If you have a V8 it’s absolutely criminal to not have it growl. Let’s face it that’s why you buy one. It’s one of the most guttural and pleasing sounds in motoring and I highly approve!
Completely agree, on fact it was always something that sent my dad furious when just as the exhaust note was coming on top gear some idiot would speak or put music over it
I have a quick silver on my Maserati 4200 . I live In Marbella where it's full of exsotic car's, the sound of my cambiocorsa Maserati with this exhaust is unreal, i had a tubi on my 328 and 355 Ferrari, but nothing compares to the quality of the quick silver soul and sound it gives on the Maserati. It's a real quality sound, very traditional
Your reaction to the soundtrack encapsulates exactly how I feel about my C63! I love how you do slow build ups with the revs too, it lets you appreciate the beautiful symphony for much, much longer! I need my ears to hear this in person! 😉
Not sure if you’ve caught the latest episode of Richard Hammond’s Worksop on Discovery+ but they had a Maserati in with sticky buttons/ interior plastics. They solved by cleaning the plastics with ‘elbow grease’ spray and a rag 👍🏻
Still one of the most beautiful designs to be penned in the last 20 years. Sadly ruined by privacy glass in this example, but great to see people like Joel showing what these cars are all about. Subscribed, great content.
I own a Maserati and mines diesel and sounds pretty good but nothing like this. Sounds awesome and one of the best sounding engines out there and a reasonable price. As long as it stays trouble free 🙏
I'm presuming that the new exhaust complies with UK / EU noise levels. Some people seem to think that they can have as loud an exhaust as possible which can be very annoying.
Haha it puts me a smile on my face seeing you this happy! Absolutely smashed it as usual, lovely video, lovely car, lovely exhaust 😂. Enjoooooy mate 🎉🎉
It’s a sporty car for sure but still some sort of GT cruiser rather than a true sports car. In my opinion such a car shouldn’t have such a loud exhaust. And wonder if you will be as enthusiastic after a 2 week journey across europe…. But for playing around enoying your neighbors it will for sure do the trick 😊 I would have kept the £3000 that I think I heard you say the price was. But might well be mistaken. On the other hand, if you are happy 👍🏻👍🏻
My elderly nextdoor neighbor always complains that my Maserati is noisy when I leave for work at 5am. He doesn't know it yet but this afternoon I just picked up my newly fitted exhaust. Just wait when he hears the car when I start it 5am tomorrow morning 😂😂😂
Those rear silencers do sound good, and they look well made, but they're not exactly cheap at £2300. Did you consider changing the middle resonator box for an X-pipe?
Joel, serious question. Is this classed as a mod, or a like for like replacement as far as insurance goes? Always wondered what the rules are with something like this.
Interesting in deed, you know that engine have serious issue and you keep on driving it like all is normal.. You are making videos of detailing and exhaust and when engine blew up one day it will be OMG!! My Masserati engine blew up!! What happened??
The standard quattroporte GranTursimo exhaust has valves in it that are spring loaded. They are a pain as they start to rattle and only open above 4000 revs - I know this as I rigged levers to them and filmed the valves opening. Below 4000 it is very restricted. There is some video of the valves working in here: ruclips.net/video/kyVueVpf-00/видео.html You can do a cheap job and cut the boxes open and remove the valves which is what I am about to do. The original boxes are stainless and pretty easy to weld with 308l wire. I would buy new boxes, but I do not have £2k to spend!
"slow build" and "not a straight pipe". Lol I love this car but miss the original Joel who inspired me to straight pipe it all off, stamp on it, and live for the moment. Everyone seems to Envy my 5ltr CL500 with it's straight pipes, because they wouldn't have the balls to do it themselves 😂 Love this motor, but Joel where's the your old caution to the wind attitude gone 🤣🙏 cmon bro be the rebel.
@@brianmonkey1697 don’t be so over dramatic you big girls blouse 😂 The car is not straight piped, a maserati V8 has some level of noise to it as std, the rear silencers are still in place. Summary: you’re a wet lettuce who doesn’t like the sound of a Ferrari V8
Great to see new QP5 content. Why not refer to the engine “Ferrari built” rather than “-derived”? It’s built in Maranello I got my 4.2 QP around same time as yours, and have also been looking for exhaust upgrade options. Looking forward to following the next steps in your QP’s journey.
What do you think? 😁
It sounds amazing, I love it!
Dam! Who needs to hear music when that V8 is growling away!!!!!!
That's amazing
It sounds awesome
I love it. I'll try to buy one as soon as possible.
That exhaust expert is a real natural in front of the camera. Very knowledgeable and passionate about his trade
Ollie is brilliant, a real pro!

