I don’t think a lot of people know that they need to do this. I was one of those people. I am just now understanding why it’s needed , so not everyone knows. Everyone just hears all the youtubers say to like comment and subscribe, but don’t know why cause it’s usually not explained often. I finally understand. Maybe we need videos on how that works more to get the word out to people who don’t know .

@@leeshpooh I’m not sure if you meant the original commenter but mine is simple in terms of steps. I shampoo and condition followed by a henna gloss (henna that has soaked in aloe Vera juice for 4hrs and then mixed in my deep conditioner) and I sit under the steamer for 45min. I do chunky two strand twist and seal with oil that I “made”.

I usually pre-poo with coconut oil and detangle a few days before I wash my hair. It tangles and gets matted easily. I have thick, long, low porosity hair. Wash day feels like it takes ALL day...lol. I take breaks, eat, etc. But seriously with no breaks I would probably say it takes about 4hrs to wash, deep condition, detangle again, moisturize, and style my hair. Sometimes I need a day 2! I love your videos because you always bring the facts!!!

Maybe you should pre poo the day 4b and put hair in braided ponytail, something you can quickly take out. Also. You want to put more coconut oil. Next day take it out the style and wash and put your deep conditioner in and do what you have to do around the house. I put a plastic bag on, heat up my hair and then put a hat on to contain the heat and iron clothes for work. Rinse out and put on my leave ins in sections while I'm sipping on wine and blasting my music. I definitely looked forward to hair day, mine is on Sundays. Once I saw the results, that was everything and made me keep going. Hope I was able to help.

Then next day wet it again if necessary ( rarely) then do cream, my diy growth oil, and a hair butter.

If I do what I’m supposed to it’s around 2 hours, but can take up to 4 hours if I’m overhauling it😀 It’s not the time itself that I dread, it’s trying to get it done while trying to prevent the kids from fighting and breaking stuff 😅

Great video!!!! My wash day use to be hours but now i have managed to reduce it to 2 hrs. I pre poo, shampoo, deep comdition.and moisturise. Thank God i have managed to reduce my time because i was getting frustrated. The longer my hair gets it is becoming difficult to detangle so I made changes. I stick to a 10 day regimen anytime beyond that my hair tangles excessively. Second I incorporated the pre poo phase which is a lifesaver and thirdly. I stick to styles that would not tangle my hair excessively.

I absolutely dread my wash days, the washing and conditioning is usually 2+ hours but then there's 2+ hours of stylinh. I have long, fine, very high density hair and it tangles so easily, especially on wash day. Pre-poos help a little with the tangling but they take so long to apply to my dry tangled hair. I'd rather go straight to the shampoo. I used to like doing my hair but it takes so long that I've been wearing protective styles just to avoid touching it.

My wash day takes 2 days. I prepoo my hair which stays in overnight. Next day I wash my hair 2x---first with a clarifying shampoo and then I wash again with a moisturizing shampoo. Then I deep condition under my heated cap for an hour. I rinse my hair thoroughly with warm water and I apply my leave and oil on my damp hair. Then I put on my moisturizing hair gel cream to twist my hair and I'm done. It's a long process but, I look forward to it every week because this regimen has truly grown my hair and I'm going to continue so I can attain shoulder length hair. Thanks for your great hair tips!

Looking forward to the high porosity video (and the low porosity but I’m high lol) my wash day in the full set takes about 5-6hrs but I’ve been doing shortcuts (shampooing then putting in my leave in and twisting my hair super fast without detangling odee then sitting under the dryer for a quick deep condition then I’m done lol). I know it sounds so bad and lazy but the shortcut is literally 1.5-2hrs and it’s much less stressful for me dealing with 4c high porosity hair that tangles every second😰😰😂😂 love your videos❤️❤️❤️ always

Yes please do a video on decreasing the time of wash day. The longest process is detangling. Yes I prepoo, yes I detangle before washing, yes i wash in twist, yes I deep condition and then use a high-slip conditioner to detangle. I don't what else I can do. When my friends visit me on wash day, even they get exacerbated how long it takes!

