Well you don’t have anything to compare with your current experience. As someone who has played since the open beta this game is turning into something that I’m sure many didn’t expect. It’s still a great game but many things that have been added are worse than they were.

Are you a fellow Ehrling enjoyer? I do believe The Finals can recover, it just won't reach its full potential/become popular. Season 3 was Embark's last chance to utilize The Finals' potential, but instead, they've wasted it. I do, however, believe that Season 4 will steady the player base and prolong the inevitable shutdown of this game. Now, to prevent that, Embark needs to make sweeping changes (Balance, New Content, Progression. Events, and General Improvements) come the Midseason update to the end of the season. Only then, can this game make a comeback and reach its full potential. The door is unlocked, the question is, will Embark open the door.
@@mayo4117 Could you elaborate? I play all 3 classes, medium the least and heavy the most and so far I've loved each season. Definitely been getting more into light since season 3, but that's because it was under powered in previous seasons but it has generally felt more capable this season.
The game feels alot better now than it did in both betas. I really think they got the balancing right now. Only need a few things fixed like the medium swords unbearable to play with (they can be good but even whilst destroying the whole lobby, you dont feel like it until you look at the scoreboard)
If you enjoyed the previous season, yeah, it is. There are definitely differences, and some gamemodes are worse off than others, but i would reccomend seeing for yourself. Try world tour, but dont try powershift, it is sadly infested snipers and lights in general, something about lights on powershift is just so annoying. Other gamemodes, for the most part, feel fine.
It's hard to play a game that has the players count dropping, It has a Battle Pass and a Circuit reward system that I personally like since it give me something to grind out and get rewards. A bunch of ppl came over from Apex and Warzone and made it impossible to play without sweating this suck 100% of the fun out the game. I hope they can attract a bigger audience next season.
I really loved ranked in previous seasons, but I just switched to world tour this season. I care about gameplay, not cosmetics or ranks. I don't understand the mindset of people who don't see previous ranked and world tour as the same thing.
I want a limited time mode that's kinda like world tour, call it "Ante Up" where your earnings are still tracked over the duration but you gotta bet a percentage of your accumulated cash to go into the cashouts. That way, the teams that win more consistently Instead of just playing more can get in the lead.
@@humanstew8866 That does sound like a good idea. Obviously due to my aforementioned lack of care for my progression, such a gamemode wouldn't incentivise me to play it over world tour, but that would certainly be good for any players concerned with ranking systems.
Well I know a lot of dedicated players, especially bigger content creators have been moving away from the game because of season 3, so hopefully season 4 will bring them back!
For me it’s just weapon balance and gameplay variety, and the fact that ranked was only in terminal attack this season was a huge L. KS23 and 93R feel awful/underpowered/too situational. Spear and Katanas are just trash. So we went 2 seasons and only have 2 new decent weapons (FAMAS which just got buffed, and Bow which is really skill based)? How is that even real? Every Heavy weapon is now very weak or situational, whereas almost all offerings to Light are either viable or actually busted. Everything feels off.
Idk about 93R but by playing ks in the last week daily I don't think it can actually be buffed, already hook into shot meele does like 145 any point of damage more will break this threshold and make it broken and just a Roadhog hook; they even nerfed chain for this; (might even break 1 shot breakpoints vs medium with shot hook shot melee) I wouldn't mind if it had breach on 2 shots or some other balance that wasn't tied to actual damage numbers;
The ks23 is really yuck to play with just due to its inaccuracy and bullets being projectile and slow. I love how good feels when you pull off crazy shots with it though. Ill stick with the grenade launcher though
Lights need to be tones down, and heavies need their range back. Medium though, feels amazing, dont touch medium, please i beg of them, mabey modify defibrillator or somthing, like, mabey a bit of a longer charge up, but thats all, i beg. Domt try to fix riot shield either, that should *always* be a gimmick.

Had a terminal ranked match where everyone left first round. I had to 5v1 for 7 rounds. Didnt wanna leave because of suspension. Plus ive been suspended for THEIR sever failing?? Like what?? 😢
I play powershift if i dont wanna play ranked/world tour, and then i go back to world tour because holy sh^t is powershift infested with snipers, and throwing knives lmao. Its such a good gamemode, but holy crap are the lights annoying as hell in that gamemode lol.

I believe it can recover, plus there is still 10k players playing on average so it's definitely not dead on top of that i can't wait to grind the new world tour
@trevorjensen4557 and to add to that, i hear about a lot of people saying they're playing on off, or waiting for TA to leave ranked, so the game will 100% recover, that 10k is probobly very off from the acual amount of different people playing for more than a day.

Honestly.... I'd be willing to skip a whole season worth of new maps modes an weapons if they developed an released a robust custom map/mode editor an being able to search for customs and playing them

Well I think a map editor would be really hard to make due to all of the dynamic item spawns and destruction thats involved and I believe they take all of the stress on their servers so they would need a lot more funding for it to work
Terminal attack needs to go. Its not going to be csgo or r6 cause its a completely different shooter. Its not built for it and its not their audience. They need to give it up and use those resources on something better
I wish it was, but it is plauges with glitch grenades and snipers. I can counter sniper, and i am not heavy enough to survive the snipers, the chaos was so fun in season 2, but now the payload moves an inch to one side and the game freezes lol.

I don't know in what world we would be happy to see number go up, even though you are as shit at the game as you were before. Season 2 ranked was great, had close games, with people 1-2 ranks above or below you.

