I love that you made the point that those stats were against EXTREMELY potent offenses. Played against Penix twice, Cam Ward, Caleb Williams, and DJ U. Still had great defensive stats nationally.

Your right but to be fair we did luck out with their QB being freshman and playing his 1st game or 1st power 5 team

@@sirsir108 Nope no excuses and CJ was a sophomore technically but I wish 2020 game wasn't cancelled we didn't get our chance to play at Autzen with our Natty team. They beat us in our home no excuses. This team isn't that one!

I think BIG10 defenses were overhyped because BIG10 offenses were having a down year. Ducks will not have that issue with Dillon Gabriel at the helm.

I don’t want to be rude but Ohio State’s offense doesn’t exactly inspire fear.
There’s no CJ Stroud, Zeke, or MHJ on this roster.
Other than last year this may be the least potent Ohio State offense in recent memory.
The real fear is can Oregon score against their vaunted defense.
It’s arguably the best offense in the country. Stroud scared nobody at the beginning of 2021 and Zeke at the beginning of 2014.

Will Howard would be a middle of the pack QB in the B12 this year. At some point in the season he is going to have to put the team on his back.
The RB room is nasty I’ll grant you.

LOL - Ohio ended the season so bad last year, everyone expected a new HC and Ryan Day saw the light... his offense sucked. So, Ryan goes on a spree of hiring PAC12 coaches (Kelly, Locklin, etc.) to suddenly have an offense. Let me remind all of you. UCLA wasn't great last year and almost every game was won from defense, not offense. Watched every game... the whole game... my feedback is not based on highlight reels. Maybe these hires work out fantastic. Odds are high there is a learning curve, even if they are the right hire. Oregon is likely to smack down Ohio playing in Oregon; especially because Oregon is just upgrading while Ohio is re-inventing their entire offense. plus, Oregon brought in the key player... a proven QB who will excel @ Oregon. Just telling truth.
