- Join us today in Saranda, Albania where as Expat slow travellers, we get to try a number of places to eat. We love pizza, and today we are at Mattarello for the first day they open this year! We get an opportunity to check out the place before it opens, to watch them do some prep - and then of course, eat what could be the best pizza in Saranda.

There are many pizza places in Saranda, Albania. We've tried several and this might be the best!

I saved your video to check out once we made it to Sarandë. Well, we arrived here last week, so I watched it today. I was shocked to realize that we met you at the devil and the dick on one of our first days here! 😮. Great video and now we’re looking forward to trying this restaurant while we’re here. We will be in Sarandë until the end of June. Hope to meet up with you again sometime.

Thanks for the kind words and for watching! Lots of time went into that. I enjoyed putting it together. This is my "retirement hobby". Showing where we are, and what we are up to with people we meet in our journey of life! I'd never made a video in my life before the series in 2023 before we returned this March. I'm enjoying learning and thinking creatively about how to put stuff together.

Looks like 330g balls? That's what I do for my pizza oven, approx 14" pizza per ball.
Not sure, I didn't look at the scale but I would say about that diameter when done. The crust is so large around the edges but it's full of air, it's light. Very lovely and they showcase the crust.
