OMG OMG your tutorial was one of the top two on RUclips that I actually learned to corn row braid my hair from!! I felt so ugly after chopping off my transitioned ends and I couldn't figure out a protective style I liked so I kept trying to learn to braid. Only this video made me understand because of the way you described which hand pulls the more hair into the braid and which does what. Thank you SO much! I love your music as well!

You guys I started my cornrows before I got in the shower and finished 2 hours after I got out and watched some Netflix 😂. I just finished and came back to this video AND mine aren't as clean as this but my BRAIDS are pinned down and that's good enough for me 😂😂🤷🏽♀️💜
When I was learning to corn roll the learning curve for me was understanding that it is like doing a regular box braid but crossing the strands under from left to right rather than over the top of the braid. I have mixed-race children so learning to corn roll was definitely a game-changer for me in learning how to manage my children's hair. I was adopted by a black family and I was paranoid because my sisters would always joke around and say they could tell when somebody had a white mom because their hair always looked busted! LOL....so I was proactive to make sure my kid's hair was always on point and done right...with no money to pay someone, I had to learn. I wish they would have had youtube back then! Your tutorial would have helped me so much!
Now all I have to say is WOW. I know this was posted over 3 years ago, but when I searched up how to cornrow my own hair, this is the first video that popped up. So when I watched it, fortunately, I was able to get it after 4 tries. I'm so happy I found this video, I can finally cornrow my hair instead of my mom. All I need to do is become a pro!!!
