The Finals Season 3 is NOT IT! Here's Why

- The Finals has been a lot of fun! But, Season 3 seems to be lacking. The new weapons aren't that great, only 1 new gadget was added, and I'm not happy about the new ability for the Heavy class.
Wish I could be positive, but I'm more worried about the Future of The Finals, than I am anything else. Let's talk about it.

I don't know about this video, chief. Most of what you mentioned is very opinion based and easily countered. Something that makes The Finals so good and what it is, is the variety. Variety of playstyles, weapons, gadgets, maps, game-modes, etc. Personally, I really like the new map. It adds variety. Its massive and open yet filled with super tight spaces. The new hook? I love it. So fun to use. I think the biggest issue (and what seems to be the most complained about aspect by the community) is the ranked game mode change. Now THAT is a valid complaint. Ranked is how you keep dedicated players. It was very bold of them to change ranked like that and I am not sure its paying off. Hopefully Embark continues to listen to the community, which they seem to do really well for the most part. Regardless, I hope you continue to have fun and enjoy the game! It really is a treasure compared to a lot of FPS games out there. Really hoping it can continue to succeed and deliver
Thanks! I've been having fun with The Finals and will keep playing for sure! For me, this season just doesn't have anything new I care to use. That is a me problem, and chances are there's a section of the community that feels the same way. I love the variety and how dynamic the game plays. Sometimes that variety can be lost, due to how most ppl rely on the same set of gadgets every match. I can play differently just for the heck of it, but it tends to come with my team being rolled over, if they're not putting down or countering the same gadgets. I tend to play Power Shift a lot, so that may be why I see the same setups in every match, and why it feels like the typical counters don't feel as effective. Either way, hope Embark shakes things up and they bring in some new gear next season that I can be excited for!

I think the Winch Claw is great. You can do much more than just "Hook an Enemy" and I don't get the disabling movement argument. We have Glitch mines and Grenades, Cannisters in the game. Goo and the Tasergun too. They all "disable movement" in some way.
You are supposed to use your movement beforehand to not get hit. Getting hit should result in a "punish". If you kiss the barrel of a double shotgun, you die. If you get headshottet with the Sniper, you die. If you Catch a Fraggrenade, you die.
Same applies with the Claw. If you get hooked, you probably die.
But you can counter the Claw with Taser, Goo, Barricades, Jumppads and just good positioning.
Being on the receiving end of the winch claw. None of what you mentioned has worked for me.
I dodged a winch once just because I was dashing around wildly, only realized after I saw the thing go across my screen but most of the times you don’t know you are getting pulled in after it’s to late
I don't think you mentioned even once in this video that you can use heavy's hook to move the cashout and other objects(including trophies from dead teammates).
I think we might get a new map world tour got to many stop for the maps we got
How many more seasons does this game last for….
From what I have heard, grab hooks can work in Overwatch because they punish bad positioning. I'd like hear as many reasons as you can give on why you hate grabhooks.

TA becoming ranked is the most out of touch change I've ever seen from a game developer. Who is withholding the information from the developers that there can be 2 ranked modes?
I really enjoy the mechanics and polish of the game, the game modes are stale in my opinion though
I don't understand how people can defend the winch claw lmao. Pretty much guarantees a kill (assuming the heavy is using sledge) except maybe mobile lights. Not only does it stun you it also pulls you which you're probably getting shot at through those transitions. 'Having fun' or 'loving it' is not a valid counterpoint to anything you said
Kyoto needs a rework badly. It's a great map, but it's not a great FINALS map. I'm also against Terminal Attack taking over Cashout Ranked, TA isn't fun with the game being balanced for Cashout. The new weapons were a letdown too tbh. None of them shake up the meta, and in return? They nerfed every other weapon into the ground. L season minus the new skins +BP imo.
The devs for this game are lazy as shit. All these people in the comments trying to protect their sacred cow because they can't admit that the meta is dogshit and terminal attack is as fun as watching paint dry. People breaking the fall and trying to run interference against critism for the dev is whats killing this game. People will read two different comments, play the game, realize the former was true and quit the game. Thats why this game is dying so fast on PC, the shit theyre saying is so great about the game doesn't match reality. The meta is staler than a week old bread. Winch claw is cancer. Heavys lmgs nerfed into the ground. Fcar has no idenity is just a subpar akm ((enjoy that diamond skin now)) also not to mention they add a bunch of melee weapons that NOBODY asked for. Yeah at this point its not a surprise this game is dying fast and now less people care if it survives. You got the same 80 people commenting on every critical video of the finals trying to airbag for Embarks lazy ass.
mad abt a hook when the heavy is slow as **** and the winch range is mid asf. everyone has so much mobility, if you get hit w/ that shit it's a skill issue 💀

Man...The Finals is still one of my favorite shooters of all time but the shit they're doing and adding into the game just screams they're running out of ideas. Idk how true this is but I've heard that the devs went from being really welcoming to new ideas to just discrediting ideas the community has
I wouldn’t be surprised, sadly. I’ll have to look around for those comments. They’ve been quiet about what changes they make. Would be nice to find/hear some explanation of what they’re trying to accomplish.
The problem was listening to the community tbh. They were very receptive and found the community is a mix of idiots. Honestly they got something good going. Let them keep cooking

Rly dunno why "light man" "medium man" and "heavy man" were the greatest characters they could come up with... Other games in poor states get to live cause there's lore people care about. This game? Better hope the patch is damn good if you want players in the game.
Having blank slates allows players to customize them more at the sacrifice of lore. It also prevents ability usage being tied to a personality of a character and limits freedom with loadouts.
tge optimization steel feel terrible on pc
Whats your setup? Im running a 3070ti and R5 3600xt and its still buttery smooth
@@Masterbasian my pc can run 100fps in training range with everything on ultra or minimum no sutters but in match cant pass 30 or sometimes 50fps (without something happening) no matter the graphics resolutions fsr or not, people have pc better than me and still playing 100fps on a game that on their pc's easily could get 144-240fps , my pc is not the best is bad a directx12 games but even if you put directx11 on the finals struggles stuttering every time because they cant optmize for cpu, my setup is a i3 7350k rx5500xt, is not the ideal setup for playing the finals but still the optimization of the game could be way better is not the player count or size map is not the destrucble everiment because in the match i was tested nothing was happening at all and its not the shaders i dont remember the gpu usage but probaly was very low still have games that can uses 100% of the both and the game runs smoothly
@@rhenanbanner same, but for me it is a season 3 problem, this season update brought this problem, it was running way better in season 2, back then i had a 3060ti, now with a 4070S it cant stay over 100fps all the time, fps flactuates alot. My cpu is a R5 5600X, every other game runs perfectly fine, is just the finals that has this terrible performance.
i really just want them to remove all melees and the throwing knifes and i think the game would be perfect
