The transition from smooth fluttering ambient delay to "NEXTUPNUMBER5OCTAVEFUZZFILTHHEREWEGO" was ABRUPT and then right back to ambient synth pad hahahah I love it \m/
Yeah he sounds like the guy hanging on the front of the truck in fury road mad max - that's that filth or as Bea calls it "filf" Which should be his t shirt - "Number 5: Filf"
Came for the riffage and stayed for the clean stuff. I absolutely love your ambient clean tones and slightly dirty clean tones. And I'm always impressed how powerful and versatile the GigRig stuff is. Dan really is a mad genius when it comes to pedalboards.
Clicked on the video for the pedalboard but was riveted by the lead improvisation in the looper section. Really, the kind of soulful playing that speaks to me, and I'm hooked.
Bro true story, I have caught quite a few Andertons videos with you in them, and then now really checking out your channel; just about every time you play something, you execute some sweet sweet melodic licks and movements that might go over a few peoples heads but I for sure catch'em. Your playing is truly inspirational and I feel you should hear that. I am beginning to appreciate driven/distorted guitar sounds- electric guitar in general really, got a few now and please believe I will be studying your ways. keep up the good stuff.
Man, I'm really digging that Thunderclaw. It definitely hits the spot with the Strat. And jus so ya know, I don't mind watching you noodle for hours..some sweet riffin'. Thanks for sharing.
The level of thought and expertise gone into making this board is remarkable. I love how passionate you are about tone. Your Strat with the new pickups is immense; one of the best very Strats I've ever heard! Much respect to you Rabea. Keep up the good work mate.
Wow looks like a lot of fun & inspiration with that custom pedalboard upgrade! Rabea, with your immense talent & kind personality, awesome new artist model Ernie Ball/Music Man guitar- looks like things are really going your way and I wish you all the success possible with all of your projects - beyond your biggest expectations!
G3S is coming and an updated G3 mgr. Simply the best switcher on the planet. Thanks for the demo, great board, thanks Dan and team for such an awesome product
Rabea your loop Jam at 21:55 was so damn good and inspiring. Love the key, the phrasing, the note choices, all of it my man. Side note - I follow your pedal choices because you legit make the best decisions IMO for versatility with regards to everything between clean and heavy. Surprised you stepped away from the Mesa Flux drive, you produced some amazing music with that pedal, but trust it is for good reason you moved on from it. Would love to hear your thoughts and reasoning behind pedals you've switched from and to throughout the years - that would be an awesome video! Cheers from VA and keep up the amazing work brother 🤘🏻
AWSOME VID THANKS FOR THE BAD ASS BOARD VEIW AND VID!!! your playing gets better by the day dude. Your were a bad ass ten years ago and now your a force of nature. Keep on doing it my brother !!!!!
If I'm not mistaken, the parallel function was added for G3 and was not present in G2. And it's not automatically in parallel, but it can be set up that way. They stack more nicely just because of the way the loops interact.
Thunderclaw is so good. Makes a great eq with the drive off and while it's not the smoothest drive sound at the onset of clipping, it creates a unique layer that can be defined in a clean amp or mesh nicely with a dirty amp.
Any video where Bea has a guitar in his hands is always gonna be an extravaganza of tasty ear candy with a helping of filth! So much ❤ for all you do, fro bro. Bless you and thanks for all the tasty licks!
I have the Boss ES-8 at mo, but I would love to have a GigRig 3. My dream for all things GigRig began when I started fantasising over the GigRig 2 several years back...going to have to save up for that though and stop buying fx pedals for quite some time to come if I want to fulfill this dream of mine. I have a dream! Great content as always Rabea.
Really great tone on that driven solo preset. Love it man! The g3 gives so many possbilities, amazing. Only thing I would add is the eventide h90. But I guess you tried everything already ^^
