Great watch. I have the sister version the SNR029 and it replaced my MM300. The accuracy is bonkers at -1.8 seconds every 23 days. I have 6.5" wrists and it wears perfectly. The whole LX series is designed by Ken Okuyama, who lead the design work on the Ferrari Enzo, which when combined with Seiko's history is a wild combo.
Thanks for the information. I'm currently holding a few MM300'S Original and Black and the first Spring Drive. I'm heavily considering selling the SBDX001 and the MM600 to replace them with the LX I have a 7 inch wrist and am concerned this will be too large, the MM600 is a beast but it's just too tall, the SBDX001 is beautiful but it's a bit small on dial size. I think the LX is the Goldie Locks watch for me.
@dontbelieveeverythingyouth8173 did you get an LX?! It'll be perfect for you, the reason it seems diameter is bigger than mm300 is because the bezel. If you measures the case its the same as the mm300! 😊
This is awesome! I never get to see reviews of the SNR line. Somehow they always get skipped over on RUclips. I’ve got to have one of these someday. The spring drive makes it worth every penny to me.
I’ve always had my eye on an SNR041. There’s not that many great dive watches with brown dial. One way are another I want to own a seiko spring drive and a seiko hi beat. It’s going to take some to make that happen. I don’t really feel like i have to get an omega if i am spending 5k. I know seiko doesn’t have as big if bragging rights but I like the way they look the best.
What an amazing watch! I wish I could afford it but MM300 is the most money I have so far been ”able” to put into a watch. This is a too much money for me. Thank you for showing this..I enjoyed it a lot 😊
The MM300 is a sexy watch, that is almost 95% on par with this LX line, for the shear fact it doesn’t have the Spring drive, but it does have the under-dressed 9S55 Grand Seiko movement, which is incredible! To be honest, I’d sooner have the MM300 over a GS diver!
I just picked one up in trade for a Panerai Sub (plus a big chunk of cash to me). I have a Rolex Sea Dweller 43 and a Sinn EZM10 as well. I like large watches. These are my three keepers. I have wanted a spring drive dive watch since it was invented. I just didn't like the styling of the GS divers. This one really hits the mark. It has the classic Seiko look but with refinements of a GS. The bezel is also brilliant. It is buttery smooth - as smooth as the Sea Dweller but quieter. And watching the second hand move so smoothly is so satisfying. And the case finish is gorgeous.
I love that black look and would love to own one, But only after I own the best, the Grand Seiko SLGA001. What do they say: "You buy a Rolex to impress others, you buy a GS (or this one) to impress yourself!"
Oh la la! Very nice piece. I think this is a nice iteration of the LX. I do prefer the SE Green version but this is lovely and the LX. It's my Fav Seiko diver with the Sumo a close second I bought San Martins newest LX/MM300 homage in Green. Very close to the LX but just over 13mm thick its a stunner. Much better balanced design than Seiko's MM300 which to me has a very small dial appearance and is just too thick.
Had a Grand seiko Spring drive diver titanium very nice but but too dressy after a while the Polish becomes becomes dull 😑 Only good thing about the Grand Seiko it's a thinner watch ⌚ Plus great video Have the Seiko LX spring drive now very happy 😊 but not a winter watch because of its thickness
Thanks for the review. The misis has asked me why i spend this amount of money on a seiko when there are well-known swiss watches to get at this price point. But alas, the heart wants what it wants i guess. 😁
That is a fantastic question and I would have to probably do research to figure it out but off the top of my head I don't think anything surpasses the skx.
@@EscapementWatch yeah, I’m sure other models like the turtle and alpinist all had changes made or were discontinued before the 24 years the skx was alive
Love the LX Lineup but those ara HUGE watches no for my girly wrist :( Need to wait for a better case size around 36-41 mm. Nice review Buddy! Take cara and Ty
Yes nothing is allowed to get close to 3-5k. If it does then everyone says the same thing. Even for Oris cal400 or other swiss brands. "uhh durrrr you can get a tudor or omega" Only those two brands are allowed at 3-5k mark. No one else.
this scarcity marketing is annoying. all I wanna do is go buy the watch without getting scammed. they make it hard man. Seiko have missed out on about 50k from me due to the scarcity of thier watches in the past 24 hours alone. not even exaggerating. at least 50k. I have a pile of seikos I actually want to buy but it's always trial and error finding stock from my ad.
They have a formula used to calculate how many units to produce. We have the SNR031 AND 035 for sale still I believe if you want one email us free shipping.
I'm a big Seiko fan, but that price is a very tough pill. That amount of cash could get you a JLC Polaris, Planet Ocean, Panerai Sub, or FF Bathyscaphe. So you've purposefully got to ignore all of those very attractive options, and go no, I want something that looks basically just like a $2500 Marinemaster, but with a SD in it. And while the SD is certainly cool, the recommended interval is 3 years which seems VERY short, especially if you're going to be looking at a $700+ bill every 3 years. Rolex doesn't need to see your watch again for a decade.
Don't listen to the average recommended interval. I know SD owners who are 10years still before service. The Spring drive has less friction then a normal mechanical. Just wear it until it stops working good. Then service it.
This movement would be on the lower end of what Grand Seiko is providing for their diver watches. Also this is stainless steel not titanium, arguably not worth the price. At that price you might as well go for the less scratch resistant titanium.
You mean, more scratch resistant not less. Even though Titanium is more prone to scratches when compared to SS, mine is in pristine condition. Seiko is probably using a good quality Ti. The movement used in LX models is 5R65. Grand Seiko’s uses 9R65. Just one step above but very similar.
@@Ken-vl4wk I love this watch. Honestly, re-reading my original comment I have no idea what I was trying to convey. It almost seems like my comment was bugged into this video that was intended for another video lol. I agree with everything you're saying btw Ken.

