Your channel beats all the nursing school teaching channel on RUclips seriously. All straight to the point and easy to understand. Your study guide is also the best.
Oh my, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you find my content and material helpful. I do all I can for nursing students like you. 🩺 Happy studying, future nurse!
Just got accepted into nursing school. I have two years of general classes but meanwhile I am studying as much material as I can before starting my nursing core classes! Thank you!
Congratulations on your acceptance! 🎉 That's so exciting! I wish you all the best on your nursing school journey. Feel free to reach out any time with questions; I'm happy to help. 💛
The doctor during my pregnancy DR.Tesla treated me like it was a military hospital when it was a CATHOLIC hospital. They knew nobody wanted warfarin but they could've at least recommended or suggested it. Stay away from bad hospitals. We already knew what we needed There politics got in the way and I understand that labor is a time factor. Thank you for sharing this information.
Eliquis and Xarelto are both anticoagulants with similar mechanisms of action. Differences will be noticed in dosing and the requirement of administration with/without food. Other factors associated with these two medications are fairly similar. I hope this clears up this information for you!
They should've gave me heparin when I was pregnant. I wouldn't have been so physically sick in this lifetime. It's life saving medication honest to God. A difference between life and death 😭 All of this over 1 pill. I'm sad 😢
I'm glad you asked! These medications work to prevent or decrease current blood clots. Heparin has a faster onset of action than Warfarin. Each patient is unique in their presentation, so medication choices will differ based on all presenting symptoms, medical history, and current medication use. 🙂
I don't currently have any content on that. I am always looking for ideas for videos and content to share information on. I will keep this in mind for the future!
Many medication classes have distinguished suffixes or prefixes to help with memorizing them. However, some do not. In these instances it often becomes necessary to commit these medications to memory unless there are particular instances of patient care, clinical episodes, etc. that you can come up with a personal memory trick for. The more you use and become familiar with specific medications, the easier they will come to mind and you will be able to recognize them. I hope this helps provide some insight on this information!
Thank you so much for your question! Heparin and warfarin both work to prevent new blood clots in those at high risk or to prevent existing blood clots from growing. They both can result in increased bleeding time, but their action is to prevent blood clot formation/growth.

What if the class does not have a distinguished suffix?

Pneumonics are 👍 awsome

Wait what my teachers tell me that warfarin/coumadin thin blood and increase risk of bleeding out
Thank you so much for your question! Heparin and warfarin both work to prevent new blood clots in those at high risk or to prevent existing blood clots from growing. They both can result in increased bleeding time, but their action is to prevent blood clot formation/growth.
im still confuse with the therapeutic level
Do you have a specific question I can help answer?
do more pharm videos :)
Will do! Any medication suggestions for new videos??
I use "the King declared War" to remember for Warfarin
I'm schocked Americans call patients clients...
I thought this was going to be about WWII but it's about medicine instead...
