I was a mechanic on a dairy farm, seeing these cows walk sometimes was painful to watch till the trimmers came, when they were done and hit the pen you actually seen them bounce and jump around in joy from the releif of pain.
It's amazing that all that's needed is a trim. Most family farms have someone within the family who's a ferrier or can clean and trim the hoofs until the ferrier arrives. No different than a man or woman needing a painful ingrown nail, bunion, corn, removed to stop the incessant pain that's caused while walking.
Ah yes that’s how I discovered hoof trimming videos then the next thing you know you’ve watched ten videos on 3 different channels and seen it done to cows ,horse’s a mini donkey and it’s 6 in the morning.
I'm not a farmer, a hoof trimmer or anything even close to the sort. But I have become obsessed with this channel! The music, intention, educational aspect, humour and the amazing land that is Scotland keeps me coming back EVERY time. Thank you GP for sharing! Much love from South Africa!
And this is why your videos are so great...the editing is superb and it adds the elements of happiness, fun and heartfelt warmth to your videos..the songs add that beautiful touch to it and not to mention your added humor and the compassion you have for your job. It all just makes it that much more enjoyable to watch your videos..so thank you! Sending lots of love your way from the USA!! 🇺🇸🤗❤🐄💩🚜🏞
I don't even remember how I came across Graeme's channel but it's definitely interesting. I had been watching video's on shoe shining so the algorithm likely suggested it. Shining and care for $500 Allen Edmonds oxfords and hoof care. Silly me for not seeing the connection? hahaha
Same I don’t remember how I found the first video but something caused me to sub and keep watching. I am deeply impressed by how much he cares for the animals. Keep up the great work.
9 times out of 10 I come here for the trimming. The other one is for the awesome views from the drone of the Scottish countryside. So making Scotland one of my want to visit places. Great videos as always.
We do have beautiful scenery, a very rich history and if I say so myself the Scottish people are some of the friendliest in the world. As a Scot I love my country and love when I hear people wan to visit from other countries
As a horse person, I understand the importance of good healthy hooves and the value of an excellent farrier. Your customers are very fortunate to have you to depend on. Love watching you enjoy your work and getting to see your beautiful countryside.
What am I doing, I'm a 60 year old homemaker and I watch this channel everytime a video pops up. I just didn't know farmers put so much time and care into their animals, thanks for the education.
veronica beck I’m just about 10 years your senior, I watch him too. I also watch TDF Honest Farming, a dairy farmer in Oregon, and Sandi Brock, a sheep farmer in Ontario. I’ve got a horse and that’s it.
It makes me feel so happy that when you finish each cow and they will instantly feel relief. They give their lives to produce calves and milk and should be treated with the utmost respect! 🥰🐮
Graeme I just want to say I love what you do with your videos. How you shoot them and edit them. The music you put in. I love it all. I love how you explain what you are doing even if I'm not a farmer or trim any animals. Your videos are very pleasing and keep me entertained and engaged. Thanks for the quality content!
Thank you for all that you do for the cows and others, it makes me so happy that the cows will be able to have happier longer lives because of you!! I’m a junior in dairy cow 4-h, ( last year I was a novice) and I have searched the web far and wide on education from the head of these animals to the hoof and I happened to stumble across on your amazing videos! We are building a barn and will soon be able to own a cow of my own and I’m glad that I have gained some knowledge about how important cow’s feet are! Thank you for what you do!! 🐄❤️
I was driving in Norfolk and i was overtaken by a 4x4 towing an odd looking bit of equipment, my good lady asked me "What is that".... I knew knew the answer, it was a crush!..... 🐱👤
i don't even understand how i found my way here but i have become obsessed with this channel! thank you algorithm for knowing me better than i know myself
I spent 28 years from when I was 12 onwards, loved every second, we had milkers on the farms I worked on, your right treat them with kindness and love as we did and you will have a happy cow. More is done now for there feet than was done I think in the 70s. Love watching every minute of you youchoob channel.
