Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) episode 179: Dennis the Menace. Hey! Mr. Wilson!! Here's the Nerd playing the 1993 Super Nintendo game Dennis the Menace. It's a licensed game based on the movie, which is based on the old show and comic from the 50s and 60s. The game was designed by Ocean, which is basically the British LJN. The Nerd hasn't done a full review episode on an SNES game in a while, so, here you go!!

I never seen that episode of The Critic but it's artstyle is really unique, I recognized it in a heartbeat. It's such an underrated gem of a show.

Did you know that the amiga version of this game is actually impossible to beat? They ran out of time, couldn't add the final boss or ending so they added a jump in the final level that is impossible to get over

Here's a fun fact, the Amiga version of this game can't even be completed. They ran out of time to finish the game, so they made an impossible jump in one of the final levels so that there's no way you can ever beat that stage.
Also, to be fair, while Ocean has made a crapton of shit, they actually did have a few good games. If you want a real British equivalent of LJN, look up Tiertex.

I'm from the U.K. and remember playing this on my Amiga and being so confused why it wasn't the Dennis and Gnasher characters in the game. 30 years on and that mystery has been cleared up!

Jaheim Crussell you can see it as he puts in nine lives in the option menu. It’s on hard difficulty. I’m not sure if that’s the default. It would feel very artificial if James set the difficulty high just to whine about the game’s difficulty
