So many games promote a team-mechanic of some degree that ends up kinda follow, but with this game if you try and solo it you’ll be wrecked by a team who has any sense of cohesion
I always hate the statement “this game is better with friends.” That can literally be said about any game in existence. The majority of a player base will solo queue so it needs to be fun with randoms
The Finals is pure unadulterated fun. It could really use a TDM for those players that just want to shoot but other than that I really believe that The Finals is the best game you can play that didn't suck on release and is just fun that cost nothing. The epitome of a free-to-play game.
it does one better i've found. Players that just want to shoot are still contrubiuteing to the game. As in the hardcore modes anyway. Respawns from the menu are limited to two lives like an old school platformer. And teamwipes matter. The key is to work with at least one person. even if they are trying to solo. Two people working together allows the third to basicly do whatever they want.
@@spinyslasher6586Well it would bring a lot of player base in. I’d play it too because this game is too team based in order to play with randoms. At least in tdm you don’t gotta worry about 1 bad random ruining it for the team
The Finals is easy to learn and takes time to master. It's beginner-friendly. It's ridiculously fun and what I love the most about it is that the environment lets you do creative things with the game. Read a few negative reviews about use of EAC and cheaters but have never met any. If the developers care to continuously grow the game, it will eventually be able to rival Apex Legends and Warzone. But if not, it will eventually lose the playerbase like a lot of potential games before it, like Overwatch.
It be hard to fuck the game up like overwatch did, they left the game for 2 years with virtialty no content, and most stupid unfair unfun meta in any game ever
This game is really what the FPS scene needed. It innovated in ways we thought were too far into the future and is more optimized than most AAA games coming out these days.

