  • During the 2021 college football season, Western Kentucky's Bailey Zappe had the best statistical season for a quarterback in college football history as he broke the record for most passing yards and most passing touchdowns in a single season. He finished the season with 62 touchdown passes and 5967 passing yards. In this video, I show all 62 touchdown passes.

    What's sad is that when he broke the record so many people were trying to downplay it. True he isn't playing in the sec like Joe Burrow but it's still an amazing achievement and you only hope that he gets look at the draft

      No good deed goes unpunished coming outta the American conference, no matter how good you are a thrower...Keenums even from that conference...you do the math there.

    Zappe always played up to the competition when he was at Houston Baptist. The Huskies would lose regularly to Sam Houston, McNeese, and so on but would scare the pants of Texas Tech and other FBS schools. I'm glad to see how much success he had at the FBS level. Congrats good sir.

      Seriously... don't even matter if he's leading the ball, running a cross, or standing in the end zone. They barely have to even move. Almost every one right in the middle of the chest. You give this man some good protection.... ouuuu maaaan. Seriously F ing talented.

    I went to HS with Corey Robinson. He threw for 91 touchdowns and like 5,700 yards in 1 season.

      Mel Kiper of ESPN had Zappe ranked as the 7th best QB in the 2022 NFL draft in a Dec 11, 2021 ESPN article.

    3-4 years ago W Kentucky had a historical good offense. I remember when Alabama struggled a little with them that year people were wondering what happened that game. Bama won 35-3 but it was a closer game than the score showed, and at that point everyone thought WKU was going to be a 70 point win. They had huge numbers that year and boat raced a pretty good Memphis team in the Bahamas Bowl. So it's no surprise they are continuing their offensive show. impressive bc it's a different head coach

    The kids an awesome talent. I hope he goes somewhere that'll develop him. Honestly if WKY had a defense that was worth a shit they'd easily have finished the season 10-2. UTSA just had his number on the 2 times they played.

      It's really hard to judge right now considering he was a part of an air raid offense. He's got the talent, but his offensive scheme was definitely QB friendly.
      I'd love to see him get picked up by a team and sit for a year, and see what he can do with a year's worth of learning a playbook.

You put Zappe in a place like Alabama or LSU, people would have lost their shit and he'd be a projected number 1 overall pick

      Kurt Warner- Northern Iowa, Big Ben- Miami Ohio, Case Keenum from UH, he went to at least a conference title game...so did Josh Allen- Wyoming, you know his reputation so far...just like any given Sunday, any given school QB could get hot in their career