Funnily enough, I have been doing a modal jam almost exactly like this lol I also recently added a Strymon timeline to the board to go with my Nightsky. What a wide and vast array of sounds are attainable from just ONE of the two units. The Nightsky though.... whoa. Love the new board Bea, Looks a lot like the one I have at home that I've slowly built up over the years.
What really grinds my gear, is that the Bluesky Timeline & Mobius are slightly offset , man they should be perfectly aligned^^ Great tone & playing :DDD
As a mere mortal, I must now remortgage my house to make this sick pedalboard. Actually my house might not cover it 😢…. Screw it I’m switching to nylon guitar. Pretty sure it’s the sound under the fingers that is mostly impressive. Well done and good luck with the new project/band
I modified my pog with a switch and trs connection at the side, and replaced the pot in an old Dunlop wha pedal with same pot value as the ‘dry’ in the pog. I could then change the dry/wet blend on the fly was interesting.
I went with GigRig G3 Atom. i have the usual Strymon suspects, some Andy Wood pedals, and I switch three channels on Mesa Boogie JP2C. The G3 is awesome and doesn't color my tone. 👍
Bea, is there any delay when switching between patches on a bank especially with the midi signals? Also, assume you could add expression pedals into the midi inputs of the strymon pedals to change settings on the fly, or is that done via the G3? Truly superb sound scapes.
Somebody please help me understand, when he shows his Origin Stacked edition compressor underneath, why is the Dry knob turned all the way up? at the 6:00 mark, it's in the top right. Wouldn't that just let 100% of the dry signal come through and none of the wet/compressed signal? I own this pedal and the manuals online don't say anything specific about wet levels or percentages. Kinda lame manual considering it's a $400+ pedal.
Because sometimes I like to blast an amp with different pedal setups. While I love my QC and use it for recording and playing in frogleap live, and for gigs where it makes sense. I still love using amps, feeling the air move, blending pedals and getting different reactions from the amp and pedal combos. Getting feedback from a loud amp and cab. All that stuff. I use it all tbh
Today I opened up the Rabea plugin and realized something that I never had before. All of the factory presets are Elden Ring world messages, and I’m fucking dying 😂
It's your dynamics which blows me away every time! Killer When you was gigging your JVM how did you deal with the hum without a noise gate? Recently got one and love the amp just even with a quarter gain on OD1 Orange the hum isn't the best
Hi man!!! Great pedalboard. I would like make a question for you. I have a hss strat. I was thinking change the pickups because i am not an strat guy (it was my first serius guitar but nowadays i dont like it). I have two combinations in mind... Two of your triptuych and one silo in bridge or two silos in hh configurarion. What do you think could be better? Thanks rabea!
My lord, just tried the Archetype Rabea as standalone plugin, I AM IN LOVE. How does this pedal board work with the plugin? Match made in heaven? PS Is there an awesome sale coming up soon for the plugin @Rabea? :D
I love that plugin. Use it all the time. It's made to not really need all that in a pedalboard, since the stacked compressor, fuzz, OD, dual delay and reverb are all included as digital effects. But it def wouldn't hurt to enhance your signal a bit with a pedalboard beforehand!
Hey Bea! Do you mainly use your Kraken as a clean pedal platform now? That thing puts out such huge tones, I'm honestly surprised you don't look to use the 2nd channel anymore. Would you be able to talk through that decision?
There’s one in front of the amp input, and one in the fxloop - the purpose is because using two amps will cause hum and oscillating gain etc. not sure the technical terms, but basically it’s helpful hahaha
I'm not sure if I'm just a sucker for dotted 8th note stuff, or if your dotted 8th note stuff is just more awesome than others, but I love it. Something so spacey about it the vibe. Ever since that Walrus ARP-87 demo.
The transition from smooth fluttering ambient delay to "NEXTUPNUMBER5OCTAVEFUZZFILTHHEREWEGO" was ABRUPT and then right back to ambient synth pad hahahah I love it \m/

