Thank you. I recently read a book about Curiosity Rover. But, I did not understand well that mechanism becasue there was no video. Your video give clear and breif instruction about it. Finally, I can understand what is Rocker-Bogie.
Nice project. I think increasing weight on bogie will help tires to grip more strongly. Why everyone is asking for plans and details? Most of these looks like studying in technical schools. So they should come with their own design.
The price and weight depends on the size and material used, I can give you a few hints up here: - you can use LEGO, should cost you around $400 and the whole thing might weigh 2 kilograms. - you can use Arduino or Raspberry Pi and carve the parts out of metal or cardboard, should cost you around $150 - $200 in total and should weigh less than a kilogram. But you got be good at circuitry and coding. I made one recently, if you would like to check it out, here it is - ruclips.net/video/cV2kVrBAYmI/видео.html
That's what happens when people stop innovating and just stick to blind copying. Kudos to the guys who made it work with real thought and effort put into it.
Dude.. ok m working on similar kind of mechanism. Can u plz share the cad models and other data as the link u have provided there isn't working.. Thank u
1.Can please say how did u do that analysis. 2.can you help us how did you attain the wheel dia, rocker length, bogie length, width of the vehicle, etc
+Pranav Bende , The Motion Simulation was done in solidworks. I'm not pretty sure about Inventor, but if you are able to get your file opened in Solidworks, it can be simulated easily.

Hey Aditya, can you tell me how did you simulate the friction and contact in solidworks? I'm doing a course on rover design in my masters. So need your help, thanks!
The DC motors run forward and reverse. The three motors are coupled together for each of it's sides. So two controls for either side of the vehicle. Switch one forward and the other reverse, it'll steer accordingly at the spot itself.
Hi bro. Very cool project. In fact we are doing a similar kind of project but not rocker bogie suspension . We are using double lambda suspension . We are using Catia as building software. We are facing problems in analysis of suspension on different terrains. You have done that simulation . Which software you used? Hope you give me a reply.....
I experimented with this suspension setup in Space Engineers. Since there is only one pivot point to the main body of the vehicle, any weight distribution issues meant that one end just hits the ground. Not ideal.
Of couse it is! Imagine your bike having pivots but no suspension springs! For the curiosity it is the same. The differential gearbox acts as a suspension spring for it that pulls its legs back and forth! Hope you are clear!

Man you have to teach me video editing like this back in college!
This is too good!!
its really good to see Indians getting involved in research and new technology..good work..!

Mr. Aditya..this project has inspired me a lot ...can you send the design so I can make a RC version of it
Very well done mate
So what do you do if you get stuck in the sand???
I designed the same idea back in 1985 for a railroad car. the same weight equalization on all wheels.
Good work 👍 guys but will this work on a continuous staircase....
Very nice demonstration. Thank-you
try integrating suction cup mechanisms for vertical climb.
Thank you for the mechanism
Had youtube on 2x. That song is sick at 2x.
Better at 1x
It looks a bit like too much lead/ not enough tin in that solder at the end of that last solder connection !
Agreed
Impressive work.... Impressive performances... Congrat' !...
Can you give the details of construction. We are looking on this for our project.
Motor cost and weight of the Rover with total motor and all parts

What is the material of Rocker and Bogie
Awesome! Should get more upvotes.
hello can you tell if it can climb continuous staircases ? thankyou.
Why is everyone giving their email?
To recreate this for their projects, generally!
That's what happens when people stop innovating and just stick to blind copying. Kudos to the guys who made it work with real thought and effort put into it.
Blind copying is 90% of history. You copy the base, improve upon it, then share it to be copied and improved upon. Thats progress
@@williammitchell2046 That's not blind copying. That's improving. Blind copying is when you don't do shit to the design.
They are after some sort of prize money, lol

Thank u
If im not mistaken the wehrmacht had a similar type of suspension on their panzer iiis and ivs
you can add more friction tiers
Music: The Glitch Mob: Fortune Days
its not a good song
thank
hmmm, reminds me of 2013
1.Can please say how did u do that analysis.
2.can you help us how did you attain the wheel dia, rocker length, bogie length, width of the vehicle, etc
how would one mount a cabin for a vehical
I'm sorry bro can you open the google drive access cause i cant open it (i mean only if its okay), its for personal preferences for personal project
hey aditya can u help us to know the dimensions of the robo and motor specifications please
But i think it won't work for car ones
Do you happen to know if anybody made bicycles with this kind of suspension ?
Probably not, but a lot of World War 2 era tanks utilized this suspension
Can I have details of it
Im not able to do analysis in solid works ie motion study can i get help
Bro can u give this dimensions??
I remember this song from an episode of person of interest
Ha ha ha, is that what u got from this video
यह किस काम मे use किया जाता है कोई btaega
Can u modify it so it fits on a tank?
Hey aditya, great work!! I have made the rover in Inventor. I want to know how did you simulate the motion on terrain?

