I’m glad ND got exposed as trash after their close win over a very mediocre A&M team. At the tail end of that game, the commentators were gushing and practically prognosticating where the Irish would land in the 12 team playoff. It will be nice to hopefully have the 12 best teams playing for a natty at year’s end, and not because a team happens to be blue bloods to the core, with not much more substance than that.

There is absolutely no good reason to have OU that high. They looked awful against Houston. Hell, UNLV beat Houston by more than OU did.

Notre Dame SHOULDN’T be in the top 25, IDC if they were in the top 5 last week. FSU dropped from the top 10 to unranked, ND should have dropped from the top 5 to unranked. You CAN’T lose AGAIN to a MAC team AT HOME, and be top 5 in the country. Same thing happened a couple years ago against Marshall. The Irish are massively overrated and they are on MASSIVE upset alert against Purdue, and it’s ON THE ROAD.

Kyle McCord is probably a better pure passer than Will Howard. Howard is just a better football player. McCord wasn't the reason my Buckeyes failed. He just didn't quite fit. I hope he does very well this year.

It's a miracle Notre Dame is still ranked

Coach Tom Hammock played running back for the Northern Illinois Huskies gaining 2,400 yards in 32 games. Serious medical condition ended his playing days. His record as NI coach prior to the Notre Dame game was just 26-32. This game is a classic underdog example of steller game preparation and game management (2 key interceptions/2 key blocked kicks). NI players were not intimidated. For this week only, NI is the temporary #5 ranked team in the country. Same position flips for all the other giant killers on Saturday. There's nothing moe satisfying then a major upset - unless it's your favorite team! DM

Auburn being upset is not really a surprise anymore. Auburn hasn’t been good for awhile. Kentucky was overrated as usual. Idk why anyone would be surprised with the Michigan result and I still don’t know why they were #10 while Washington went unranked. Both teams lost a shit load. Both teams were nowhere close to what they were. Honestly just a ranking to give Texas a “top 10 win”. Notre Dame was touted as a playoff team because they beat A&M??? A&M is not a team to beat to get to the playoff. Tulanes offense is pretty darn good in the pass. The rush not so much. I’d have Tulane as a favorite to win the G5 spot. That QB is no joke.
