They also have similar amp types, and similar prices, not quite the same, but close enough to be 2 options in the same price range if you are looking for something like that. Hope that helps!
I have an Iridium but I haven't used it live yet. For open mics if I'm playing electric guitar I have used a Radial JDX Drive at the end of my pedal board and the Radial does sound really good over here in Liverpool. I would like to try one of these when they are back in stock over here.
I’ve spent the last few weeks researching amp sims; iridium, dream, ruby, walrus asc1, nux amp academy, tc, and the simplifier. Most comments on those videos are people wanting headphone access on the dream and also many requests for the plexi sound. Personally from what i am wanting and noticing is that this pedal does much more than the others. I know it’s personal preference but i respect this channel and with that being said i just placed an order. Thanks guys!
I just purchased one of these as it seems to fit my needs. I'm not a fan of gear I have to dive into with menus, modify, and use a computer to edit and upload amps, cabs, and other IR's. I play mainly at church for worship and we run a clean stage. I've been using a multi effect pedal for years (Boss ME70 and have reached it's limit) and have always plugged straight into front of house via a DI box. This will allow me to do that with a pedal board which I just started to build and assemble. Thanks for the great video.
This is my sentiments exactly.i don't want to be updating, patching, editing, and piddling with effects on a computer. I want a good clean sound at the tips of my fingers and this unit does just that. It's really good for recording direct into your interface as well.
Already bought the Simplifier and was looking to see how others used it. To me the star of this video was the Bloom. That compressor sag was incredible.
The reason for putting the fuzz first is that if it uses germanium diodes, it won’t play well with a buffer. Germanium diodes also provide a very glassy sound when the guitar volume is rolled back. Check out Pete Thorn’s video on the CTC Constellation fuzz. A silicon fuzz would probably sound better after a compressor or other pedal with some tweaks.

ive had a guitar feedback on me through headphones after putting just a ridiculous amount of gain on it, so its definitely not impossible. id imagine the guitar being hollow would make it more likely as well.
I'll throw my two cents in the Simplifier/Iridium A/B conversation. I get the comparisons to Stomp, Kemper, Axe, etc., but given that the Simplifier and the Iridium each "model" the same three amps in different ways, that would be the most apples-to-apples demo for people like myself looking to choose between the two for a simple amp sim without all of the other bells, whistles, and effects. For the record, I did watch your Iridium video and personally felt it sounded better, through small computer speakers anyway. But I don't think that's objective enough given that different guitars and effects were used. Thanks for all you guys do to help worship guitarists learn about new products and technology that could benefit us!
Maybe just a video without explanations or talking ( y’all do a great job at those ). But speaking as someone who has made many gear decisions based on RUclips sound clips alone, it is always valuable to find those videos that compare two pieces of gear that are similar, with back to back sound bytes without any taking in between. We need to hear dry and wet sounds because every good worship guitarist should know that amp and guitar is the basis of tone even though we may rarely use a predominantly dry sound.
Ok. So let’s say I have this thing at the end of my pedalboard. I can carry my little board around the house and plug in my power supply and sit and jam with headphones anywhere. If I want to record, I can go stereo xlr into my interface no problem. Let’s say I want to plug my pedalboard into my little Fender practice amp. Do I have to unplug from the simplifier and go into the amp or can I use the mono 1/4 out on the simplifier into an amp? If so, what functionality does the simplifier retain when going into an amp? Can you still sculpt the sound in any way or does it bypass the simplifier completely and still retain your signal from your pedals?

Hi, I own one of these units and I can say it happens if you put a too loud source through it. Then the od/fuzz is too loud into the simplifier. The simplifier can achieve awesome sounds, but you have to think about your levels a lot before a gig for example. Know how loud you can play into it. But you learn that quickly by using it into your daw at home. I really reccomend the unit. It sounds really good, I would be it again if I lost it/it broke.
Is it possible to bypass the preamp and just use the power amp and CAB simulations and if so how? Also what connections and switches do you have to throw to have the effects between the pre & power amps? Is it even possible to turn off the cap Sims and use your own CabSim Pedal without bypassing the power amp? I’ve asked the company and scrutinised the instruction pamphlet to know avail…🤷♂️
I would really love there to be a “how to“ with this thing because although it’s tiny it’s difficult to get my head around! I mean it seems to have two effects loops with no way of level mixing either of them into the signal (I’m assuming effects loop puts pedals between the PreAmp section the PowerAmp section?) Also how to bypass the PreAmp & just use the power amp and speaker effect..?
I have a spark boost pedal, should i put the boost after my overdrive before effects loop or after the effects loop before going back to this pedal? or after the whole DSM itself?
Have been considering purchase of this device but concerned about reviews saying its great with humbucker style pick ups but less so with single core pickups. Is that why the guy with the Tele on topic left isn't featured in the playing samples?

