The NextGen nclex is coming up soon and I just fail the exam on my second attempt 🥺🤦♂️💔, I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling right now 🤕😣, I'm confident that I will be a good nurse too. I just need to get past this too and move on.
Just say "I haven't passed yet." Don't take it as a failure but see it as a learning opportunity. There is a lot of power in "Yet" you are telling yourself that you will get there and that your eyes and heart are still fixed on your goal.
I wish all teachers would teach like you. You start off with the fundamentals first and then gradually move up to what's important. I like how you reiterate important concepts to know. Oh, and I just ordered the complete nursing school spiral book and the pharmacology flashcards. I can't wait to start studying. Thanks for all your hard work.

Thanks for the comprehensive video! I have one question. I saw another resource said that D51/4NS is isotonic. If your logic is correct with the solution starting with 5%, shouldn’t the solution be hypertonic?
Good question! 5% dextrose is the exception - this starts as an isotonic fluid and then changes to hypotonic when the dextrose is metabolized in the body. I hope this helps clear that information up!

This can be super confusing to understand for sure! Basically, it comes down to the fluid that the 5% dextrose is mixed with. D5W without the dextrose is essentially just water. Water is hypotonic relative to plasma once the dextrose is metabolized. When dextrose is mixed with other IV fluids such as D5NS, D5 1/2 NS, and D5LR the solution is hypertonic relative to cells after metabolism. I hope this helps clear this information up! I have a Samsung. Is there a special app or program for the nursing bundle download that you can make notes on there? I only have a read only for the samsung