Which software for Analysis??? Plz answer
hey aditya can u please send the details of these project
This is super.. Sir please send me the dimensions you used ...
nice project...
can u tell me which software program u use to make the model....? i need ur help
SUMIT KUMAR BISWAS Solidworks
Those are some shoddy solder joints.
it can step up but can it step down?????
Put a 800 lb comercial water heater on it
Nest it low and then widen the wheel base so that the largest expected obstacle climb grade isn't beyond the tipping grade
hey man great work ....can you plz help by sending the project report to me tell the budget of this project, Thank you in advance
molto interessante per varie applicazioni
This reminds me of the Mars rover look very similar
Butter this is the core mechanism used in Mars Rover. Just that this is the most basic one possible! 😅
As I see I wonder what will happen if you tryed doing this on a nitro rc car
How do you steer...
The DC motors run forward and reverse. The three motors are coupled together for each of it's sides. So two controls for either side of the vehicle. Switch one forward and the other reverse, it'll steer accordingly at the spot itself.
And those are electric motors that you can control the speed right?(Curious)
No. They're just normal DC on/off 60rpm motors. They can be replaced with controllable ones.
very nice my friend
good,
you are advertising for Coca Cola at the same time as well
nice
can u please send ur design report????
It's a prototype ok ,in real model where u build passenger cabinet ?
great work guys
Which software did u use for the analysis n animation?
Solid Works.

Hey guys, Which software did you use for Simulation?
I experimented with this suspension setup in Space Engineers. Since there is only one pivot point to the main body of the vehicle, any weight distribution issues meant that one end just hits the ground. Not ideal.
The body isn't free to rotate. There is an averaging mechanism so the body maintains the average angle of the two rockers
can i know the size of the wheels that you have used?
What is the sw to analize you used?
Frame kaise banaye
which type of motor you used
How did you simulate the movement of the project on solidworks?
Hi I want this catalog project for
Great work :p
Would love to know what you used for the analysis part, was it solidworks aswell?
Yes..everything is done purely in solidworks only!
@@AdityaRMohan hello can you please help me with which joint is used for sliding the rocker and bogie joint?
Nice work
can you send me all dimension pics...
solidworks file please
Hi bro this good idea may I join with you.
I like the music.
Which software did u use fir analysis ?
Which software you use
the music sounds like its suffering from microstuttering
What can I use for the body instead of the things used by you?
what is the name of the software we use to animate the motion of the Rocker
Hi!
Congratulations on this project!
What engine and wheel did you use?
Can you tell me the bill of materials?
nice design
Hey ! Can I have the reference of your wheels/tires, ESC and your motors Please.
great work bro i want to do this myself plz email the details of ur project

Aditya R Mohan Thank you very much fr the info 👌👌👌
magnetic levitation suspension.
im following your type of way, im making a rover, hope it works
Same
Weldon, bro... keep going.
buddy tell me one thing... Is differential gearbox necessary component in rocker bogie suspension?
Don't think so, but don't take my word for it, I may be wrong.
if you want a center section that stays at the average of the arms, yes.
Of couse it is! Imagine your bike having pivots but no suspension springs! For the curiosity it is the same. The differential gearbox acts as a suspension spring for it that pulls its legs back and forth! Hope you are clear!
nice job folks
Already patented. check out Elphinstone Tri-beam trailer suspension.
Quick, somebody add "Moon Patrol" music!
Why is this not an offroad vehicle already
Sick. super sick!!!!!!!
Why not 8 wheels?
Your rover run forward just nice, but backward - isn't so good. 8 wheels and symmetric chassis should solve this issue.
Ideally it should. But adding two more wheels to make it a double rocker bogie mechanism will make it more unstable.
@@AdityaRMohan can you please tell the motor, battery details and how much is its weight