Is it possible to run stereo wet effect to the front of the SIMPLIFIER instead of in its effect loop as you've done in the video? Bigsky stereo out => Simplifier (input or return 1 and 2) => XLR out x 2
Raymond Erazo yes you can use with any limitations. Even you can use both stereo channels and if you don’t have two channels the TRS R output can SUM stereo to MONO.
Can I run signal from my actual tube combo amp from it's efx send (to get preamp and reverb) into the return of the Simplifier to use it's power amp and cab sim?
One thing I think I’ve picked up on that is another difference between this and the iridium is that there is no “amp drive” available here it’s strictly clean channel and all drive sounds have come from a drive pedal. Is that accurate?
No, the three amp models do have a little bit of gain dirt each. They all have a separate knob for volume and gain. The Marshall amp type can actually get quit dirty, the Fender voice is mostly clean though. Check out the videos on the DSM or Humboldt channels.
Adrian James ok good to know. All the demoes I’ve seen were either crystal clean or got the dirt from a separate pedal. Makes it hard to know what it can really do.
Wolf Guitars and Gear you can actually hear some of the Marshall dirt at about 21 minutes into the video. No dirt pedal, just a compressor before it. It does go heavier than that, especially if you push it. I tracked a song using only this and a boost in front and it sounds great
Yeah sure - you can just place the Simplifier in front of your wet effects just like any other pedal, or you can put the wet effects in the effects loop of the Simplifier, which is what we did in this demo.
@@worshiptutorials Great, thanks for the quick response! In the second option you give, the wet effects would still go through the cabsim right? Because I would love to have it after the cabsim.
Analog means the audio signal isn't sampled inside the box. The electrical voltage remains what it is, not converted into samples. There is amp and cab emulation happening using analog electronic components, that act on the voltage though!
Has Worship Tutorials ever done a review like this with the Two Notes Le Clean, Le Crunch? I’m curios of a preamp with an actual tube vs the analog tube modeling.
Seems like a perfect solution for ampless church stages where any of multiple guitarists can show up with any pedal board and go direct. Simple to use and has a effect send/return for 4 cable setups. I don’t think Iridium would let me do that. Am I thinking correctly about this?
Dpkreuser HX has an effects loop but I don’t think iridium does...the Simplifier is less $$. Seems this one is the best solution to have at church for any guitarist that shows up to be able to go direct regardless of pedal board setup and ability to program patches. The Simplifier truly is a pedal platform in a box. I’ll be getting one.
Don't GFI Make delay and a reverb ? Im lost on that usage of GFI Specular tempest(s)(i) unless the other are not stereo then I get it. Sounds immense Brad . Oh and is the Duelist a waste for me if I have like 10 TS clones ? would I use it .
Yep they make the Specular reverb and clockwork delay. I own both. Specular tempest has both of the pedals in one. Has midi and some other upgrades. But you can't use separately. You have to make patches with delay and verb together and separate. You can't just toggle them separately. That's why I got them separately because I'm always changing stuff
can we use this through a regular amp? like a Katana? which way to use that, I don't want to use it through my DAW speaker setting, I want to get way louder lol. anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I tracked a song using only this and a boost in front and it sounds great
Can you route it: Drives - Simplifier - Cabsim - Delays&Reverb - Stereo to FOH? Like the Kemper does?
Yeah sure - you can just place the Simplifier in front of your wet effects just like any other pedal, or you can put the wet effects in the effects loop of the Simplifier, which is what we did in this demo.
@@worshiptutorials Great, thanks for the quick response! In the second option you give, the wet effects would still go through the cabsim right? Because I would love to have it after the cabsim.
Analog means the audio signal isn't sampled inside the box. The electrical voltage remains what it is, not converted into samples. There is amp and cab emulation happening using analog electronic components, that act on the voltage though!
Since it is 0 watts you can also put it into the main input /effects loop of your amp. Am i correct?
Can you bypass internal IR and use Wall of Sound?
Can I ask, what do you notice in the sound when you switch from 1x12, 2x12, or 4x12?
Has Worship Tutorials ever done a review like this with the Two Notes Le Clean, Le Crunch? I’m curios of a preamp with an actual tube vs the analog tube modeling.
How about an A/B with the amp they’re modelling?
Great amp in a box type thing I got one too and really love it, great demo/review, cheers :)
Thank you for the great review! Do you have to use the wet effects in the fx loop in a "kill dry" mode? Thank you!
Can you run It as stereo amp with stereo effects?
Nice playing, nice tones : )
Please compare to iridium !!
Seems like a perfect solution for ampless church stages where any of multiple guitarists can show up with any pedal board and go direct. Simple to use and has a effect send/return for 4 cable setups. I don’t think Iridium would let me do that. Am I thinking correctly about this?
You could do that with an iridium or even an HX stomp.
How does this compare to the walrus acs1?
Wow this sounds amazing!
Great vid! Thanks!!👍🏼
Please do comparison !! :)
Seems like a next-gen SansAmp GT-2.
can i get a review on the T-Rex Acoustic Soul
can we use this through a regular amp? like a Katana? which way to use that, I don't want to use it through my DAW speaker setting, I want to get way louder lol. anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Love that guitar! For that exact set up, How much are they running for?
Our buddy who we borrowed it from said it would run about $2200 with a case. Trust me when I say - that’s an awesome deal.
You mentioned that its all analog but there is cab sim and mic sim.. How is it all analog?

Is there any way y’all can do the lead guitar for heaven by passion. I noticed that it wasn’t on the Chanel so I thought I would ask if y’all would do it
My favorite thing of the pedal: Headphone out
the red box from hughs and kettner is 0 watt, and sounds really good too

Try it against the Two Notes Captor X instead
