The French add nothing when serving. Someone took me to classic bistro Chez Georges & I ordered Salade de Lentilles. Boy was I shocked. A huge pyramid of lentils arrived. Not a scrap of lettuce or any other veg. Just straight-up lentilles. Aieeee as the French say.

i don’t really like the taste of olive oil, do you have a suggestion for a substitution?
If you take olive oil off of the table (pardon the pun), I would say that you should go with walnut oil.

Yes, the vegetables are removed.
There is no ginger in this recipe.
