How to play Demo: Don't use the sticky bomb launcher the way it was made to use, instead abuse it to it's worst and get surprised it ends up being nerfed
@Joseph Bleifus spies have trouble backstabbing because of your speed and charge, and since swords have more range, they have a disadvantage at getting to your back to trickstab you
One trick I find that works surprisingly well is knowing how your bouncing primary grenades work. Several times I've been chased by a pyro I've aimed my grenade launcher at the top of a door I'm escaping through. The bomb bounces back, over my head, and into a pyro's face. Works every time!
If you're playing hybridknight, your pipes shouldn't be spammed around unless you're around a corner. You need your pipes to set up for kill confirms, so make sure you have at least 3 in a clip before you set yourself up for a duel imo. Most classes will only need one direct, a shield bash, and a minicrit melee to kill, but you will probably miss a few shots or you'll need to pipe jump or charge away.

Hehe... I remember dealing with trolldiers on Hightower... it was fun using the loose cannon and Scottish Resistance! It was amazing to mess with one guy who’d never give up. I placed stickies on the barrels, doorframe, and even the platform for snipers... it was awesome to see the kills count up!
5:45 Funny story, actually. I played Demoman in my usual 2Fort community server and I used the Scottish Resistance to lay REALLY obvious sticky traps at my team's side of the bridge. The enemy kept walking into them to get gibbed EVERY TIME. I got most kills when the round ended.

I know it's not optimal... But I love using the Scottish resistance to trap an escape route, and then harassing with the normal launcher. Once I get a few people chasing me I retreat, and slowly pick them off as they chase me.
After directly hitting buildings with pipes, the damage will penetrate structures, which is impossible with the stickybombs. So you can push the engi off his sentry or kill him outright. So you won't have worry about him repairing it. Either way, pipes will out DPS his repairing if you hit at least... 3 of them I believe. Laying multiple stickies is good, but it gives the enemy chances to destroy or airblast them away. I usually start with grenades, then switch to stickies if I run out of ammo.
last point on dustbowl, use stickys at the tunnel below the point and forget about them. The other team will stop, thinking the demo is waiting on the other end watching the trap, or start shooting at them, which helps your team to spot the sneaky bleky
bonus: at the beggining of the game and you want to plan a trap with the guickybomb launcher, remember to charge your gun so it does more damage cause the quickybomb launcher does full damage with fully charged stickies, and its mostly good for you to only make a trap at the start of the game, and go offense after that

What Valve intended was for the sticky bomb launcher to be a defensive weapon but failed to see its power as an offensive weapon as well during initial development. Its why it can hold as many stickies as it can in order to place traps. When players showed the offensive potential the sticky bomb launcher offers, especially in combination with his grenade launcher they saw the mistake they made.
7:38 What Uncle Dane taught me as an Engie is that I can use my wrangler to blast stickies away from my sentry gun. Just point the gun straight down and launch rockets to send any stickies flying far away. If the Demo targets me instead I just focus on evasion until my sentry gun auto pilot reactivates and kill the Demo while he has his back turned from the sentry gun.
Obvious demoman isn't good idea for f2p because you need a taunt that it can stay still like dance or high and other stuff but for f2p they only have regular taunts that you must click G everytime and maybe the enemies can just pass through your traps while you are taunting regulary that you can't cancel it unless you must wait for a bit Edit: this is for casual match but for community servers have third person mode that you can use it by typing !tp
Delfy !! , there is a Glitch with demoman Sticky Bombs!! 1- Place 3-2 bombs at the Same place 2- you need a Soldier to shoot the Bombs / Works Both teams 3- you will. have the most Powerfull Trap ever in TF2 xD i just send e-mail to tf2 so they can fix it # Another thing : the bombs can reflact the rockets + When you aim Down and you shoot, the roket speed will change, try it out and make a Video ;)
Use launch n load. Get something that you can charge. Don't sticky jump even if you like coz you got charge. Use a meelee that doesnt minus your nax health
One time I was playing demo and I was on hightower over the cliff, no parachute with a enemy soldier on the other team also over the cliff He tried to rocket jump over the cliff and he jumped RIGHT under me and I crit'd him with my pan and still managed to make it to the blu side of Hightower from red side
Another tip is figure out your playstyle and loadout, the situation doesnt matter if you cant handle the situations, in example I'm more proficient using a shield and a primary than I am with stickies
The biggest mistake is not being drunk, you need to be as drunk as possible to properly play Demoman

My way of playing Demoman.
1. Have stock grenade
2. Have the Charge'n'targe because post Jungle Inferno
3. Hit everyone with a frying pan
Taunt at every sticky kill you get, because that's sign of a good demoman.
Use launch n load. Get something that you can charge. Don't sticky jump even if you like coz you got charge. Use a meelee that doesnt minus your nax health
And don't forget to have your tactical beers with you.
Smart Engineers who have the wrangler will use its rockets to blast away any stickies placed around his sentry gun.

when you try to camp for stickies don't hide, instead, engage in combat so that enemies won't expect your stickies.