I think finding ways to avoid the tangles will be the best solution if you’re doing everything else right. Avoiding product buildup, checking for split ends, sleeping with a silk pillow, avoid over manipulating the strands, keeping your hair tied up, avoid less than ideal weather. It’s gonna be difficult to do all that all the time though.

It takes me 1.5 to 2 hours, depends on whether or not I deep condition. Now an then I do a rinse out conditioner. The only time I’m excited about wash day is when I have new products. I always want to try and relax and enjoy the me time but I always get interrupted so I have to try and sneak it in when no one else needs anything, a rare occasion. It is what it is.

So glad I found you!! I’m binge watching with my notepad! Would love a video on keeping your hair healthy when it’s braided. Can’t really get to your own hair because of the extensions so do you just focus on a healthy scalp? Do you wet the scalp & apply grease? I would think you wouldn’t want to wet the hair since you can’t apply the prepoo due to the extensions? So many questions. Love love love you and the info you’re providing!!

I think it really depends on what you’re trying to achieve for the scalp while the hair is braided.

My wash day takes me about 2 hours. This includes a prepoo and a light protein like aphogee 2-min reconstructor. Would you be willing to do a video on moisturizing/sealing with your own hair? 🙂. I find that my hair has a frizzy look for the most part (I have fine hair). Does moisturizers help with this too?

Thanks 😊for the wonderful video as always! 🥰 My wash day usually begins the evening before with my pre-poo treatment that I leave in overnight!! Chebe Pre-poo is the BOMB 💣😍!! Then the next morning, it usually takes me an hour or so, depending on how long I leave in the deep conditioner. I always use the steamer for about 30 minuts. But, Sometimes i may leave the conditioner in up to half the day. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I may get busy and forget it. 😅 But it always comes out great.
Q: I have low porosity hair that I'm trying to regrow after my breast cancer 🎀 treatments. I'm in my early 50's and it's started coming back feeling totally different than it did before I had Cancer! Any pointers on how 🤔 I can get this regrowth going? It had a wider, looser curl pattern before and now it's tight curls and coarser hair🤔😳🤷🏽‍♀️ Not sure what's going on. Can you help me out here? Thanks 😊🙏

I have two girls with heads full of lovely natural hair. We have mixed feelings about wash day bcse it always takes at least an hour each (depending on whether we're cowashing a protected style or shampooing, etc.). Hwvr, they love the results so they tolerate it. All of this while trying to teach them to do it themselves! Btw, I cut my loose natural hair down to a twa years ago to have time to do theirs!

I have a hair salon and also work as a PR consultant so my wash days are always alongside some form of work lol. But I love my wash days, I love taking care of my hair and I always look forward to them no matter what.

Hey Beautiful I’m a recent subscriber and binged quite a few videos. This one was the best so far. I dread wash Day. It literally takes me until way after midnight to complete my routine. I don’t have a hair dryer so I keep my deep conditioner in for an hour ( bag & towel); then I detangle, all twenty sections(yep); then I rinse; this is the big part retwist😖😔🤦🏾‍♀️🥰 I ended up not shampooing my hair for another 3-4 months 🤦🏾‍♀️🎭

I hate wash days. I’m pre-pooing my hair right now while cleaning my bathrooms. I don’t know if I have low or high porosity hair. I moisturized my hair 2x this week with aloe vera juice and sealed with a shea butter mixture and today taking down my twist my hair was totally dry. I tried grease also still dry. But finding your channel is a blessing for since pre-pooing my hair I see less hair in the shower.

I love my wash day, yes it’s long but if I don’t take the proper time & do it correctly I’ve end result won’t be as satisfying. Thanks to you coconut oil is my pre poo & it’s easier, I no longer buy a separate leave in conditioner so I cut out a lot of time & money on wash day.

My wash day is extensive. I commonly start off with an onion juice treatment for 2-8 hours. Then a bentonite/rhassoul clay wash (up to 1hr to apply and rinse out after 15min- but I will improve this soon. Deep conditioning mask with avocado banana n honey for up to 30 minutes under a bonnet dryer. Rinse then apply leave-in and style. Lastly, I may apply sea moss gel for curl definition. I told you, extensive
