  • The Taurus TX 22 Compact is the latest iteration of Taurus pistols chambered in 22lr. It is insanely fun to shoot and had zero malfunctions with no lube or cleaning past 500 rounds. Featured here is Gunmag's Jeremy Stone and the TX 22 Compact vs Melons, steel targets, Dr. Pepper, and rubber plate racks. The melon was loaded with a Firebird "flare" target that explodes on impact, and after about 10 rounds of trying to hit that thing, he finally did it.
What's the difference between the Taurus TX 22 and the Taurus TX 22 Compact?
The Taurus TX 22 has a barrel length of 4.1 inches and an overall length of 7.06 inches. It has a magazine capacity of 16 rounds and weighs 17.3 ounces. On the other hand, the Taurus TX 22 Compact has a shorter barrel length of 3.6 inches and an overall length of 6.7 inches. It has a magazine capacity of 13 rounds and weighs 16.5 ounces. The compact version is designed for concealed carry and personal defense. It has a shorter grip and is more compact, making it easier to conceal.

    The intro
And not making fun of Taurus which so many people are apt to do...
Because while they're affordable products, they're still good products

Oh also I'd love for you guys to do more videos on magazine types/brands... Like a review of casket magazines or hex mags or things like that... Things that a particular website that sells magazines for very good prices has... Not to name names, but we all know what store that's also a gun magazine warehouse I'm talking about, the one with *EVERY* type of magazine from every company anyone could want, in capacities for both free and less free states
More videos like the KCI USA review you guys did... Because of that video I know the next AK magazine I'm gonna get when I get my next AK, or need a new Glock mag
I'd say AR as well but I have enough of those that unless it has some unique feature, color or storage size *cough* like a casket or drum magazine, I couldn't buy any more before a magazine for another gun first

I have a TX 22 compact with the no manual safety version. The compact has a 1 - 10 inch barrel twist and the standard TX 22 is 1-16 inch twist. The TX standard 16 round mags will also fit the compact version but the mag will extend out a little bit.
Great value for the money in all the TX 22 series from Taurus in my book.

The compact looks like a great pistol but I love my full size tx22 it fits my hand perfectly I've never had a malfunction with the gun just a few problems with bulk ammo and even those where very few and when I examined the round they where bent or loose it suppresses great I did put fiber optic sights on it and the trigger had a little to much take up so I put and adjustable one in it and for the little money I invested it's my go to 22lr I leave it in my range bag all the time and my 3 other 22s get very little use any more.

I love my tx22 full size it's never given me problems with any ammo and even sub sonis suppressed with cci quiet auto it fires and cycles perfectly and i paid 250 dollars with a rebate when they first came out as far as bulk there may be a failure to feed thats ammo other than that i would say 90% will fire no problems im happy with my full size i like it so much i bought the extensions for the mags adds 5 a better trigger and because of aging eyes i got fiber optic sights but it's a excellent gun and i keep it in my range bag over all 3 of my 22lr and they are great as well but you have to go wiyh what works best.0

Me too but I don’t like that it doesn’t have the full open ejection port. But other than that haven’t pulled the trigger on getting one. Still love my 1911 22!

@@jbazan11don’t be concerned with that on the full size TX22. It very rarely is an issue. However the compact does have the open ejection port so get that one if it is an issue for you. You won’t regret it…the TX is really amazing for the money 💰

My gun came with a none centered barrel (sits very low) so any suppressor added cause drag on the slide (wear marks and malfunctions). Sent back to Taurus, they put 26 round through it none suppressed (knowing already that it functioned with no suppressor, and that it only had issues when suppressed). I called after receiving the pistol back and was told that if it functions without a suppressor, they don’t care
and will not be fixing anything. I had high hopes that Taurus was starting to turn around from the terrible company they’ve known to be in the past, unfortunately they are still the same company.

Hey man when nature calls sometimes you just got to GO!
But why let it interfere with your target practice. Use IT!
We practice all kinds of scenarios with obstacles. We are very vulnerable in the bathroom.
    Practice practice practice.
I bet Brad Pitt would trade in both custom Browning Buckmarks to get Lucky. Nearly twice the capacity and 1/4th the weight.