This is what relaxes me at night!! I’m always so happy when I see there’s a new video. I love the care you give each cow. They are lucky to have you Graeme!! 🐮🐮
I giggled outloud and scared my brother dozing off in his recliner. Then he got mad at me and went to his room. Then I continued to binge for another hour. Love the channel!
Love it. Thank you for my HOOF GP FIX You got me. When you were putting things In the wash bucket and you started to put the battery in. I yelled out loud no no no it’s a battery. Then you stopped , smiled and shook your finger. You ROCK. HELLO to Craig Stay safe🙏🏽❤️
Craig is an absolute gem in the videos quality content as usual love the videos watch them every time before I go to sleep or when I'm bored they make my day so much better
Just watched a few episodes for the first time, and love the program. You have put great balance into these presentations; the visual, audio (narrative as well as musical) and pace. I like to learn and your work is a gem for me. I turn 80 next Sunday and I can still remember visiting a great uncles cattle ranch in northeast California from age two to eight. Possibly the experience of those visits helps me but an added dimension into what I see here, smells. Thanks
I'm a 60 y/ostill working 911 dispatcher and emt in Central Wisconsin, USA. Grew up milking and farming for 35 Holstein. I appreciate you skills, humor and insight. As well as your accent. Very much enjoy watching your videos!!
How can you not love this man?! Texas girl here and his accent is amazing! I too am a red head.. fairly sure he is married but I am still fascinated by watching these RUclips vids! How much is his Mobil Unit worth? That’s quite a set up he has. I can’t stop watching these fascinating and upbeat videos! Jennifer from Dallas, Texas 👍🤠
You know, every time I think about the 30 seconds it takes to wash my hands nowadays... I think about how long it takes the two of you to hose down the crush between every job. :D (Also-- that breed's hooves are GINORMOUS compared to Holsteins'!)
It looks like sculpting runs in the family! You're creating "wearable art" for your girl's 🐄 lol while James is working on the kind you build! You know Graeme with everything going on in our world TODAY it's so nice knowing there are such KIND HEARTED PEOPLE LIKE YOU IN IT! thank you for all you do! Have a wonderful day!
I love the music in your videos. I live in Charlotte NC in the states and the music you use is so great and easy to listen to. Also I love the fact that you acknowledged the small nick but that it will not harm the cow in anyway. Some people would have not mentioned it like it never happened. Thank you for being real about everything on your channel. Like Bob Ross said we don’t make mistakes just happy accidents. Have a great rest of the week and stay safe out there.
Hi Graeme, I still watch your channel getting bigger every week. It's amazing how your sympatic kind and sensual videos attracts so many people without any relation to your job. Keep the channel thriving, buddy
My brother is a ferrier and he was working a horse with glitter and some sort of polyurethane all over it's hooves. It was so hard, it destroyed his rasp.
I have always wanted a cow of my own. They have the sweetest faces and lovely eyelashes. Thank you for helping them, given all the things they do for us. Indian people may be onto something for worshipping cows.😊
Not a farmer (quite far from it actually 😅) but I love seeing things get better and I have to say I’m impressed with the slow-mo montage, your video qualities seem to get better and better every time! 💖👍 Much love from the Southern East corner of Australia! 💖🇦🇺💖
A tip for backing up from a truck driver. When you hack up without a trailer if you turn the top of the wheel to the left you back up left. Same goes for right. When you have a trailer pay attention to the bottom of the wheel. If the bottom of the wheel goes left the trailer will go left. Same goes for if it goes right the trailer goes right. This eases up the thought process and allows you to think about the finer details of your surroundings and backing up. You may also want to take one of your GoPros and Bluetooth to it and put it to the back of the trailer so you can have a make shift backup camera.
It’s amazing to me, you have a cow with hooves that look terrible and in a few minutes they are good as new. I enjoy watching you trim healthy and needy hooves. You live in a nice neighborhood too.
What beautiful cows! If I had that many rocks in the bottom of my foot, I’d be bawling like a baby! Glad you caught it when you did! Oh...the truck looks awesome 💕😊
Man you showed up in my recommended yesterday afternoon out of nowhere and now I've gone on a 8 hour binge of your videos lol. Something about what you do is calming and therapeutic to watch. Keep up the great work and you've earned my sub.
