After about a week migraines went away and I have not had one since. Just and FYI for anyone suffering from migraines.
Aspartame causes intestinal cancer too in mice studies from 70's. It's linked with many other bad things like throat cancer, migraines and obessity. This has been known before it was implemented as sweetener, but industry paid off fda and it has been allowed. One of the biggest small poisons people consume daily.

I understand everyone says it’s very bad for you and I believe that to an extent, but I lost 80 pounds while drinking Pepsi Zero and still am drinking it. I understand no pop is healthy but I’ve still kept the weight off and am still getting my caffeine fix!
I started losing weight in the fall of 2016. Of course I changed several things about my life (eat lots of protein, enough fiber, fruit & vegetables, drink plenty of water, restricting alcohol to social events only, and of course work out a lot 4-5 times a week), but honestly I feel diet coke helped me a lot with getting rid of any soft drinks in my diet altogether. I now can hardly drink the stuff cause I find it distasteful (soft drinks with sugar). Maybe I need to get rid of diet coke out of my normal diet too at some point, but artificial sweeteners definitely didn't make me more overweight. I went from 97 kgs in october 2016 to 83 kgs now (june 2018). Ideal weight 77-80 kgs
To any seeing this post years later, she is looking at it from a microbiology perspective, particularly with concern to the sugar/artificial sweetener. From an active weight loss perspective, the lack of calories in a diet soda *combined with an otherwise healthy, low-calorie diet* can have a very positive effect on weight loss. It becomes problematic when people simply make the change from coke to diet with no other lifestyle changes, in which case it's almost purely a negative effect on their body as a whole. EDIT: And that being said, of course you're still better off drinking water :P
Just getting rid of carbonation all together can help you lose weight. It’s one of the first things nutritionalists have you quit before you have stomach surgery since typically you have to lose 50-75lbs before the surgery. You also have to make the decision to never drink carbonation again because the off-gas will stretch out the size of your stomach that they will have just made much smaller surgically. But it’ll start to shrink your stomach to quit even without the surgery.
Studies apparently are showing our gut biome literally controls every thing we do. Who we find attractive, what we like and dislike, what we think smells good and so on and so forth. We're basically just vehicles for bacteria

All I know is I work for a doctor that studies this stuff intensely and he tells me “I would rather you not drink soda but if you’re want to drink a Diet Coke, just drink a regular coke instead”
50PullUps at some points she is. “Diet Coke messes up the microbiome and makes you obese.” That is straight up misinformation and based on very little research
Studies have shown that aspartame is absorbed primarily in stomach and small intestine, with essentially none found in large intestine. So the question has been, how could it possibly affect gut bacteria in large intestine? The whole “weight gain” issue with diet soda has never been proven to be causally linked. Folks that eat clean and drink diet soda still anecdotally lose weight and fat. It’s probably the phenomenon of ordering a double cheeseburger and fries WITH the Diet Coke causing the weight gain. Probiotics are most likely bullshit btw. They typically have colony counts in the billions in the setting of a colon that has TRILLIONS of bacteria. We’re talking introduction of a fraction of a fraction of colony numbers to the colon.

Macros matter, but not for most people. If you dont eat more calories than you need, you will progressively and safely lose weight. If you arent losing weight, you're consuming too many calories. PERIOD.
Catfish Bradley okay I’ll try to explain. Basically more than half of the calories are burnt in maintaining the body temperature. This is the reason if you don’t move an inch a day you have to eat something, so now caloric deficit will not work for weight loss in the long term. You decrease your calories and your body decreases BMR. And by sheer will power of calories you will lose weight but the moment you attain the ideal weight and try to go back to your calories the BMR will increase resulting in weight loss. What we end up with is a sort of a all nighter before exam which is just good but not good enough.
Catfish Bradley secondly weight is mostly genetics , after that diet and then exercise in a increasingly descending order. I mean l know what l am talking about, l just wanted to clear your misconception. You are partially right but what you are preaching will end up with this. You will keep on losing and gaining weight if l am right. And if this happens then my point is already proven. Btw kinesiology sounds interesting

Same here.
Aspartame causes intestinal cancer too in mice studies from 70's. It's linked with many other bad things like throat cancer, migraines and obessity. This has been known before it was implemented as sweetener, but industry paid off fda and it has been allowed. One of the biggest small poisons people consume daily.

No true Dutchman you sound fat
No true Dutchman take out all sugar and you’ll be there by now.
Yeah she is disregarding so many variables
