Hey, when we select 'Cricut Maker' for the print and cut option, does it connect automatically? It's asking me to register the Maker. Do I need to have a Cricut Maker and register it before I can choose it for print and cut, or can I select it even if I don't own one?
@@sushreedas5139 when I made this video this was not an issue however some people are having the issue now. Cricut watches me and hates me hacking their stuff so it’s very possible they disabled the option. I haven’t had time to see about a work around
I have the Joy Xtra and I'm not crazy about how the Print and Cut shrinks my images for junk journaling. I'm trying to figure out how to get it to use Basic Cut to cut the silhouette of my images I've printed directly from a pdf but I'm getting a little stir crazy trying to figure it out! Might you have a video that addresses this?

@ I have seen a few other people mention this issue with other print then cut things with the Joy xtra. My best guess is it’s a glitch in design space itself because let’s be real when is there not something messed up there. Send feed back to cricut about it shrinking your stuff. It’s probably doing it to your other cuts too it’s just not as noticeable. In the mean time switch from live to beta in design space and see if that helps

I have the Joy and followed all steps up to where you click make it. I habe the Maker 3 selected and when I hit the make it tab, it says I have to register the machine first before it will do anything
Yes cricut watches me like a hawk and when I figure out how to make things work they love to go and break them. So sadly this isn’t really working at this time. I will be working on a new way around this soon.
Yes, I tried this tutorial too several times, thinking I kept doing something wrong. I always keep getting stopped at changing Cricut machines. I think they must have changed the app, because I cannot choose the Explorer or the Maker as the app to print, as this requires you now to register these machines before they let you move forward. You would have to create the entire sticker image in Canva, load it in Word or Google Docs and print it from there using a separate printer. Then also upload the image of that sticker sheet to Design Space and then load your printed sheet to cut, instead of print and cut.

@@CorinneBlackstone ok very odd, I get a pop up to setup , I click on cancel and nothing happens. I click setup and let it fail and click on skip, then nothing happens. maybe since you have both machines it allowes you to do it. I only have a joy for now thanks
@@alytacsss yes I’m aware of the issue. This is a brand new issue within the past few days of me posting this video. I know cricut watches me and does seem to try and destroy hacks I have posted. While maybe just a coincidence I have my doubts. I am working on a work around
What I do is after I click make I turn off the WiFi it allows you to bypass and go to the print section. When you click send to printer turn your WiFi back on

Confusing, but maybe it'll make more sense if I try it. Joy is not my favorite either... Rarely use it.
@@mojo2613 it’s easier when you actually do it. Because it’s to be multiple steps it can see harder than it is

my Cricut Joy is now shrinking every shape after I tried this hack, pen works properly, but I can't cut anything in right dimensions anymore...

Not to my knowledge. I have tried plenty of times and have yet to get it to cut again without unloading. Its one of many flaws with the Joy

@@encathal nothing has changed this video was literally made with the newer updates. You should be able to skip the step

They used to have print and cut on the Joy but took it away last year I believe
It won't let me flatten my image
Make sure you have items that are not already flattened selecte
