    The information about where to meet expats was very helpful. If you could try to do that in future videos from other locations, that would be great. As an expat, we have definitely found that other expats do become your closest friends. It’s born from sharing a common language, goals, and lifestyle. What type of a payment system do you use to rent apartments and for in?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  3 месяца назад

      This is a cash society. It is easiest to find rentals if you are here. The best way would be to start with an AirBNB and meet up with the local community who can help you find deals.

    So, to clarify the Schengen visa: if you leave after 90 days do you have to wait until that calendar year is completed before returning? For eg if you are in Schengen from Jan - Mar, then go to say, Albania, do you have to wait until Jan 1 of the next year to return to Schengen or do you just have to be out of Schengen for so many days and then return?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  4 месяца назад

      No, you can be in the Schengen for 90 days out of every 180 days, then you have a fresh 90 days.

    Is english widely spoken in albania? I have read that renting a 2/2 should be between 200 and 300 dollars, so i would think buying something similar would not be beyond 100k. Is that fairly accurate? Any english libraries, by which i mean do they have several thousand fiction books ? thanks

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  3 месяца назад

      In many areas of Albania English is widely spoken, but not all areas.
      Depending on the city, yes, 200 to 300 a month could be found. Real estate could definitely be found for under $100,000 in Albania depending on the location.
      Thanks for watching !

      The first step is, they will have to become part of the EU
      That is still years away, and then they will need unanimous approval by all the other countries that are part of Schengen it took Croatia, Bulgaria, and Romania decades .
      For now, we will just enjoy the freedom afforded by the non-Schengen countries.
