This is my favorite song of all time. I think I was 12 years old when this song was released. Barry Manilow has been a BIG part of my life for 48 years. All The Time is MY song. It was my life. Always feeling different, wondering why I was that way. I have converted my wife to being a Barry Fan, I see your Mom converted you too. Good for her.

Thanks Jayy, this song was the first dance song for the Mrs and I. I think it’s more of a “just because I like this, or think that, I’m not so strange or weird, but is there someone for me who likes the same things?” For us, she was going into her 3rd marriage, me, my second. So we both felt we’d been burned before. Where was that special “one”, that other half that everyone talks about? We finally found it in each other!
So I thank you for sharing this tune.

I was so lucky to see him live at Festival Hall in Melbourne, Australia, at his final show of the one and only Oz tour in 1983. He was spectacular and beautiful and I was even more of a fan after that. Blessings, BM and thanks for all the music. xxxxx

You think that's a sad song? Pull up " lay me down" that song is a real tear jerker. I have lived his music since 1977. Been to several of his concerts, met in briefly for a few minutes, got an autograph. It was fast but he was so nice. Lay me down is worth listening to. It's not what your thinking..lol

Barry married his highschool sweetheart Susan Deixler in the 60's ( they were together for 5 years, and of the 5 married for one and a half years) and when he knew exactly what he wanted in his life, he wrote a letter to playboy (Q+A section) , asking what he should do; leaving his wife or pursue a music career. They told him that if he wouldn't try it he would regret it for the rest of his life. He left before they had children, because if they'd had children he would have stayed. True story, told by Barry in his autobiography from 1987. Only much later he found out that he was actually bisexual, so him leaving his wife had nothing to do with it. After he left his wife (and he felt so bad, as they were so in love) he had a few girlfriends on the way to success. Friends say that what you see on stage is what you get off stage; a funny , cheeky and kind man. I can't help it but I love him. He says about himself that he isn't really a good singer, just an ok one, but I disagree!

Barry had the soft sentimental voice that many woman loved but critics thought to be too saccharine. Nevertheless he sold over 85 million albums throughout his long career. Not too shabby.

When you do your next round of Manilow try: I Made it Through the Rain, Daybreak, This One's for You (not live), & Looks Like We Made It. His voice has never needed editing.