I'm watching videos on Roman history and the origins of Roman Christianity and there you are repeatedly as I'm scolling videos related to my search. Yes I've been watching your videos and it makes me smile to see you everywhere as I dive into various and random RUclips rabbit holes.
Sooo have you ever thought about putting a hitch on the front of your truck? Might help you all fine tune getting it in tight spots as the turning wheels got a little closer to the action. Curt Manufacturing makes some that aren’t too obnoxious. Just a thought...
I love that there are such kind people in this world that actually care about animals enough to do this kind of job. Looks very hard on your body, not to mention the smells. I am absolutely into this Channel, who knew✌🏼🐄
Don't change a thing about your style of videos, I love all of them. You do such a great job interacting with us. Love the scenery, maybe it's because I'm 50% Scottish....lol also I very much enjoy your flavor of music, stick with it. 😉👍
No Graeme.. Thank *YOU* for taking us along to see you together with Craig and laugh, also sometimes a few tears but most of all fun and flat out humorous times, great videography (like today too, that was generally fantastic) and pretty lasses in distress you both help on their feet or.. alright, hoofs! 😉 And don't forget... those GORG aerial shots you show that I Love to Pieces!! 👌😎 You deserve it to get some help in life to get your dream because you work darn hard for it! (And yes, love the combination you have right now, looking grand! 😎😊
Always love watching these videos, Graeme is a brilliant educator and I love seeing the cows better after all the hard work. Keep up the amazing job guys! By the way, the song in the slow mo "Toxic Love by Lvly" has introduced me to a new artist that is really quite nice. Thank you again!
Watching cows getting their hoofs shaved off and cleaned up is oddly so satisfying to watch! And I'm so glad I landed on this channel first, I just can't watch the others! You do a great job Graeme!! 💞
thanks for all you do for the suffering creatures who have sooo much pain but cant speak and who have no idea that life is meant to be better. They go on from day to day, nights, bad weather, trying to survive. And the work you do gives each of them relief and im sure they feel better day and night,,,
No fair I’m a trucker I like laughing. At other people when they’re having trouble backing up. LOL. Some days I couldn’t back in a straight line if my life depended on it.
Female here i grew up w my dad as a trucker and learned to back up our rigs plus change tires, oil ect on them before our personal vehicles. Traveled all over the States working for a cutting trainer and I have had to help so many ppl hook up and back up lol. A lot of friends still holler at me to come haul cattle or campers ect for them because they dnt know how.
Opposites apply when backing up, my dad always used to say. I’m pretty good at it. I drive a big Ford Expedition, people are amazed I drive it so well! I’m like outta my way! But there are times I find myself saying “turn left to go right”, “turn right to go left”🤣
I'm actually trying to become a vet so I've been watching your videos for enjoyment but also for practice and today I was finally able to tell what needed to be done to fix the cows foot im so excited
Why do I enjoy these videos so much? And it's just yours, LOL I don't even work cows or anything. I work with kids. I just really enjoy your videos. And I have no idea why. LOL
Graeme laughing as he's about to throw the battery in the bucket... He laughs, but I know my braindead self would definitely end up doing that by accident.
You might have started out a little late, and had a few hiccups through the morning but watching your video gives me a chance to run away, (i heard the birdies!) take a breather, and get to Scotland in my mind: lovely way to end the day over here! Thanks! And did i hear correctly: Craig's about to be your brother-in-law??? Wonderful! Have you included a picture of your sister in here that i may have missed along the way???? Just wonderful! Very good news to hear! My best to them both! (Oh, almost forgot: your driving skills are b e a u t i f u l!)
Many years ago I worked on a dairy farm for 3 years. Not once did I ever see anyone trim the cow’s hoof.. ummmmmm !! They had several lame cows... great vid Again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If you watch enough of his videos you will see that he is a very good drone pilot. Not sure if he has Craig use it too or not while driving or if they switch up driving the little truck. Graeme is also very good with a camera besides video. Some of the shots I have seen on his videos could be prints for sale! Guy knows his lighting
when I was having my breakfeast this morning , I could not keep from laughing see I had a bagel cut in half and it looked like a cows foot all trimmed up.
