something I noticed after rewatching the series is that after Walter stops cooking and right around the time Hank finds out, both him and Skylar are wearing light beige colors - which made me think back to when they went to Elliot’s party, and Skylar made a comment about how everyone was wearing that color. Hank mishandled this situation so badly. He wasn't a DEA agent here, he was going rogue without the brass knowing about this. He should have placated Walt, played to his ego, submit and surrender. 1:37 "Jesus, Hank", now he knows what Marie feels like when he says that to her .
The beauty of this scene is that while Walt's obsession with building an empire and living up to his potential is done, Hank's begins. Here, in this particular moment, Walt is right. Everything he did is behind him. But Jr would face the repercussions of everything Hank wants to do to Walt. If Walt gets arrested etc, Jr's life would be practically destroyed. Walt's point here is that let's not do more damage to people that can be avoided, and he genuinely means it too. But Hank is furious with Walt, and the sheer betrayal - to enter the drug business while Hank was a DEA, that must burn Hank from the inside. He wants Walt to face repercussions for what he's done. And Walt, by this point, is concerned about maintaining everyone's image (including Hank's). The problem is tricky to solve, and neither solution works perfectly. That's beautiful, beautiful story-writing.
Nope, Walt isnt right. There's nothing right about wanting "to live in peace like nothing happened" after all the shit he's done and continue lying to his son.
tan116A walt Has done way way too many bad things to just let it go. It’s not that Walt only was cooking meth, he destroyed so many people lives directly and indirectly
@@vasvas8914 Hank could make Walt pay out of the public eye. That would not affect Jr's future. Else, he'd carry the weight of being a druglord's son. All Walt has already done is not changing. But Jr's life doesn't need to be made difficult. He's already paraplegic, and if his dad is outed as a druglord, things will only get worse for him. So yes, while Walt has done things that cannot be forgiven, Jr should not face punishment just because he got caught in the crossfire.

Are you kidding? Hank wants to bring justice. This isn't about ego or obsession. You're just trying to equalize both sides in some middle ground approach. The truth is you only say this out of sympathy to Walt. Sympathy you feel only because you've seen the whole story from his eyes from the start. Of course you want to think Hank is some grey character instead of someone just true to his values. Walt is using excuses to avoid paying the consequences for his actions. He's not the victim here.

Marie definitely is not dumb. Ironically, she was also the most empathetic and told Skylar to stop smothering Walt and to let him choose how he wants to approach his cancer. After all of this...
They didn't bring Junior some breakfast.
He could of lied about how he was trying to save hank by making meth for people that want to kill hank since he is a DEA agent. And Walt could have done a service to them to compensate for hanks life
Good solution, but remember that Hank pretty much already suspected that it was Walt who was Heisenberg and was INCREDIBLY furious with him. If he used that lie, I think Hank would not have believed him and gotten even more angrier at Walt.
It's amazing how the show made us --or at least made me-- dislike Skylar and Hank and have sympathy for a murderer like Walt. I had to watch the show twice to dislike Walt.

Yes.. thanks 👍
Im about to ruin walts image in one take. Everything about his character and the facial hair always reminded me of the btk killer dennis rader.
Hank perfectly epitomises the 😡 emoji
So this is what white people talk about at Mexican restaurants
Nope we sneak in black people too. 🤦
Skyler and Walt are so infuriating here lol. With their nice collared shirts trying to look as innocent as possible. Acting like everything Walt did was fine because “it’s over.” If someone hurt Walt Jr, they wouldn’t have that attitude
I wish we couldve seen more of this dynamic between hank and walt. Becoming heisenberg had less to do with cancer and more to do with the fact that hank emasculated him on his 50th birthday. It didn't make sense to me that walt didn't take up saul's "trip to belize" offer.
Hank still was family even if annoying family for walter
Hank ‘emasculated’ his own colleagues in the exact same way, as it’s more about ribbing banter than disrespect. His own students did it more than Hank ever did. Heisenberg has more to do with his bitterness and sense of failure after throwing away Grey Matter solutions for his own insecurity around Gretchins family, then giving up on achieving anything after he realised his own mistake. He was always egotistical and had a chip on his shoulder, but cancer was the motivator as he realised he had nothing to lose and he let go of his fear and rage.
Walt was always a bit envious of Hank but he never hated him, we all have friends we might sometimes have issues with but we still consider them friends, no one is perfect.
@o m It's not fat, it's muscle
Very nice of Walt to make Hank a mixed cd of all the music they enjoyed together as Walt drove Hank around looking for this Heisenberg fella.
lmao
Skyler was serving in that turtleneck though
All because Walter called them rocks instead of minerals…
Funny thing , he did walk away and died on his terms
He walked away because something happened that wasn't on his terms (Hank's death), and died because in the end he couldn't walk away from his crimes and had to settle things violently, killing him in the process. So I'd say you're wrong on both counts

@@lynxfl Leave plot analysis to adults, kiddo.
Bruh why tf was skylar defending walt here
Because she laundered his money
And because she was so loyal to him

2:26 Walt giving Hank his copy of Morbius 🫡
this is when marie truly became lowtiergod
Technically Walt fulfilled her wish, he did kill himself... By accident, with his own stray bullet
He was dying already who cares
I think his plan in felina was to kill himself anyway tbf. And that was pretty much after he had done irreversible damage to the family anyway.
I like how both Hank and Gus don't let their nemesis die without their permission.
The acting in this scene man. You really believe theyve been a family of 15+ years and are now devastated of the news
Marie deserved to lose Hank after wishing death on Walt.
Why?
You don't wish death on someone.
