I Love my 23 TRD Off Road, double cab, Premium and Technology pkgs and a 6’ bed.
My Taco is basically a Limited with the TRD Off Road pkg.
The only thing that I Hated about my TRD was the factory Black leather interior. I contacted Katzkin and had them make my TRD Red Leather seat covers.
After Katzkin removed the black leather and installed the TRD Red Leather, with black trim and stitching, I sold the black leather to a friend who also owns a 23 TRD with grey cloth interior.
He’s happy with his black leather and I’m happy with my TRD Red Leather.
The first week I owned my Tacoma, I installed a K&N cold air intake.
My next mod was a FlowMaster FlowFX exhaust system.
My next mod will be the Overland Torque Tune so that the torque will kick in at 2K RPM, instead of 3,500 RPM. This Tune will also STOP the transmission from “hunting” for the right gear to go into.
I have other mods on the horizon for my Tacoma, but lol most Americans, I have to save up and buy whatever I’m wanting to do.

The Tacoma 4cyl is truly underpowered. Even the 4cyl Camry has more horsepower and torque.
If the Tacoma 4cyl had more hp and torque then I’d definitely buy one.
We simply use our 11 Ranger XLT super cab 4X4 with the 4.0 liter V6 for work around our property. We haul a lot of top soil, gravel, etc. Though our Ford is older, it only has 35K miles.
I installed air shocks on the rear so I can get a full yard of material in the bed without it sagging.
I also added a K&N intake and a Flowmaster exhaust. This allows the engine to “breathe” easier.
On the freeway with the cruise set on 75mph, I constantly get 25mpg, instead of the 19mpg before the new intake and exhaust.
We were going to buy a Tacoma 4cyl but it simply didn’t meet our needs and Toyota’s V6 Tacoma guzzles fuel.
So this is our 4th Ranger and I’m sure I’ll be dead and gone so my wife will use it until her death.
We bought the Ranger when it had only 20K miles. It’s silver exterior (we hate silver, grey or black), so I had it 2 toned in red metallic on the lower areas.
The previous owner put custom wheels and running boards.
I’ve had 2 people wanting to buy our Ranger, but it’s not for sale.
I also had custom red and black interior installed.
It’s a sharp looking truck, but again if the 4 banger in the Tacoma would have had at least the same hp and torque of the Camry, we would have bought one

      It’s a great pickup.
