I completed my profile on Rev.com transcription services to take the first step toward making money online and from home.
I attempted to sign up for Rev which is a website to make money from home by transcribing videos and audio files online. On this site you can sign up to be a transcriptionist or a captioner.
I Tried the Rev.com website in 2023 to see how much I could make online per hour. Use this video as a Rev Tutorial . We go over the full Rev Transcription Test Application Process. Here are the results!
In this video I filled out my basic information, took a short grammar quiz on word choice and then sentence structure. After that I watched a video to learn more about captioning. Then from the style guide I learned about speaker labeling, atmospherics, and accuracy. I learned how to use their system Dash and then captioned a test video. Then I submitted my Rev application and confirmed that they sent me a follow-up email. I will go through step-by-step and to show you if it is a legit way of making money or not. I am not affiliated with this site and they did not sponsor this video. I shared my honest insights in this video.

Unfortunately, I was not approved. But they emailed me telling me that the same day.