The 4.2 V8 deserves this exhaust! Great purchase Joel, really brings the car to life! 😄

Those facial expressions and when you lose the inability to speak says so much. Really enjoyed this video. Sounds amazing.
Thank you! 😃
Mate that sounds great. The engine deserves to be heard when it sounds that good 👌
Sounds incredible! Was fortunate enough to hear it in person when you drove through town, definitely an improvement!
Need to show you properly!
Yes!
Exhaust is incredible! I also really love the retro intro music on the videos lately 😎

Thanks for tuning in
Your videos are making me want a Quattroporte more and more and more 😍😍😍
Great job Joel, sounds amazing!
It’s got a lovely warm sound to it. What a lovely car
Age-ist!! I’m nearly 67 and still love to hear my 911 song! 😄
Your V8 sounded fantastic 👍
Thank you so much, and of course I meant no offence by my comment!
No worries! The sound of a powerful engine on full song never grows old…. Unfortunately the drivers do!😄

Nice - fancy putting it next to my Rapide S for a 4-door supercar comparison?
This needs to happen.
Great idea!
Sounds amazing I did a back box delete on my v8 s5 and my face was much like yours 😊😊😊 every time I drive it
If ever a car was worth saving and investing in , it’s the Massa Quad !
I believe it’s going be a future rare classic .
Valve control would have been a good option.

It’s hard to tell from this video whether it will quieter down on a long cruise or not. Sounds great when stepping on it though.
Second this.
Sounds fantastic. I’d like something like this for my Jaguar XK. Will contact them…
9:56, that's just perfect. Enjoying a Ferrari engine in a normal car is the best of both worlds.
Joel that sounds awesome. Maserati have always been my favourite brand and I hope to own one one day. Love yours mate. Looks and sounds fab
Well cool! I definitely want one 😊

Got to be the best sounding car for the money, although you've not said what the new exhaust cost.
I’ve left a link to the exhaust in the description
It sounds brilliant. 👍👍👍👍
That V8 noise is another reason for me to hate my iX3 even more😂😂😂Great stuff Joel.👍
Get and X-Pipe as well and it will be wowzer
Best mod to a car by far, i want to do the same for my Lexus IS 250
OMG - that sounds amazing 👌
Amazing Watch Again Joel! I want one!
Bloody love it.
Beautiful sounding v8 ,is it a flat plane or cross plane crank?
Sounds awesome 😎😊
Outro music is awesome 🙌🏾
Sadly these noises will be soon forgotten, nice car to enjoy, not far 100k now are we 🎉

Would love to see how you fix the sticky buttons that were shown in the last

Yes it’s a modification and so you should always declare it with your insurer
Hi Joel, what happened with the engine having a problem, did you it sorted?
The cam variator issue is still there, however I’m still waiting to hear back from the warranty company on whether they will cover the repairs
@@itsjoelsome people get away with adding an ‘oil accumulator’ that can fix the issue without needing to strip part of the engine, have a look into it

what is the cost for this ?
How much is the exhaust?
Why would "people thats older, lets say" not like a sportier exhaust system?

Would hate it.
Sad thing is, what happens to all these exhaust companies that make these great exhausts. When cars are becoming more electric/hybrid etc. Sad times 😢
Love the maser, it would be great if you did some of the work yourself rather than use sponsors all the time, would make it far more engaging.
I can’t manufacture my own exhaust 😂
Shouldn't it be mentioned if sponsored? Personally not impressed with trumpet noise...
