You wanna watch that bass habit Lee. Sure you start out, you think you can handle it. It’s just a bit of fun, a diversion from guitar but then you start to use proper finger technique (yeah, I saw that), then you’ve bought a lifetime subscription to Scott’s Bass Lessons and a Fender Rumble which soon becomes a full fat 900w amp and 212. Before long you’re saying things like “sure, I play guitar but I’m mostly a bass player”. It’s a dangerous road to travel Lee, a dangerous road indeed.
It's all true man. I've played guitar for 10 years. I've played bass on stage in a band instead and got so much gear for it. I don't even want to play bass! 😭😂

It takes pedals extremely well. It SERIOUSLY loves the Tone City Durple BTW, sounds KILLER agains the "MS BRIT" setting. Great video!
I pre-ordered one from DSM&H before Xmas, after seeing a couple of RUclips demos. It’s now the heart of my lockdown rig. There isn’t a bad sound in it.

Great video, but to my ears you've got the spread settings back to front - sounds like it was already on for the entire opening of the video as you can clearly hear the signal become more mono and lose the tell-tale stereo phasing width once Pete first flips the switch at 14:31. Amazing product though!

GREAT VIDEO! By far the best demo I have heard of the DSM Simplifier. I have one on order and can't wait to try vs. my Strymon Iridium (which I love). After all of this time and testing I agree with the Captain about that ever so slight "disconnect" with digital - TRUE!
That intro was awesome. Pete's playing was as Tasty as ever. Nice bass playing too. Humboldt Simplifier had gorgeous guitar tones. I'd be curious to hear it vs. a Strymon Iridium or a Quilter or the Walrus unit?