I hope it grows and grows. Cool see it being on top on the MP gaming world. Definitely needs more modes and maps, but it sounds like the devs are just waiting to release things. I know it’s not the popular opinion but a more casual mode like tdm would probably help get more players on the game. At least as a limited time mode. Wish the prices in the store were a little lower, but it’s just the average price as every other game now. On consoles it’s pretty fluid and usually no issues. Game is super addicting though, one of the few games I’m always itching to play.
I have 8 hours in this game so far. I joined up with buddy’s and we played for 4 hours straight the other night. Maps are big so you never feel map fatigue. I don’t like the Vegas map but it’s not a “bad” map. It can definitely get sweaty but even at its worst it’s a fun sweaty and fair especially if you have teamwork. So far I love it!
I love Gameranx reviews so much I even watch for games I won’t be playing. I love learning about games, and also love a success story. Sounds like players are having a blast with this one, love to see it.
One thing I love about this game is that it feels like bf3, I don't know if its the guns and game sounds or the gunplay but it brings me so good feelings and it's so fun I love it honestly
I love the fact that this game allows you to destroy buildings to your advantage and encourages you to think . I’m absolutely loving the game so far and hope it doesn’t die off
Another awesome thing I love about the game is that each of the 4 maps have different times and things happening, like Las Vegas being covered in sand and Seoul being rainy
As a multiclass player, ive learned that as light you HAVE to play around your team to trade heat and get saves or teamshots to wipe teams more often, as a medium its best to play behind the heavy at a vit of a distance from the action but close enough to trade in or revive, and as a tank, either agress or defend, seap between both accordingly and only ise movement tech if being chased, in firefights its best to stand and face as you have the most health and defenses. Always play cover. Also, they have serverside movement, so that means if you lag from the server, everyone does, and speed hacks for movement is easily detectable.
Been playing it religiously since it came to xbox, makes me feel like a kid playing battlefield 3 for the first time but with so much more movement and customization and insane vertical map design. Once they add in more weapons and gadgets to widen the sandbox, I think they'll have made the perfect MP shooter. It's seriously impressive, especially in a culture of half baked launches.
This is the first game I've ever bought a microtransaction from - and i played overwatch since 2017 lol. I love this game and i see a big future for it.
I've been playing 'The Finals' since the Open Beta, before xmas last year, and I've been loving it ever since....It's easily one of the best shooters I've played and I've been a gamer since the Mid-'80's !! Started playing The Finals yesterday with my friends and I gotta say it's so much fun!! It's intense, satisfying and definitely puts your gaming skills and reflexes to the test. I hope this game make bigger and bigger waves in the future.
Since 9 months until now this game is worth it, every single second I've played is just a blast (in all the meaning of the word), currently in 4th season and MAN IT'S AMAZING
The finals can be described as this, a collaboration of battlefield and call of duty themed in a retro style game show, but I’ve had the time of my life playing it, definitely a breath of fresh air in an fps
We haven't gotten something this fresh for an FPS in a good while now. I've been having lots of fun playing. The colors and destruction remind me alot of BF3 and I freaking loved that game
I find the destruction awesome, there are neat features you wouldnt expect like fully working elevators which allow you to chose between floors. The player physics are a little janked but god damn is this game fun and enjoyable, which is rare these days, i cant help but praise this amazing this game is
I can't remember the last time I was non stop playing a game just for the game play alone, not grinding away at unlocks or trying to be the best. Good chaotic fun with some tactics and mind games.
THe main thing I would say about the game is this. It’s the first multiplayer shooter in a very long time where it feels like the devs actually played their game and implemented feedback. Is the game balanced? No. But my god does it feel so damn polished when compared to every other shooter coming out in recent times. Having a lot fun with this one. Good video dude
Yes it is balanced. Falcon even makes a point of mentioning how much balancing has improved. Also balance is subjective, so just because some random nobody like you thinks it isn't doesn't mean it isn't.
Agreed, it's one of my very favorite games currently and that's even though I don't even have any friends that play yet lol.. Absolutely enjoy this game, and even more so as time has gone on with their updates.
This game was such a pleasant surprise. It’s so much fun. Bank it is my favorite mode. The different weather and time of day for the maps is an awesome touch too.
not to mention multple varrations of the map. that go further. The skyscraper level has a version with moveing platforms. which change things completely. the vegas one has 3 varrations. Normal. Nighttime:where security systems are in play and the boxs are protected by lasers and turrets, and Sandstorm: Where the entire map is allready destroyed by the desert and its more of an open sky map.
It's honestly astounding how they managed to get such a good server side destruction system actually work in the game, it makes maps infinitely playable because you never know where someone is gonna push through.
This being a smaller team dev they said they sorta are looking at the MT purchases like the BP and skin sales to determine how hard they can commit to updates and expanding the title. So if you guys really enjoy The Finals drop these guys $10 - $15 bucks help keep this quality team in the works.
I fell in love with this game when I ran out of ammo and tricked a guy hunting me into going into an explosive barrel then bounced over his teammate and killed them both
Another thing that makes the maps feel constantly different is the deposit points. there are always two, and they can appear anywhere on the map. So, taking or defending a deposit always feels different.
PLEASE anyone reading this give the game a chance more than just 30 minutes or an hour play light, medium and heavy builds. Give the game long enough time for you to unlock more weapons etc….tinker with your builds and eventually you’re gonna find some thing you fall in love with. This game is so unique and I havent had this much fun in a while!
I admire your passion but an hour is all I want to give this. Had a miserable time and there is literally nothing in the battle pass I would want for free, let alone spend my limited money and time on. I don't see the appeal myself.
Love the game. Biggest thing that needs to be added is some more game modes that have 4v4 or 5v5 domination, payload, KOTH, CTF, etc. they basic mode is fun but I can see it getting old very fast and if they run solely as super competitive it will die off versus other comp shooter.
People are giving this game so much praise, I played it and thought it looks and plays like so many other games that I’m pretty sure I won’t bother to ever play it again
Do you still play the finals? Ever tried a competitive run like reaching a certain rank since you're one of the early players to achieve a high rank the longer the seasons the harder it is to achieve those ranks
It's one of these games, where you enjoy it at first and then people start using strats, metas, game becomes more complicated and competitive... in the end it just becomes another Apex / CoD or something like that
@@rismarck I wouldn't go that far. Though yes, eventually there will probably be a boring meta. They can update the game though. Either way, it's fun right now.
This will happen to each game nowadays. That's why you should go in and play it right now before sweaty people would figure it out and destroy all the fun
My biggest problem is that some weapons aren't viable. I don't want everything to be viable, but it feels like there are only about 10/20 weapons that can be used and get good results.
Recently learned that the studio who developed The Finals are comprised of formed veteran Battlefield devs. When the original Battlefield devs didn't like what DICE/EA was doing with Battlefield 2042, they up and left to start their own studio. Explains a lot to how the game plays and feels. One of my first thoughts when playing The Finals was how similar the running animation/sounds were in the game compared to previous Battlefield games.
I haven't played a multiplayer shooter in over a year as I've been so jaded and tired of the current norm. This makes me want to jump back onto multiplayer and that says ALOT.
One of the best parts of the game to me is that your best laid plans often mean nothing. There are so many tools available that you never really know whats going to happen next.
I think the bug he mentions at the 10 minute mark has happened to me. If it’s the bug I believe he’s talking about, you get stuck only able to more forward or back, that’s it. But you can easily fix it by switching gadgets 👍
With the rocket launcher glitch where the gun appears to be floating out of your hand I had that problem too just once in the training mode, and fairly rarely but every now and then I can't turn my camera unless I press a certain button first, seems to happen right after respawn but once again pretty rare. Amazing game and I barely play shooters.
thing to notice about finals battlepass, you get 1575 coins from a complete battlepass and they cost 1150, so you have 425 extra each season to get non-battlepass cosmetics.
What I like about this game is that, despite how heavy the game is in terms of indestructibility and how many usable items are in the map.. it just freaking works all the time. The game is smooth and every mechanic, gadget, tools and everything just works perfectly. No issues. And this is a game that was just released very very recently. The only issue that I ever had was server issues sometimes not working properly, specially if you have a group of friends playing with you that they sometimes don't get into the match and just gets disconnected. But everything just freaking works. The game is very simple and straight forward, yet you have A LOT of strats, options and ways on how to play the game despite having only 3 class. Never had so much fun for a very long time with a multiplayer fps game and i've been playing fps games since the very first counter strike.
I really miss the OG Red Faction. I remember the first time I experienced the destructive capabilities at my friends house I was amazed. It didn't take me long to own it myself.

