Anyways, I made a bet with the male attendant, if Sweden wins, me and my seat mates would get free scotch the rest of the way. Once we got into British ATC, they relayed the result to the crew. I will never forget the attendant shouting, ”you know what!, Sweden won 2-1!” One of the greatest moments in my life.
Brolin reminds of of Peter Forsberg; a Swede who, at his prime, was one of the best players in the world, but sadly had a bit of a tainted career due to injuries. I remember some Parma games where Brolin literally won the game single-handedly.

The sweds also played 1-1 against brazil in the group, the only team that managed to play even against them in the whole WC(except also italy in the final), even tough the brazilians were overpowered in the semis and deserved the win. And they were not "poor" in the 90´s either, almost the same team, but what they had was bad match-day form that turned the games away from them. And in championships it is always hard, one kick, one header or one bad decision can decide if you´re out or trough...

They may not have had good tournaments all the time but they have had teams that have shone at Major tournaments like in 66 when won world cup. 86 WORLD CUP before Maradona cheated England out of World cup, Italia 90 when we reached semi-final and out played West Germany who won on pens. , Euro 96 beating a very good Dutch team 4-1 and getting to semi-final again. France 98 played well until David Beckham got sent off for nothing in a game they were dictating, 2002 World cup also was good beating Argemtina and just falling short against Brazil at quarter final stage, 2004 also. Was good 2018 semi-final world cup, Nations league semi-final,2019, Euro 2020 final losmg on pens , and in Qatar 22 England were one of best 3 teams in tournament in Qatar world cup out playing France in there Quarter final match.

Nope, Dahlin was a real Swede. Yeah his skin colour wasnt like most Swedes back then, but he was culturally 100% a swede. And he wasnt there because of a quota, he was great. Just look at his performance in the 94 WC
