I don’t care what issues that car has. It’s stunning. The design, engine, quality, the sound … all for very little money. I bet it feels special to drive. I take my hat off to Joel for having the balls to go for it. Lots of scare mongering in the car world.
Wow. That car has come up Beautifully. Those wheels look fantastic against the dark paint... As someone else has commented here - it may have issues but it looks and sounds a million dollars. Great content Joel, and good job iValet.
Keep these QP5 videos coming 🤩 I just purchased my ‘09 QP this month, and looking forward to my ownership journey alongside yours. ciao from California 🏖️

Once again a great video. I have used GTECHNIQ C4 permanent trim restorer and I am very impressed with this product. While being very expensive it has lasted 2 years on the the plastic vent area at the base of the windshield and still looks like new. That is including 2 Canadian winters. Looking forward to the the next episode👍
Hey good day from NSW yet another really entertaining video ...I think you success is that you nearly always seem to find and buy just the same cars I myself would love to end up with, nothing brand new or run by a computer on electric batteries and always something priced accordingly that it isn't out of reach of the general population. I also see your about to hit 100k subscribers so numbers agree too. 👍
The maserati is looking incredible Joel! Such an elegant beauty. I hope your enjoying it as much as possible! If it breaks... So what... Fix it... When you buy something as special as that for peanuts you've got to anticipate it breaking at some point... Its well worth looking after that car. P.s. the sticky door master swtich buttons would irritate my ocd though 😂
That's not a grands worth they didn't even take the wheels off did they????!!! Joel come on mate. Never the less the mazzer is a thing of beauty. Great buy!!
Crazy Joel. Finally came back on finish video and can confirm. The QP looks a million dollars across the camera. Had a couple of these. Both turds compared condition on this one
No room in prison. But yes I agree. He should just foot the bill. I've got a basement with a locked door if you wanna send him my way. He'll only get bread and water though.
What a beauty. I’d love an older Maserati but I’ve always been put off by the fuel consumption which appears much higher than 4.2 and 5.0 jags I’ve owned and put up with. I wonder if that’s the reality and how it compares to the old S Type. So tempting.
In relation to the sticky buttons, Mike brewer had a Maserati on an episode of wheeler dealers and he got them done by a guy who reconditioned them. Can’t remember what episode it was tho but worth a google
That looks amazing. The paint is popping. I use various lotions and potions in my car cleaning routine but I have never spent £50-60 on a wax or coating. Is it worth the premium?
@@Camrocok think of Gtechniq ceramics as an investment in time. Once you’ve got your paint to where you want it to be, to keep it there, really you’ll only need to wash the car in future for at least 18 months and it’ll be very easy when you do 🤝
@@ivaletuk I have a garage full of lotions and potions but never spent that much. My limit is probably the £20 on a Meguiars spray on ceramic I use to help dry off the cars
I would say buying a cheap, unseen Maserati is ‘risky’ but then giving someone £1,000 to wash it is something else altogether. I should imagine that money might be better spent on it elsewhere, but hey, it’s nice and shiny now.
Foam thickness has a lot to do with water hardness, soft water means more foam, hard water less foam assuming u use same amout of product. Too much snowfoam will strip protection
Snow foam will not strip actual paint protection as that's what it is designed to do, protect the paintwork from chemicals. What you're referring to might be waxes and spray sealants, these don't actually offer any protection apart from hydrophobic behaviour and is a miss conception within the detailing world.
@@avdavd4729 agreed, snowfoam strips waxed and spray protection. Thankfully these are super easy to re apply. Ceramic coating lasts max 12mths in a normal weekly wash and daily car use environment. Sad that all these companies claim massive longevity, I have had a few, great for show cars to avoid swirls, not worth hassle for a daily when u can spray and wipe a sealant.
I enjoy your posts - mostly for the courage you show in buying these cars that could turn into ruinous moneypits. Even though i could probably afford to buy and pay to fix it i just dont have it in me to take the risk. However... 1k for a detail! Is this a covertly sponsored video? That much on a car old and of that value? What it has shown me is they're not a company I would consider. I had an in-and-out detail on an XC90 prior to selling. Cost £450. They didnt do nano coating but did get a company to refurb the 4 wheels. I do think you got done on this.
Did you watch the video? The rear of the side skirt and around the lower rear arch was like someone took a shotgun at it. I’d have thought they would have put some chipex on the chips to at least mask them… we are talking a grand detail here!! A grand!!

Nobody buys a Maserati for £6k and expects no issues. The dealer probably thought common sense would prevail.
And what about the general public who pass on their undisclosed faulty vehicles onto unsuspecting traders! Should they also go to prison?