Man your sound from the Strymons are on another level, a video showing your different presets and how you are using them together would be so helpful!
What an amazing board, dude! Dan is such a genius - wonderful playing from you on this vid too! Really enjoyed it.
Came for the riffage and stayed for the clean stuff. I absolutely love your ambient clean tones and slightly dirty clean tones. And I'm always impressed how powerful and versatile the GigRig stuff is. Dan really is a mad genius when it comes to pedalboards.
that noise at 16:45 sounded like satan's harmonica!!
great board. phenomenal tones overall - stoked to see what you do with it!
OMG the section at 21:59 was so chill it nearly put me to sleep in a good way!
Dan’s an absolute wizard! Awesome tones, Bea! Love your playing. Been watching you for about 7 years now!
Clicked on the video for the pedalboard but was riveted by the lead improvisation in the looper section. Really, the kind of soulful playing that speaks to me, and I'm hooked.

Great tones and some VERY tasty playing.
Not sure I am more envious of, your touch or your hair. Both magnificent. Thanks for sharing.
I think the power of his touch and guitar tone comes directly from his hair.
Wow looks like a lot of fun & inspiration with that custom pedalboard upgrade! Better than the Mastermind PBC/10???

Amazing board, tones and playing as always Bea ! Cant wait to hear the new music :D
That loop was worthy of the Danish Loopmeister. Awesome board and great demo!

The Opeth riff was unexpected. Awesome to see the Coopersonic still on there.
Where abouts is that Opeth riff?
@@Edwa72 16:18
@@Bigthoogs thx.
Late reply but yes, about 16:18. It's from Opeth - Closure and can be heard about 1:05 in.
Bea channelling his Carlos Santana on the loop demo. Love it 🙂
Thunderclaw is so good. Makes a great eq with the drive off and while it's not the smoothest drive sound at the onset of clipping, it creates a unique layer that can be defined in a clean amp or mesh nicely with a dirty amp.
Yeah man, I love that thing! Can’t get it off the board hahaha
Wow. This pedalboard is like a master key. Thank you for sharing. Thanks for being a musician.
Sounds amazing as always Rabea
Any video where Bea has a guitar in his hands is always gonna be an extravaganza of tasty ear candy with a helping of filth! So much ❤ for all you do, fro bro. Bless you and thanks for all the tasty licks!
Great demo and board Rabea! Where is the Lehle in your signal chain?

that's a whole lot of fuzz options you got there! ... great board, thx for sharing it. Love the G3, want one myself
Amazing pedalboard!!!Love The Distortion...really Impressive
Killer tones and killer playing Bea!🔥🔥🔥
Good to see some analogue goodness back on the channel! Hoping to hear this live when Totemist goes live 😉
...considering half of the pedals are digital 😀
Really great tone on that driven solo preset. Love it man! The g3 gives so many possbilities, amazing. Only thing I would add is the eventide h90. But I guess you tried everything already ^^
Good to see some of the main staples have kept their spot.
Very cool, Bea! Thanks for sharing with us.
Amazing tones! Yes definitely update when you get your head around the G3. I have the G2 and thinking about the G3 💥💥
Caught this monster of a board on That Pedal Show. Amazing.
Funnily enough, I have been doing a modal jam almost exactly like this lol I also recently added a Strymon timeline to the board to go with my Nightsky. Good gravy I think that's the best looking pedalboard I've ever seen
no shit. would make jimmy page turn in his grave, if he were dead.
Awesome intro men!! Dan is a genius!
lush sounds and fantastic playing. thank you mr rab
That rhythmic delay patch though 🔥👌😘
Freaking massive and amazing board! Here's one for you. Can you do a vid of a mini board that can get most of your sounds at a reasonable price range?
Wow an amazing board!!!!! Very very cool!
What really grinds my gear, is that the Bluesky Timeline & Mobius are slightly offset , man they should be perfectly aligned^^
Great tone & playing :DDD
Kinda surprising, it's pretty easy.
Grinds my gears more that they didn’t design the volante to use the same enclosure size.
@@Jonathan_Doe_ true , the only reason I didnt buy the volante , doesnt fit with the bluesky & Mobius ^^
1:24 uh yeah going outside to get some fresh air and to catch the sun… I like
Really digging that riff at 13:05 Rabea! Is it your own or does it come from somewhere else? Also that preset 5 is humongous!

