@@daviddixon7326 Hi, David! Thanks for your message, great question. The DSM Humboldt Electronics Simplifier mk2 can be used to create a W/D/W rig, however it requires other gear to complete. You could for example output a signal from the effects send of the DSM to your time domain effects and then a BOSS IR200 to use as your “wet” and then the DSM takes care of the dry. You could also create a split prior to the DSM and send another signal to a similar amp sim. Multiple variations on the theme depending on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.
Please contact us direct with other questions as you have them!

@@bgingras05 Hi, Brian. Yes, it can definitely be used with a fuzz pedal. At the end of the day, it’s a small solid state amp preamp so it’s not going to sound like Jimi’s Fuzzface into a cranked Marshall, but it does take all pedals (including fuzz) very well.
      Thanks for your interest!

I have a Simplifier MK1 DLX and it's funny because with all these new amp pedals coming out I'm watching the market a lot, but the DSM just sounds too good that there's no point changing it. True value for money. When the DLX MK2 comes out however I will make the change as it'll no doubt have similar longevity.

Hated the knobs which reflect lighting from above, making instant visual confirmation virtually impossible. And the tiny switches & their locations & hard to read tiny lettering: horrendous for me. I'll continue to keep up w/their stuff because it sounds so good, hoping they'll expand this into a pedal board size player friendly version. Used it in church applications.

    1. Can I bypass the unit entirely and use only my pedalboard effects into my amp when desired and if so, how?
    2. Can I use the only headphones I have - 64 Audio V3 in ear monitors - to appropriately hear, play and tweak the device to my liking, again using my pedals? I read that the headphones have impedance of 16 ohms, sensitivity of 119db, isolation -26db, frequency response 12-17khz if that matters or is helpful.

Hi, Michael! In my experience, the DLX model is still an upgrade over the MK2 due to its expanded features. The Simplifier MKI does not feature reverb, where both the MK2 and the DLX do. That said, one cool feature that the MK2 has that the DLX does not have is the dedicated power amp gain control. That extra controllable gain stage offers another level of tone tweaking.
