I've been listening to Enigma since 1990 and still love their music today, at 62 years old. Enigma keeps me calm and collected during all this chaos we have in our Life. But, never change what makes you happy. Love, peace and happiness to everyone and especially to us who miss the 80s and 90s.

I really thank you Mr. Cretu for making official videos for singles that were not officially released at its time as "The Voice Of Enigma" or "Knocking On Forbidden Doors" for the album "MCMXC a.D."; but what he cannot understand until now, how is it possible that he has not made an official video of the best song he has created in his entire career (in my humble opinion), I mean "Prism of Life" from the album "Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!" Please Mr. Michael Cretu if you ever read this message, please beg him to make an official video for "Prism of Life", you don't think a masterpiece like that deserves its own music video. Amen!

Enigna Chapters 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 ( excluding the compilation albums ) are perhaps my favorites with so many truly beautiful songs and the stories in those chapters quite provocative. Songs like "The Child in Us", Je' Taime (Til My Dying Day), "Deja Vu", "Goodbye Milkyway", "Sitting on the Moon", "Why!", "Silence Must be Heard", "Gravity of Love", "The Language of Sound", "Amen", "Return to Innocense." There is always the signature Enigma beginning and ending in every album ( Chapter) though sometimes it morphs a bit to adapt to the new story line of each new chapter ( which is like a book another chapter telling one big complex musical story)! Future albums have musical interludes that harken back to previous albums to show both parallels and divergences of the ever unfolding story! Your reaction was that of a music lover who intelligently analyzes the music. You experience music, you don't just hear it. I very much appreciate that about you. That and of course that you are a very handsome man too ( no creepiness intended). Can't wait to watch you react to more of Enigma. Glad you love them as much as I do. America just never caught on to Enigma like Europe did. I hope you'll reintroduce Enigma by going down that rabbit hole. They deserve America's love.

Reminds me of Eric B. & Rakim Paid In Full joint.
    Thinkin' of a master plan
    'Cause ain't nothin' but
    sweat inside my hand
So I dig into my pocket,
    all my money is spent
    So I dig deeper
but still comin' up with lint
    So I start my mission,
    leave my residence
    Thinkin' "How could I get
    Some dead presidents?"
    I need money,
    I used to be a stick-up kid
So I think of all the
    Devious things I did
    I used to roll up,
    "This is a hold up,
    Ain't nothin' funny
    Stop smilin',
    be still, don't nothin' move
    but the money"
But now I learned to earn
    'cause I'm righteous
    I feel great,
    so maybe I might just
    Search for a 9 to 5,
    If I strive
    Then maybe I'll stay alive
So I walk up the street
    Whistlin' this
    Feelin' out of place
    'cause, man, do I miss
    A pen and a paper,
    A stereo, a tape of
    Me and Eric B,
And a nice big plate of fish,
    Which is my favorite dish
    But without no money,
    It's still a wish
'Cause I don't like to dream
    About gettin' paid
So I dig into the books
Of all the rhymes that I made
    So now's a test
To see if I got pull
    Hit the studio,
    Cause I'm paid in full

@@retroreactions.... no Buddha Bar is a compilation of songs from different artist around the world. It is nothing to react to, just to listen to by yourself when you want peace and beauty. Sort of lounge music. Buddha Bar and Cafe de Paris were the two main compilation albums in the 90s, many albums each of them. But as said, nothing to react to.

Yes this really is a gem! Nice to witness you enjoying it like you did in detail.
I got this album at the moment of release in 1990. I have played it over and over at the time. I ultimately lost interest in Enigma after their fourth album. With that I carelessly discarded this album as well, which I returned to around 2020. I relived the joy I at first experienced. It inspired me to make my own remix version of the complete album incorporating the remixes of Sadeness, part I (extended trance mix, meditation mix and Violent U.S. mix) , Mea Culpa (Fading Shades mix), The Principles of Lust (Everlasting lust mix) and The Rivers Of Belief (Extended Version) but maintaining the ambiant feel to the album as a basic starting point. This remixing process really was a joyful experience to me.

Enigma is very audible, it even sounds good. But like Enya, it's New Age fast food, the genre's McDonald's and KFC, full of comfy familiar clichés devised to produce a certain set of emotional responses that you can expect and not be disappointed. It will be a shock when you discover the real Michelin-starred chefs of New Age. *Nightnoise* and *Shadowfax,* for example, will blow your mind, along with the *Windham Hill Records* catalog from its 1980s golden age, a real treasure trove. CBS Records also released some great titles back then, such as the beautiful "The Source" by Japanese musician *Osamu Kitajima* (who later switched to a more electronic/EDM work).
