Of Crows and Clusters

Grossmont High School Red Robe Choir. From 1972-1986, Robert Boucher conducted the RED ROBE CHOIR (La Mesa, CA.) During his remarkable years, Boucher achieved a record of consistent superior ratings from festival judges throughout the state, often given the honor of having the choir be invited to represent the region at choral director conventions. The choir was made up of 60-80 dedicated singers selected by audition. The best 14-18 singers also made up the choral ensemble.

I was in this choir and remember this performance and the American Choral Directors Assoc
Mr. Boucher was a perfectionist and demanded nothing less from his students. This performance was one of the best.