The Finals is pure unadulterated fun. It could really use a TDM for those players that just want to shoot but other than that I really believe that The Finals is the best game you can play that didn't suck on release and is just fun that cost nothing. The epitome of a free-to-play game.
imo TDM won't really work that well in Finals. Games like Cashout give more reason to utilise destruction.
it does one better i've found.
Bank It is basically the tdm mode
@@spinyslasher6586Well it would bring a lot of player base in. I’d play it too because this game is too team based in order to play with randoms. At least in tdm you don’t gotta worry about 1 bad random ruining it for the team
@@spinyslasher6586Make kills cause detonation
It's already beyond apex and is a rival to war zone. Apex has been dead for awhile ngl

something about the cosmetics and microtransactions is that the pass in self-renewable and the cosmetics are actually kinda smartly put, the outfits arent just limited to a single thing and the throwing knives being cards is what sold it to me.

Have you not played much? They have deathmatch in the quick play modes it'll just randomly show up on a regular match.

Dorky question for anyone with a ps5, are you having the chat audio run through the tv and not through the controller?
Where was this Destruction environment in battlefield 2042?
As a multiclass player, ive learned that as light you HAVE to play around your team to trade heat and get saves or teamshots to wipe teams more often, as a medium its best to play behind the heavy at a vit of a distance from the action but close enough to trade in or revive, and as a tank, either agress or defend, seap between both accordingly and only ise movement tech if being chased, in firefights its best to stand and face as you have the most health and defenses. Always play cover. Also, they have serverside movement, so that means if you lag from the server, everyone does, and speed hacks for movement is easily detectable.
That guy at 2:11 JUKED his whole damn team, awesome.
The game is so fucking refreshing
This is the best review of the finals I've seen so far, and the best before you buy thumbnail to date.