Seiko makes some of my favourite divers. I need this.
Buy a Rolex to impress others, and buy a Seiko Spring Drive to impress yourself!
I stopped watching Dune in the middle of the movie to watch this video. Definitely worth it that’s a stunner
I'm gonna have to watch this dune movie
From every corner this is the best watch ever with Spring Drive movement! Got a big wrists, thus 45 mm diameter fits perfectly
100
A very high end Seiko 😍👌
This is a crown jewel!
Can't wait to get mine!
I have a SNR029. I love it.
029 is awesome
Absolutely gorgeous!
This is awesome! I never get to see reviews of the SNR line. Somehow they always get skipped over on RUclips. I’ve got to have one of these someday. The spring drive makes it worth every penny to me.
I think they are considered a little bit of a flop sales wise so they are not great for views? is my best guess why it is not covered.

This is one of the smoothest running watch i ever saw. How did they do that? Looks good
It is a spring driver!
I have the limited edition "moonlight" version of this.

Oh man, what a great watch! It's on my list. Thanks for the review.
Any time!
I think a bright white lume would look a lot better than off white, personally.
I think same its only thing holding me back

that seconds habd its just hypnotic!!!!!!!!!! The SNR029 is my grail watch :)

Thanks for watching!
Spring Drive movement....nuff said....lmfao...great video buddy! been waiting for this one. Keep it up and Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed
@@EscapementWatch always a great content. keep it up.
Hi!
I'm looking to buy this watch. May I ask your opinion regarding its durability? How does it hold up from when you bought it until now?
This is lent into the channel. I don't own it. But the seiko coating is very durable. Kavar has one for sale I believe. Email me to discuss
How do you time graph the spring drive?
Can't.
Sick Seiko Prospex.
Had a Grand seiko Spring drive diver titanium very nice but but too dressy after a while the Polish becomes becomes dull 😑
Only good thing about the Grand Seiko it's a thinner watch ⌚
Plus great video
Have the Seiko LX spring drive now very happy 😊 but not a winter watch because of its thickness

Next watch-> !
Understated beauty...your mission now is not to tell anyone about it. 😉
Can you review the snr043?
Thanks for the review. The misis has asked me why i spend this amount of money on a seiko when there are well-known swiss watches to get at this price point. But alas, the heart wants what it wants i guess. 😁
Well said! And very true!
Swiss watches are overrated.
This is a piece of art.
If I had the cash lying around..
Cool looking chunk.
Right on
Would have been nice if they’d have put a dlc coating on it.. pvd just doesn’t cut the mustard, long term
OH god I didn't notice I said PVD. It is DLC in fact. Sorry!!!!
Excelente video 👏.
Is it ok springdrive when emp bomb exploding?
are there any watches that have been made by seiko in production - and unchanged longer than the SKX?

super watch
Wow it wears pretty well
magic!
Beautiful !!!
Great video. Hopefully they’ll make a slightly smaller version.
Hope so
This is incredible!! Very expensive, though, it must be said.
It is like Seiko doesn't want to sell them!
Are there any other lx models with smaller dimensions to suit our 6.5" wrists??
No yet. Maybe one day in the future.
This. This is my dream piece. The only problem I have with this is that it is not as anti-magnetic as the Aqua-Terra.
If magnetism is a big concern omega is the way to go
I'd be interested to know if it's worth the extra buck beyond the MM300 Ninja limited edition?
So badass. As much as I love the look of PVD, For the money you spend, I would go no PVD
No PVD ,but special DLC.Have a nice day.
Nice watch but if it was 58 mm or higher, it would be banger
Great looking watch, wish they didn't have that awful power reserve indicator on the dial, it just ruined the look of the watch
I love the watch. I do not love the price. 😆
understandable
beautiful. just can't afford it
Prices?
It somewhere in the video but roughly $7000CAD or $5500USD email me for a discount code
Big watch ! But beautiful !😊
Indeed!
whatever the price baby, I want it
but I dont want that cheap ass bracelet with it, you can keep it
I would've bought this in a heartbeat if not for the damn 4 o'clock crown. Bummer.
Big wrist….and a big wallet 😂😂😂

HEY!! I'M THE 745th "LIKE"!!!!
Do you have to send it back to Japan ($1,000 and wait 10-12 months) to get it serviced?
9K CND with taxes is really too steep, 5K ok, but not 9.
Call Kavar Jewellers let them know I sent you and they will take care of you.
Maybe I know what is the background music??
This or omega?
Lovely, but does it REALLY need to be quite that thick? 🥴
Beautiful but too thick. This is why the Rolex Sea Dweller Deep sea is also a fail, too thick.
Yeah once a rolex hits 13mm thick it loses its rolex-ness lol
@@EscapementWatch yes I agree
You are comparing Apple to Oranges. Seiko is much lighter.
Another big negative is the Prospex Logo!
Nah. There's a big deposit on the bottles.
6k for a UTILITY watch....wow.😳 So.... I'm gonna get 2. You know...one for the weekend.🤦🏻
Nice watch but I would never pay that kind of money for a watch that the black coating will eventually wear off. $6000!🙀
Am I the only one who sees dust particles on the short end of the second hand?