Lol while every time I look at videos (or games) that the steering wheel in on the left, I have such a mental bout of confusion! “That doesn’t seem right... lol oh yeah, probably from the Americas or something) 😂🤦♀️😂
It’s great you call it a Crush in Scotland and here in Wyoming it’s called a Squeeze Chute. I do love watching you work your magic. Thanks for letting all of us look over your shoulder!!
I might have missed you saying, but what causes that big hole that collected all the gravel? I was also wondering do you have to sharpen your knives daily? Thanks for giving great care to the sweet cows! 🤍🐄🖤
Laura E. From my understanding, from what he said in the video, is that hoof was overgrown. & I think that it actually needed to be brought back down to the pith. He also very basically shows in another video, that they have quite a few spare knives with them, that they use as they become blunt & then he sharpens them at home so they are ready for the next day.
To answer your other question, I believe when there's a small Crack in the hoof (that happen all the time tbh), a stone can get embedded in it, which then scrapes and makes that hole bigger so more stones fit into it. Rinse and repeat until you get a whole gravel pit xD
I was a mechanic on a dairy farm, seeing these cows walk sometimes was painful to watch till the trimmers came, when they were done and hit the pen you actually seen them bounce and jump around in joy from the releif of pain.
me after i deal with an ingrown toe nail.
Nice to know !
Regardless of species, the ladies like new shoes. (I suppose the guys do as well.)
This makes me happy
RUclips: you wanna see some beautiful cows get their hooves cleaned by a very kind Scottish man at 2 am?
Me: Y E S
Ah yes that’s how I discovered hoof trimming videos then the next thing you know you’ve watched ten videos on 3 different channels and seen it done to cows ,horse’s a mini donkey and it’s 6 in the morning.
@Julie Webb yup goats too even pigs depending on where they are kept they can go 6 months with out a trim at most
Ok but 2pm for me
Ngl this is the EXACT same way I found him except it was 5 am lol iNsOmNiA yay
I do this everyday I discovered it about 2 months ago

I still cant believe a city girl like me is watching cow hoof trimming obsessively...still loving it!
I don't even remember how I came across Graeme's channel but it's definitely interesting. I had been watching video's on shoe shining so the algorithm likely suggested it. Shining and care for $500 Allen Edmonds oxfords and hoof care. Silly me for not seeing the connection? hahaha
I totally understand it, I am too
Same I don’t remember how I found the first video but something caused me to sub and keep watching. I am deeply impressed by how much he cares for the animals. Keep up the great work.
Probably because he’s appealing to females and his going to do some sexy trimming, like he said.
The messier the better. Can't watch enough videos like this. I'm amazed how easy you can fix a jacked up hoof.
Calming ride to start your day Graeme 🐄👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💜have a blessed day with the cows 🐮

I don’t know what would be more satisfying... actually getting those stones out yourself or being the animal to have the stone-relief 😂
More satisfying watching den being the cow that’s has to get milked for the rest of its life or turn into a pile of meat lol
dcm on mobile mmmm deliciousness
Z-0- X LMAOO 😂
Gives a whole new meaning to being called a stoner rofl
Definitely being the cow
Graeme I just want to say I love what you do with your videos. How you shoot them and edit them. The music you put in. I love it all. A year later and i am watching this video, at 1 am 😂
Favorite saying of the week, "how rude is that cow being?" 🤣
Loved it!
I giggled outloud and scared my brother dozing off in his recliner. Then he got mad at me and went to his room. Then I continued to binge for another hour. Love the channel!
Love it. Thank you for my HOOF GP FIX
You got me. When you were putting things In the wash bucket and you started to put the battery in. I yelled out loud no no no it’s a battery. Then you stopped , smiled and shook your finger.
