what you're wearing. At the same time, those not into watches will know immediately it's not a Rolex which could be an advantage in some cases.
one of the best movement on this channel !!!
Need to add a panerai to my collection. Superb video as usual
What does the remark about looking at Tag Heuer mean?
Well, check out this: www.europastar.com/magazine/highlights/1004071591-tag-heuer-addresses-the-1887-movement-controversy.html
X Klijsen using a Seiko movement and claiming its their own. No doubt, Seiko will be quietly pleased.
Alessandro Guarda great article. Cheers.
Very informative. This Panerai is a handsome watch, it really doesn’t matter to me if the company is not designated a watchmaker. “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”
Ironically, that expression was a humorous slam to Shakespeare's theater competitor called The Rose with poor restroom sanitation.
Very informative as usual so thank you. 5 push adverts is somewhat frustrating 😑
Can anyone explain how is the am:pm window in the dial of this Panerai useful?
Because it’s a 12 hour GMT marker if you watched the video. How would we determine am/pm of no 24 hour marker?
@@mattj9435 DUH, right???
Hello, is the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Automatic worth it?
Wonderful video as usual I Own a Panerai 653 I absolutely love it, great history great watch not over rated at all just very unique all around.
I am a HUGE fan of 42mm 1940 Radiomir Panerai PAM00512... Speaking of italian watches please make a Parmigiani video! Please! Please!
I do like a nice panerai - the steel case blue dial equation of time is just magnificent
does anyone know if the 8day complication automatically winds when being used or does it only wind up by using the crown/pusher?
Great vid, would love to see a Montblanc equivalent with something like the Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Automatic
I’d like to hear your opinion on BALL watches. I have had my eye on one for a while now.
could you give a "review" / walk through on the Ingersoll bison no18?? I acquired one at a pawn shop and I'm starting to realize it's a bit on the expensive side..
Great videos as always. Please do a video on cartier calibre de diver. Thank you.
"Panerai Radiomir 1940 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT Oro Rosso" XD

This one is certainly a stunner. The movement is incredible and beautiful and that dial, looks like creamy chocolate, just perfect.
Love to see you review the new Panda Speedy CK2998
I have no use for a GMT, but this is very tempting.
They're not just large they are ridiculously large.
This Panerai looks fantastic!
Great video, great watch. thank you.
Beautiful watch, too bad they are way too big for my taste.
Then you have to see a real Panerai.. Arnie bought one...(:-)))
I thought so, too. And I have quite slim wrists. But: The size IS the style. Put one on your arm and you won't want to put it away again. Believe me. :-)