Its a really fun game and it is very open for new players. You might be reading too deep for casuals that wouldnt know the difference. Videos like this kept me from playing until i tried it myself. Not a perfect game but way better than anything else on the market

Yeah, but the past ranked gamemode is still in the game, they just moved it, the competitive playerbase shouldnt have collapsed like it did lol. Although i can see why TA is so hated, it somehow feels one-sided on both sides.
Kinda hope so. Maybe someone else will buy the title and make a better gamemode then Cashout. This game would have been amazing with better game modes and more weapons and no body class. Unfortunately this game just made me want to play BATTLEFIELD 1 again. Frankly all they needed was a hard point gamemode or a capture the flag mode. 4 teams of 3 is just stupid, 2 teams of 5-6 is better for FPS games.
Started playing this season and don’t get why everyone is complaining. The game is fantastic! Each weapon is viable with the right circumstances and I had a ton of fun with the movement.
This is inherently not true. The CL-40 is absolute garbage (It hurts to say that because I love that weapon so much, but I just can't commit to it due to how bad it has been since the launch on the game.
@@spike5182 I’ve had fun games playing with CL-40 in the Power Shift pretty much dominating the lobby. Maybe it’s not great in competitive cashout or terminal attack, but that’s why I said “with the right circumstances”

Otherwise, it’d be getting close to impossible. Plus, balancing every weapon for every mode would reduce the complexity and fun of discovering the best use cases for each weapon. I think a more frequent meta rotation (every 2-4 weeks) would be a good solution. That way everyone would be able to enjoy their favourite weapons in all game modes for a limited time every now and then instead of never.
@@forty27 When you don't allow all weapons to be useful in all modes, you severely limit the replayability of the said game. It also creates a situation where every game feels the same. I agree with constant meta-shifts, however, it's also important, if not better, to hone in on the viability gap between weapons. All weapons should feel good to use which is not the case currently. Also, it is not impossible to do so, albeit, challenging. Many games have done so in the past and currently.

The new weapons could be work but they're not bad. The gadgets are not the worst either, especially the thermal Borg thing for light. By resetting it I mean starting over as a basic gameshow, building the world, and characters (Like scotty and june) properly, not by adding dolphins and other pointless decryptions/easter egg hunts. The game is just in a highly subjective state. Most people either really like it or don't like it. So far I've really enjoyed all seasons, but season 3 has been my favourite with balance changes, cosmetics and maps. I must ask: why did you watch this video if you don't like the game? It's been out for the best part of a year now so I see no reason why people who didn't enjoy it would get this content, let alone watch/interact with it.

Yeah, but the past ranked gamemode is still in the game, they just moved it, the competitive playerbase shouldnt have collapsed like it did lol. Although i can see why TA is so hated, it somehow feels one-sided on both sides.
Kinda hope so. Maybe someone else will buy the title and make a better gamemode then Cashout. This game would have been amazing with better game modes and more weapons and no body class. Unfortunately this game just made me want to play BATTLEFIELD 1 again.
Frankly all they needed was a hard point gamemode or a capture the flag mode. 4 teams of 3 is just stupid, 2 teams of 5-6 is better for FPS games.
Started playing this season and don’t get why everyone is complaining. The game is fantastic! Each weapon is viable with the right circumstances and I had a ton of fun with the movement.
This is inherently not true. The CL-40 is absolute garbage (It hurts to say that because I love that weapon so much, but I just can't commit to it due to how bad it has been since the launch on the game.
@@spike5182 I’ve had fun games playing with CL-40 in the Power Shift pretty much dominating the lobby.
Maybe it’s not great in competitive cashout or terminal attack, but that’s why I said “with the right circumstances”
@@forty27 You see, that's the problem, it's not good in any other mode besides power shift. All weapons should be viable in all modes, if not, you're doing something wrong. However, it's great to see someone having fun with the weapon
@@spike5182 By saying "all weapons should be viable in all modes," you're essentially asking developers to severely limit the variety of both weapons and modes. Otherwise, it’d be getting close to impossible. Plus, balancing every weapon for every mode would reduce the complexity and fun of discovering the best use cases for each weapon.
I think a more frequent meta rotation (every 2-4 weeks) would be a good solution. That way everyone would be able to enjoy their favourite weapons in all game modes for a limited time every now and then instead of never.
@@forty27 When you don't allow all weapons to be useful in all modes, you severely limit the replayability of the said game. It also creates a situation where every game feels the same. I agree with constant meta-shifts, however, it's also important, if not better, to hone in on the viability gap between weapons. All weapons should feel good to use which is not the case currently. Also, it is not impossible to do so, albeit, challenging. Many games have done so in the past and currently.

The new weapons could be work but they're not bad. The gadgets are not the worst either, especially the thermal Borg thing for light. Okay, the rank system was not the best idea but it's not a complete suicidal. There are people who still quite enjoy it. And people also like world tournament that doesn't make it feel like they have the grind hard I would wish they gave it back but they have to work on the game as they've stated. And I don't think the devs are that dumb. Look there's still a lot of days left. They will probably dump more things as time goes on
@@madvortex39 I don't like it. It's moving too fast and they're not building the world or characters well. By resetting it I mean starting over as a basic gameshow, building the world, and characters (Like scotty and june) properly, not by adding dolphins and other pointless decryptions/easter egg hunts. Right now, the story is all over the place.

The game is just in a highly subjective state. Most people either really like it or don't like it. So far I've really enjoyed all seasons, but season 3 has been my favourite with balance changes, cosmetics and maps. I must ask: why did you watch this video if you don't like the game? It's been out for the best part of a year now so I see no reason why people who didn't enjoy it would get this content, let alone watch/interact with it.

I keep wanting to play The Finals, but then i go outside or go to bed early.. I wish they added content at the same rate they do with cosmetics. We get new skins every week, but only 1 map every 3 months? Some unique gamemodes or events would be nice