You ROCK. HELLO to Craig
Stay safe🙏🏽❤️
Craig is an absolute gem in the videos quality content as usual love the videos watch them every time before I go to sleep or when I'm bored they make my day so much better
I live in an apartment, I am retired and have never owned a farm or a cow, why am I addicted to this channel !
The music you pick are spot on
Just watched a few episodes for the first time, and love the program.
I like the mix of music and sometimes just the quite while you work. You or who ever edits your videos does a wonderful job. Cheers from 🇨🇦
I think your videos are up there in the "most satisfying to watch" class. Take in a dirty nasty overgrown hoof and they leave all painted and pretty!
Him: carving the hoof to shape
Me: forbidden potato chip
Dogs eat it
I was about to comment that it is the forbidden almond shavings.
I love kittens too❤️😁
I laughed so hard...startled the cats. too funny
🤣 I made a forbidden food joke to my mom once, about one of these kinds of videos and it was hilarious to watch her visibly question my sanity
Love watching you… so calming and makes me smile how hard you work to make the cows lives better!
Can we all take a moment to acknowledge that this channel has almost 300K subscribers!?!?!?Pretty ah-mazing 👍🏻
2 years later there 1.68 million!!!!!
How can you not love this man?! Texas girl here and his accent is amazing! I too am a red head.. fairly sure he is married but I am still fascinated by watching these RUclips vids! Holsteins are like the skinny supermodels of the cow world

we all love the slow mo montage ,and the DARK LORD helmet saves your pretty face again ,YAY !
Linda Taylor & his eyes! The cows need his eyes 💛
I love the music in your videos. I live in Charlotte NC in the states and the music you use is so great and easy to listen to. Also I love the fact that you acknowledged the small nick but that it will not harm the cow in anyway. Some people would have not mentioned it like it never happened. I love watching you're videos I find them really calming for some reason and help keep my anxiety from going sky high haha so thank you!
Hi Graeme,
I still watch your channel getting bigger every week.
It's amazing how your sympatic kind and sensual videos attracts so many people without any relation to your job.
Keep the channel thriving, buddy
I never realized that cows had to have a pedicure. He does a good job of it, but forgetting nail polish.
I expect that one of these days we are gonna see a holstein with the prettiest pink hooves. Graeme seems to have that sort of humor.
@@GTLees ...This is a thing that needs to happen. I _need_ to see this happen~
I'd pay good money to see him paint a cows nails.
My brother is a ferrier and he was working a horse with glitter and some sort of polyurethane all over it's hooves. It was so hard, it destroyed his rasp.
@@skippymagrue probably that resin crap. Like they put on glitter floors in discos.
My Father always said feet were everything, and I can see the same holds true for animals!!! GOD BLESS these beautiful creatures!!!!
Expecting moms love their pedicures 💕. Another great job!
Much love from the Southern East corner of Australia! 💖🇦🇺💖
This is weirdly satisfying to watch. Is it strange that i find it relaxing to watch these videos. Keep up the good work.
I find this interesting for some reason. But I really do love animals and love to see them being taken care of. Love your videos! Watching from USA!
A tip for backing up from a truck driver.

When you have a trailer pay attention to the bottom of the wheel. If the bottom of the wheel goes left the trailer will go left. Same goes for if it goes right the trailer goes right. It’s amazing to me, you have a cow with hooves that look terrible and in a few minutes they are good as new. I enjoy watching you trim healthy and needy hooves. You live in a nice neighborhood too.

I love how you talk and take care of these cows!! Love Kristin from Oklahoma 💗💗💗

Thanks for the shots of your house, the town where you live, and the countryside. It’s a marvelous area.

Thanks for subscribing 😁
Same besides the suburban mom part!
Suburban grandmother here, also vegetarian and allergic to dairy! :) But I love cows and good music
I feel you. I'm not a mom but live in the suburbs, am vegan, and am lactose intolerant
As i read this i got a vegetarian ad :)

thanks for all you do for the suffering creatures who have sooo much pain but cant speak and who have no idea that life is meant to be better. They go on from day to day, nights, bad weather, trying to survive. And the work you do gives each of them relief and im sure they feel better day and night,,,

It makes me happy the these guys are actually trying to help the cows where I'm from if a cow is hurt or sick it's the slaughter house they go
The cow or bull mooing in the back ground is so relaxing to listen to
Your montages are just so sweet to the soul. Relaxing and satisfying. Thanks honey! Keep up the great work guys!