Rabea's pedal shootout videos for Anderton's show just how particular his ear for tone is. This is a pedalboard I wouldn't mind inspecting.
I would love to see you play live . If you ever come to Houston TX . . .
Sounds amazing! It's always a blast to hear you play :) Do you still use the QC or does this rig replace it completely?
Awesome sounds/magnificent toys! Jus subscribed to your channel.
What a player!
Appreciate the opeth riff in there 😄

Nice playing. I predict a slow shift to even jazzier Bea in 10 years.
11:10-12:35 reminds me a lot of "M4, Part 2" & "Das Malefitz" by Faunts (from the end credits of Mass Effect 1 & 3, respectively).
Hi Rabea! Why didn't you just use your Quad Cortex which does everything with much less fuss?
Because sometimes I like to blast an amp with different pedal setups.
While I love my QC and use it for recording and playing in frogleap live, and for gigs where it makes sense. I still love using amps, feeling the air move, blending pedals and getting different reactions from the amp and pedal combos. Getting feedback from a loud amp and cab. All that stuff. The added effect from the Mobius on your loop solo is so wonderful, is that LP or wah filter mode?
Today I opened up the Rabea plugin and realized something that I never had before. All of the factory presets are Elden Ring world messages, and I’m fucking dying 😂
Nice. i felt similarly tickled when I bought the chase bliss mood, and realized that the preset names in the manual are all Tim & Eric references.
Curious if you have upgraded to the G3S? I'm saving for one at the minute. Looks so sick!
It's your dynamics which blows me away every time! Killer

Is that 'wah-ish' envelope sound @ 23:40 a Mobius preset or a preset you created?
Bea What’s the exact pedals used and the setting for the Pad sound for preset #6? Been asking for years now and it sounds absolutely incredible.
Nice! Is there a way you could share your Volante settings?
13:21 "I Love that sound its absolute Filth and really Fun" - Rabea. The only thing you need to hear in a review lol
Great stuff! Do you still have the Bare Knuckles Mothers Milk pickups on that strat?

The OCD part of me is going nuts over the Strymon row not being lined up and tight to each pedal lol
they were literally MADE to look perfect next to each other and he's fucking it all up lol.
I guess the Boss OC-5 didn't replace his 'beloved POG' after all.
audible heaven
It’s like an ad for Strymon pedals 😂
Hahaa yeah I get you, but I’ve always used these pedals. Had them for years.
Because they're great....
Hey man, could you explain the usage of the EB Tech Hum Eliminator a bit more? especially on a 2 amp setup.
There’s one in front of the amp input, and one in the fxloop - the purpose is because using two amps will cause hum and oscillating gain etc. not sure the technical terms, but basically it’s helpful hahaha
@@RabeaMassaad That's great info. Thanks! I have made a pedalboard inspired in yours and I love it!
What, no more buffalo FX germanium fuzz? Sad to see that one go, it's been on your board for ages and ages.
I’d love to see a wiring diagram of this board
❤
Is this the best loop switcher out there?
Can you use the G3 on the floor in front of you and pedalboard by the amps?
souds so sweet

that thunder claw though
25:25 Yep.
12:00 delay line jam was very mission impossible 2 and I don't mean in a bad way
What about the 29 Pedals Euna and Oamp?
Gonna add those I’m just keeping space for chopping and changing pedals. Gonna keep messing with it
For the past 10 years I have dreamed of having such a switcher, but have not yet won a Jackpot.🥴
Does the kraken v4 take pedals that good? That's a great question
How did you connect the hum eliminator? Where in the signal chain?
The Kraken has to be one of the best-sounding amps of all time
What are you using to loop ?
Crusing at sunset in a ragtop Mustang with that intro playin real loud. Fk ya
did you go gig rig for the tone of it and have you tried the RJM units??
Geez… what’s that octave fuzz sound?
I love the strat tone.. I guess it is a Jap strat because of the tuning keys?
No it’s a 54 relic reissue. There’s a Vinod hi buying it.
