  • In this episode, Nelson has a bad experience with a tree stand that Andrew setup for him. Climbing up in the dark set the morning hunt into a spin. Tree stand safety is no joke.
This video series follows three archery hunters who get a first hand experience dealing with a devastating EHD outbreak in the Hudson Valley of New York. Andrew Elder - the local resident, his brother Nelson Elder and family friend Johnny Diamonds give the first week of bow season a try to get a complete grasp on how bad the herd loss really is. If an EHD outbreak wasn't enough, bad luck followed them around for every hunt. These are the cursed hunts of 2020.

Wow those sections were pretty far apart haha! I've had that vertigo sensation before it can be unsettling. Man this is not how I thought your season was going go, nice twist from all the "success" videos though.

Oh really?! I was wondering if other people have experienced it... This isn't how I'd thought it'd go either! Little did I know.

Nothing like hunting from the ground.I hunted a lot from the ground last year.Had a 16 foot encounter with a bobcat.Passed 4 or 5 small buck. But I felt safe.

Ha yeah less of a fear of falling from the ground. We mixed it up a bit but typically bow hunt from trees... Thanks for watching!
