I remember when England beat Spain , I popped my head out the sunroof as we waited at the lights on London Road in Oxford and went 'waheeey!' to the White Horse pub crowd who had spilled out into the sunshine to celebrate. Even my mum (who's not normally a football fan) was high on the atmosphere and joined in, peeping the horn. The whole pub crowd erupted with joy. Epic times.

Ironically England lost on penalties to Germany twice in both those tournaments we were supposed to win. Botj were semi finals aswell. Penalty shootouts has been our biggest nightmare. Same with Euro 2004 and Germany 2006
Germany was by far the best Team 1990. 1996 Germany was good but old and there were better Teams, italy dominated the min the group but couldnt score. England was 1996 way better but in the end, Germany had so much experience and Self belife. 2002 your Team was even worse, but somehow we made it to the final and with Ballack we mabye had won.

Scotland was bursting with world class players for 30 years up to that point. This team of the 90s was lame in comparsion - i watched them all. Current team - clearly utter shite.

I’m an England fan and I thought Scotland was the better team in the first half. Two great saves from Seaman denying Dury and McAllister gave us the win
scotland team of the 60s and of the 70s and early to mid 80s was a far stronger team. Dalgliesh, Jordan, Souness, Hansen, Miller - each player at least 40 million in the current transfer market. Scotland was bursting with world class players for 30 years up to that point. This team of the 90s was lame in comparsion - i watched them all. Current team - clearly utter shite.
