- Prestonett Multi Light roll on plaster from Beissier.
In this video, I demonstrate everything you need to know about plastering a wall using a Roller & a Spatula. I'm using Prestonett Multi Light for this, applying it with a roller and then smoothing it over with a spatula. The video covers the entire process, enabling you to grasp the technique easily and carry it out yourself with greater ease. I'm here to assist you every step of the way. The outcomes are truly impressive.

Absolutely brill I am going to give it a go and I am 60 and diyer
Let me know how you go on
If I could read I’d of been a teacher 😂 he cracks me up every time
Been doing years with easyfill
It’s nothing new. Been skimming walls using ready mixed jointing compound and a caulking board for years. Dulux used to sell it in 10L tubs.
Yeah don't no why decorators think it's new either.one coat a good scratch down piss coat it and Dec as normal
Another great video Phil 👍🏽
I’ve got them blades but in mirka £145 I paid for 2 in different sizes gonna get the whole set there amazing
Dziękujemy.
Many thanks.
Well done phill, was looking at that product when in brewers last, like you say initial out lay can be expensive. But again you may have some tools that will do equally as good like a spatula/spat. Not so keen on the rollers shedding as they did, bit annoying. I wonder if you could put it on with one of your worn in normal rollers 🤷♂️well done for your first try at plastering, end result looks good 👍
I guess its a stepping stone to plastering. There seems a lot of faff compared to plastering but if u cant plaster its the next best thing. I'm happy with filler and wallrock but will give it a try
Following!!!!
Plasterer would charge about £300 to do that room.
I wonder if you could use that over a stippled finish on a ceiling?
Yep, scrape off any highlights.
And you can float over it.
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator thanks for the reply.
G ood vid Phil, jf
Be interested to see what it’s like to paint over, assume it will need a mist coat?
It's had Isomat 2in1 primer on it... Video out soon.
No problem taking paint though.
I've seen the Level 5 skimming tools starting to make an appearance ; this is similar to them.
I can't see normal decs moving away from fastset and easifill for this. But who knows, maybe it's time for a change.
Spray plaster??
Nice video, handy stuff for an amateur. If you were putting this over a bad wall what would you prime it with first? Gardz?
I think you could. Check the instructions.
Nice wall art 👀 😂
You teach me how to wallpaper and I will show you how to tape…..;)
BESSSS-EEEE--AIR
JO IS RIGHT
May aswell just tape and jointed that wall, no need to skim fill it at all
And the bead edges?
It's made a good video though lol
You could just filled the joints and screw heads feathered out the bears ,sealed it tape and joint style
Two tubs £60 6 hrs £70 on tools you will rarely use
Not economical at all
You could do. Just seems to be the UK that has to plaster I guess?..
All sites I do are taped not all skimmed in my area
Have you fell out with your brother in law 🤣
Any PVA?
What for?
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator plasterers love a bit of PVA but if they are fancy they use green grit.
it’s called feebond mate and you don’t pva plasterboard
Bit pricy Phil for skimming walls 30 quid for 10kg multi finish 8-10 quid for 25kg. spose ok for a small room or 2 but imagine through a whole house
Can you get that pre mixed too and applied by roller?
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator you can at over double the price this is 3 times the price you can roll multi finish did it once just to try and it worked quite well but it is harder to use as your got to get it right without sanding it all down and trowel up etc this gear is better but great if the price didn't make viable for big areas
It’s lord Loxley
Who's that?
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator from the mr selfridge tv series lol
@@guyrosin19 didn't he knock his wife about?
Made me chuckle 😂😂@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator
What a palaver, just get a bag of plaster, cheap hawk n trowel, cheaper and better, in my opinion
Plaster would take days to dry out. Such products will be good to go the next day and will be favoured by decorators. They can coat a wall, go do other work for the rest of the day, come back the next day to sand and paint.
@@Christopher_T_Paul yeah, you have a point there, if the jobs that urgent
I wonder if you could use that on a stippled ceiling?
@@LS-td3dz More than likely. There is a product available specifically for covering over textured ceilings called "Polycell Smooth Over", not sure what country you are in and availability though?
Basically ready mixed filler that came with a plastic filler knife. Plastic blades make it easy to get a smooth finish, but the problem with plastic blades is even though it will look smooth, it may not be straight
Bay-see-ur
Toupret Joint and Skim is a better product than the Prestonett, which is also good. Used tons of both of them.
Just skim it what a load of rubbish
Clearly it's not ;)
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator if you know what your doing with multi finish you can speed up the drying time so clearly it is
Are you having a laugh mate…
In what way?
Having a laugh meaning you haven't got to wait for plaster to take days to dry and not apply a mist coat you mean?..
