      I wish I would have scrolled down farther before I commented, Novaset looked the most comfortable, and took better control of the offense during the Spring game in my opinion, being there and watching him, when he was out there he acted like it was his team and the other two were fighting for second!!!

    Their not ready yet, a couple more years of building.
    Novasad was the only one I saw at the spring game who looked confident at the line of scrimmage.
    Until I see the other QBs lose the "I hope I don't screw up mentality ", then we're not there yet.
    Nix, while still a good QB, never lost that mentality, that's why we only went so far, Herbert had on the other hand didn't have that, but his situation was different, he didn't have a coach as dedicated to the program as Laning is, Mariota somewhat had that confidence and command of the offence, Until things went bad, Masoli had it all, ( what an idiot to throw it all away), Joey Harrington had exactly what we need, he always took command of the offense and the bigger the game the better he played.
    We need QBs to have that mentality.
    But we also need backups with the same mentality, when we lost to Ohio St. in the championship game, we lost to their backup QB, the reason we list was because we didn't have that same mentality, Mario threw a couple good passes that were dropped, and the rest of the team gave up after that.
    Didn't mean to carry on like that, but I hope you get the jist of the message,
    playing not to lose will only take you so far, the ducks crawled out of the basement of the Pac 10 by playing to win, not by playing not to lose, until we get that back, then we will always be like the 90's Buffalo Bills, we will always be the team that the Champions beat!!!

      I think that you not thinking Dillon Gabriel has that is a big mistake, the games he played in and won at Oklahoma should be enough to prove that. He won a shoot out against I think Texas last year? The lone upset on their record and he picked them apart. That kid is scary good, and he will show you just how much when he takes the field against Ohio State.

    Oregon really have the tools to win the national championship this season... The schedule is favorable as they host Ohio State at Autzen Stadium and head to the Big House to play Michigan as there two toughest games... getting QB Dillion Gabriel from transfer portal from Oklahoma.... Noah Whittington is the feature back ... O-line will be strong as usual...

    First off. Baylor landed 3 grad transfers yesterday. Those are Texas Southern NT Elinus Noel III, Arkansas CB Lorando “Snaxx” Johnson, and western Kentucky LB/edge Jaques Evans. I know some of y’all will say really Texas southern, but Noel III had offers from P4 teams including 2 SEC schools. Evans was limited last year at western Kentucky due to injury, but 2022 he was great in terms of numbers. Obviously Snaxx is returning back to Baylor, and it is huge to have someone who already knows the scheme back. All 3 should make an impact.
    Now Oregon has to take advantage and make the 12 team playoff because Oregon is loaded.

    • @HQBergeron
      @HQBergeron Месяц назад

      11-1 is likely, 12-0 is possible. Lanning is learning and getting better and better as a head coach. His confidence is incredible, and for good reason. His players pick up on that. Alabama will be sorry they didn’t get him and had to take DeBoer instead. He is the new Urban Meyer, except with better players than Florida had. Oregon could begin a run like Alabama has had under what’s-his-name. Their biggest concern will be replacing assistant coaches as they leave to become head coaches elsewhere. And expanding Autzen Stadium on the North side to 75,000+. It will be the loudest stadium in America bar none. Go Ducks!

    • @cryogeneric
      @cryogeneric Месяц назад

      @@HQBergeron I'd be happy if they go 11-1 or 12-0, but I think everyone is downplaying how difficult switching to a new conference will be. Most weeks will be a new venue and opponent that you've rarely faced. Game plans will be hit and miss.

And get ready to expand Autzen’s North side, please.
