In the 90s Thanksgiving football was Barry Sanders/Herman Moore followed by Emmitt Smith/Michael Irvin/Deion Sanders. Didn’t even need a night game back then…

Oh my, I remember watching this game live at my grandparents house on Thanksgiving when I was 14. I remember these amazing plays by Barry Sanders but was always disappointed I could never find them on any of his highlight reels. SO STOKED this game was posted, it's confirming my memories.
Damn this hit me hard. I can remember being a 10 yr old at my grandpa’s house, the whole family eating the Thanksgiving meal and then watching football. Though I was a Cowboys fan, Barry was my favorite player. Every Thanksgiving I got to watch him and then my team after. Have a little family football game in the yard. That was true happiness for a kid like me. Side note, I wish Nike would re-release those Barry Sanders shoes. Couldn’t afford them when I was a kid but I’d buy 5 pairs now. Happy Thanksgiving everyone
They released 2,053 pairs today. They sold like 250 pair at Ford Field and the rest online. Very limited release. 1 pair for each yard he had that season.
I had a pair of those . I remember everyone saying are those the Barry Sanders ? Yep. Daaaaang! Had the Herman Moore's two. Barry's were the shizgnig though!
Carmack Sanderson smith was overrated in my opinion. Sanders passed the eye test running plus had the paper stats too. He looked better on the field and in the stat box, just look at the numbers they don’t lie, he woulda crunched that rushing record before smith even sniffed it
Carmack Sanderson nah Barry didn’t follow blocks he was actually a guy that got his biggest runs when the blocking was the worst or he simply didn’t follow it
Thank you very much and if anyone who's ever followed Pro football that has any damn sense knows that Barry Sanders is and still the greatest Pro football running back of all time.

@@danieljackson8265 very true. People forget that the 90s Lions were actually a damn good team. After there win vs Dallas in either 90 or 91 they couldn't get another playoff win. You can watch an hour long highlight reel of Barry and then you watch this and it’s like well there’s 7 more laughter inducing moves he made in one game! I remember watching this game during one of the many wonderful thanksgivings we had.
