I've played a lot of Scout and Sniper, and I have to say this is true. You can jump, but don't double jump because the sniper will probably expect it. Also, you can strafe mid-air as scout, it' just not as effective unless falling a moderate distance

I have a problem with this video: 1.) Scout IS useful in defense. Yeah, you read that right. You can flank, and kill off some of the weaker classes wandering around. You can also kill the medic as said in the video. 2.) You can charge to the front, it doesn't mean you will survive, but you can flee away to a health pack closer to the enemy spawn, you could flank, destroy teleporters, and probably kill some DPS and support classes. Well stacking scout can be pretty fun (this isnt a problem with the video) I had a 6v6 match on metal works and my team stacked as scout and we kinda kicked their ass so oof.
As a scout main i think with confidence its more effective to heal an engie then a scout in most situations atleast. Especially if your playing payload on red team. If your engie is having issues setting up buffing them can let them tank just enough to get it done quicker

Soldier can change to Shotgun to shot the scout, Demoman can only try hit with the pipes, not have a secundary option to try kill the scout, stick traps can be avoid. That's the point of he say.
Great video! One thing I'd mention they didn't cover in the Medic section is that you actually buff the Medic's movement speed when he pockets you if your base speed is higher than his, so Scout makes the Medic get back to the fight in the least amount of time besides a friendly teleporter
also scout is a good frontline class in sixes. abandoning your team to go on a stupid flank probably would lose you the midfight in many 3cp or 5cp matches. you do over 100 dmg with a scattergun, so dont be afraid to get up in your opponents face
The medic really has 3 jobs, stay alive, heal, and overheal, stay alive to help out your team, heal anyone that needs it ,including scouts, the scout can break the enemies teleporters, take out enemy medics, distract, and sneak up and pick off enemies. After you have healed your team, then start overhealing, and scout is still a good option as I said above, then go for the frontline classes. Scout can ruin a team if played annoyingly enough, he's like a non invisible fast spy, and the enemy has to worry about you, or you'll kill them all
Don't forget that medics move faster when healing scouts, so you can use this to help your team, too. Say that a heavy/medic combo on your team was going to push, then the medic was killed. Upon respawning, the medic is across the map with no hope of reaching heavy in time. If there's no teleporter, help your team out by bringing the medic back to the frontlines as quick as possible. Just make sure your being healed the whole way, as the medic's speed will return to normal the second he stops healing you.
You'll be suprised with how many times my patient dies just cuz some dumb E spamming scunt just walks in between me and my patient. I have a hobby of clicking my mouse when healing instead of just holding it down (so I can spread the heals on my front lines) and that makes my medigun switch to healing the scout. Pls if you're a scout don't be a jerk and spam E cuz you're distracting me.
most medic mains recommend you heal the scout whenever possible. (as a spy main) scout is an excellent distraction, its the scout's job, to keep the enemy on their toes so the other classes can poke at their heel.

Scout is an offense class, medic should buff him. Here's why :
-185hp scout is deadly and allow more aggressive play
- allow scout to keep fighting for longer without retreating
- scout won't steal medpacks
- scout will gravitate toward the medic and protect him on occasions
Waisse buffing scout to 185 hp is a mistake since he would be more than annoying to fight against and he doesn't become a scout anymore,
Scout is called a scout for a reason
How is "would be more than annoying to fight against" a viable argument ? Do you think medic shouldn't pocket sniper too ? If medic has a chance to buff scout he should do it, there's no reason to gimp yourself for no reason. Buffing a scout is always beneficial for your team, what the video failed to emphasize on is scout is not the priority in active fight.

Yeah but heavies soldiers and demos need medics a lot more. Scouts can just run to a health pack unlike these slow classes. Also heavy can heal the medic with his sandvich/banana/etc.

Let me get this straight. Medics refuse to heal Scout if he needs it, and so he has to rely on medkits? But what if the Medic needs them? Scout shiuld only go to resupply lockers? It's a pretty bad argument to make as it depends on the situation.

Thanks for the tips! As a scout main, I pay great attention to not being THAT type of scout main. Or as we call them, "sc**ts". I call for medic in 15 second intervals, pay attention to the environment, and take care of my team mates.

Scouts are not gods , they have 125 hp which means your royally fucked if they have a good demo or sniper. Only support your team and EARN the meds’ heal, do not be selfish and go in front of fire, flank
This video was incredibly helpful. I'm starting to get pretty good at playing Scout, but I still have a lot to learn, especially from videos like this. I'll keep this in mind next time I go Scout.
I have a problem with this video:
1.) Scout IS useful in defense. Yeah, you read that right. You can flank, and kill off some of the weaker classes wandering around. You can also kill the medic as said in the video.
2.) You can charge to the front, it doesn't mean you will survive, but you can flee away to a health pack closer to the enemy spawn, you could flank, destroy teleporters, and probably kill some DPS and support classes.
Well stacking scout can be pretty fun (this isnt a problem with the video) I had a 6v6 match on metal works and my team stacked as scout and we kinda kicked their ass so oof.

As a scout main i think with confidence its more effective to heal an engie then a scout in most situations atleast. Especially if your playing payload on red team. If your engie is having issues setting up buffing them can let them tank just enough to get it done quicker

8:47 I could argue that because when I first played tf2, I grabbed up a scout. It took me a couple of deaths to learn, but I quickly took on a long-lasting killing streak that enraged the entire other team :D

Soldier can change to Shotgun to shot the scout, Demoman can only try hit with the pipes, not have a secundary option to try kill the scout, stick traps can be avoid. That's the point of he say.
The only time I use a teleporter as a scout is when no one is coming out
Great video! One thing I'd mention they didn't cover in the Medic section is that you actually buff the Medic's movement speed when he pockets you if your base speed is higher than his, so Scout makes the Medic get back to the fight in the least amount of time besides a friendly teleporter

also scout is a good frontline class in sixes. abandoning your team to go on a stupid flank probably would lose you the midfight in many 3cp or 5cp matches. you do over 100 dmg with a scattergun, so dont be afraid to get up in your opponents face

The medic really has 3 jobs, stay alive, heal, and overheal, stay alive to help out your team, heal anyone that needs it ,including scouts, the scout can break the enemies teleporters, take out enemy medics, distract, and sneak up and pick off enemies. After you have healed your team, then start overhealing, and scout is still a good option as I said above, then go for the frontline classes. Scout can ruin a team if played annoyingly enough, he's like a non invisible fast spy, and the enemy has to worry about you, or you'll kill them all

Don't forget that medics move faster when healing scouts, so you can use this to help your team, too. Say that a heavy/medic combo on your team was going to push, then the medic was killed. Upon respawning, the medic is across the map with no hope of reaching heavy in time. If there's no teleporter, help your team out by bringing the medic back to the frontlines as quick as possible. Just make sure your being healed the whole way, as the medic's speed will return to normal the second he stops healing you.
You'll be suprised with how many times my patient dies just cuz some dumb E spamming scunt just walks in between me and my patient. I have a hobby of clicking my mouse when healing instead of just holding it down (so I can spread the heals on my front lines) and that makes my medigun switch to healing the scout. Pls if you're a scout don't be a jerk and spam E cuz you're distracting me.
most medic mains recommend you heal the scout whenever possible. (as a spy main) scout is an excellent distraction, its the scout's job, to keep the enemy on their toes so the other classes can poke at their heel.