No fair I’m a trucker I like laughing. At other people when they’re having trouble backing up. LOL. Some days I couldn’t back in a straight line if my life depended on it.
Trucker here to. We all have days where we even mess up the easy backs 😂
Stephen Brown Retired trucker here. I watch guys with travel trailers, boats and so forth. Can’t back, but after a good laugh, I bail them out.
My brother tried to teach me to back up with a trailer several times. I never did get it correct...lol
Graeme you are the Rockstar of hoof trimmers! Love watching you take care of these ladies' footsies.
My friends make fun of me for loving your channel but they just don’t get it! Haha. Keep up the hard work brother, stay safe
I don't believe there's anything wrong with watching a skilled professional do their work, especially when they are passionate about it.
You need other friends. My friends told me Graemes success restored their faith in humanity.
I agree this is an awesome channel so i must say get new friends. To laugh at this is wrong,
B0nd3n that’s such a stupid thing. Friends are allowed to laugh at each other that’s friendship is not just being stuck up snowflakes
I have NO idea why watching you is so satisfying. But it is. Hope you and your are doing great!
I live at the beach, I’m not a farmer but watching these videos has become my evening ritual wined down✌️
I'm actually trying to become a vet so I've been watching your videos for enjoyment but also for practice and today I was finally able to tell what needed to be done to fix the cows foot im so excited
I love your passion for your job, GP.
Never thought I would enjoy bovine hoof videos but here I am . GREAT VIDEO!!
I'm here checking in from Jamaica. Love your country side ❤️
Love seeing Scotland in the videos
This work looks peculiarly...satisfying! Trimming and scraping a hoof until it is smooth and clean? My OCD is loving this!
Gotta give the girls those pregnancy pedicures.
How else are yhey going to treat themselves
Many years ago I worked on a dairy farm for 3 years. Not once did I ever see anyone trim the cow’s hoof.. ummmmmm !! They had several lame cows... great vid Again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
am I the only one curious how he got the overhead shots of him driving to the job? I loved those views and shots, such a pretty landscape!!
He has a drone and uses it often. ;)
Maybe a drone.
The drone has a tracking function, so he can set it to follow a distance behind whilst driving.
The Beebster dang that is cool technology!
You tube recommended one of your videos yesterday and I am hooked. Can’t scroll past without watching!🙂
when I was having my breakfeast this morning , I could not keep from laughing see I had a bagel cut in half and it looked like a cows foot all trimmed up.
😂😂😂🐮
Aaaaahhh 🤗🤗🤗 there’s that beautiful Appleton Steel. I do watch these older videos that do not have that green machine.
Every time i see a car coming at you on the right side I think "OMG! It's on the wrong side of the road! Watch out!"
Lol while every time I look at videos (or games) that the steering wheel in on the left, I have such a mental bout of confusion! “That doesn’t seem right... lol oh yeah, probably from the Americas or something) 😂🤦♀️😂
Me too. Freaks me out.
I know. I thought he was playing chicken.
London is wierd but not as wierd as Canada...
America is the only country in the world, it seems.
Glad to see you take care of your equipment....
I started watching your vids because youtube decided it was close enough to German rap..I am confused yet thankful
@@twilightroach4274 thank you for the information, I appreciate it.🙂
To answer your other question, I believe when there's a small Crack in the hoof (that happen all the time tbh), a stone can get embedded in it, which then scrapes and makes that hole bigger so more stones fit into it. Rinse and repeat until you get a whole gravel pit xD
@@codex_jinora thanks for explaining, that makes sense. I appreciate it!🙂
Excellent job. I am still amazed you made it all the way to the farm driving on the wrong side of the road. Lucky everyone does that over there
