After carrying a Shield 9mm 1.0 with 7+1 or 8+1 for many years, I became concerned with the worsening events over the past two years. I now carry either a Glock 26 with 12+1 and a 19 round backup mag, or a Glock 19X with 17+1 and a 19 round backup mag. I hope to never need either, but I always want to be prepared.
Military and police are trained to shoot the threat until it is no longer a threat. I carry as large capacity magazines as appropriate(concealed or open carry), and at least one spare, usually two. Then practice, Practice, PRACTICE.
@LoneStarLawman several years ago i order a few MecGar 1911 Mags abs had some functionality issues with one or two. They weren't feeding properly. I'll look into to it, tho.
If you check out my video, on the Sig Sauer P229 SAS Gen, I talk about the Mec-Gar 14 round .357sig/40 magazine. Worked fine in my P229. I also have several Mec-Gar 1911 magazines. All flawless, at least for me.
LEO from Brazil. Off duty i carry CZ P10S 12+1 and a 14 rds backup mag at least. Usually carry a CZ P10C 15+1 and a 19 rds backup mag. On duty: G17 19+1 and three 17rds mags and a PCC 30+1 and a two 30rds mags.
I carry a 15+1 double stack .45ACP 1911 so I have both capacity and larger holes covered. lol Definitely a large boi, but with a good gun belt, it's not too bad. And given 15+1 rounds of 9mm seems to be the upper limit of what a lot of people start out with in their gun, I feel good having the same amount of .45s.
Self defender survived several shots from 45ACP hollow points. Also, famous rapper 50 Cent, was shot 9 times from 9mm bullets. ruclips.net/video/vViw80If73k/видео.htmlsi=P9funrbDAJkRwKZL
"Bigger whole = more damage". Whole in shin, or internal cavity? Small, high velocity bullets do a LOT of internal damage (where the important stuff is).
With pistol rounds, the bullet moves too slowly for the temporary stretch cavity to do anything, so the only damage a pistol bullet does is the permanent wound cavity directly in the path of the bullet. So in that case, a wider bullet makes a bigger hole, destroys more tissue, and causes more rapid blood loss than a smaller bullet. It's also why hollow points are useful.
the thought of having more rounds because they're smaller makes me remember years ago when uzi's got real popular quickly and then faded away quickly! i like a round that will penetrate car glass and doors and still be effective hitting the target. i like 40 s&w 10 rounds plus a spare mag! ready for a group of bears or cars lol and if your worried about muzzle flip start at the groin and work your way up
43x with a 15+1 S-15 mag is good enough for me. I do occasionally carry a 20 round spare (S-15 with a +5 baseplate) if I have room. I’d never carry a spare in lieu of a flashlight and OC spray. ASP has viewed 40,000 gunfights and never seen a citizen use a spare magazine to change the outcome of a gunfight. Still, if it’s the zombie apocalypse and I need to get home, the 20 extra rounds will be nice to have.
In 25 years ive gone from carrying a 6 gun with no reload to a pistol with 16 on board with a spare 15 round mag in my pocket. Better to have it and not need it............,..

00:12 😂😂 Subscribed and liked for that alone!
I abide by my Scout motto..."Be Prepared"...always!! Personally, my EDC (Sig P229 in .357sig) is 12 + 1 with another 12 in the extra magazine.
Very nice!
Get a MecGar 14 round magazine, and you will have 14 +1!

Bro that thumbnail pic I have to have it that’s hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!
Great channel kid, good content, no nonsense and legitimately funny from time to time. Keep it up.
I appreciate that!
Its not about how many you have but how many can you connect
It is better to carry a semi auto and have more rounds than you need then need them and not have them with a revolver.