And I would actually watch... Or join if I got good, and a good team.
We're Honored and proud to Finally Have Released this game. Hoping from the deepest parts of mine and our entire team's hearts that you guys Love it!
I do like how big it is and how fast it moves. Like Titanfall 2, and that's my absolute favorite FPS. Might pick this up.
Yea I’m glad a new game is out that’s not a battle royal
I find the destruction awesome, there are neat features you wouldnt expect like fully working elevators which allow you to chose between floors.
The player physics are a little janked but god damn is this game fun and enjoyable, which is rare these days, i cant help but praise this amazing this game is
Wait the elevators work!!! I've been using stairs and aiming my jumps horribly with jump pads lmao 🤣
I first played it in the Open Beta and was and was quite simply blown away. I haven't had this much fun in an online shooter in a looong time

No looking around corners etc. How did they miss that?
I can't remember the last time I was non stop playing a game just for the game play alone, not grinding away at unlocks or trying to be the best. Good chaotic fun with some tactics and mind games.
Its a really fun game try it out if you like FPS.
Way better than fortnite:)
This game is fantastic. Hoping for bigger team modes later.

I have no problem with cosmetics costing money this game is a blast. The game studio who made this needs an award or something
It feels like the light class is unstoppable at times. They are extremely fast and have so many weapons that are all really good.
Until a rocket launcher one shots you
@@MrEniiiGmaaaa or heavy bashing you with his shoulder in one hit

So if you guys really enjoy The Finals drop these guys $10 - $15 bucks help keep this quality team in the works.
I fell in love with this game when I ran out of ammo and tricked a guy hunting me into going into an explosive barrel then bounced over his teammate and killed them both
This game feels like bf3 for me just so goofy and intense especially with friends. Def a gem that can benefit from some love.
Mass hysteria. Feels nothing like bf3
@@whatsittoyou4153Guns and map dynamics definitely do, it was literally developed by ex bf devs mate

I love this game! The best multi-player in sooooo long!
Love the game. Biggest thing that needs to be added is some more game modes that have 4v4 or 5v5 domination, payload, KOTH, CTF, etc. they basic mode is fun but I can see it getting old very fast and if they run solely as super competitive it will die off versus other comp shooter.
I loved this game when it was in beta
yeah it is still really fun but i preferred the sliding from closed beta and the old UI for the cashout and vaults
um…thanks for sharing?
People are giving this game so much praise, I played it and thought it looks and plays like so many other games that I’m pretty sure I won’t bother to ever play it again
Do you still play the finals? Ever tried a competitive run like reaching a certain rank since you're one of the early players to achieve a high rank the longer the seasons the harder it is to achieve those ranks
This game is amazing, especially if you want to just jump in and out because you have little time to play during the week.
It's one of these games, where you enjoy it at first and then people start using strats, metas, game becomes more complicated and competitive... in the end it just becomes another Apex / CoD or something like that
Just a cookie cutter fps nothing special
Most games these days
From what I was seeing in this video alone yeah it seems like that's the case
@@rismarck I wouldn't go that far. Though yes, eventually there will probably be a boring meta. They can update the game though. Either way, it's fun right now.
This will happen to each game nowadays. That's why you should go in and play it right now before sweaty people would figure it out and destroy all the fun
the title sould've been "before you try" since it's free to play game 😅
My biggest problem is that some weapons aren't viable. I don't want everything to be viable, but it feels like there are only about 10/20 weapons that can be used and get good results.
Agree with you on playing with friends. A non communicating squad is very ineffective. Rolling with a few friends makes this game *chefs kiss
The game has been improved so much that this video feels outdated 😂 2 maps added, new game modes, gadgets , weapons .....

This looks like Rainbow Six Siege + Overwatch + Battlefield + COD Warzone, leaning most heavily to games in that order.
Played the beta for half a day and its tge most fun i had in a while, grinning from ear to ear even when im gettin killed

I think the bug he mentions at the 10 minute mark has happened to me. If it’s the bug I believe he’s talking about, you get stuck only able to more forward or back, that’s it. But you can easily fix it by switching gadgets 👍
They really need a ffa mode, public lobbies rarely coordinate with their team.
I absolutely LOVE this game and I was so happy to hear you say the same. It really is a unique breath of fresh air to the FPS genre and ITS FREE.
