I think these is why we flood all of the cranberry farmers and then the cranberries are scooped up. Our cranberries seem a little darker down here in the states. Idk, it could be the lighting. What an interesting video. I’m sure if I took an informal poll everyone in the USA would say you flood them out. Lol. You taught us something new today!
I love that Kona waits for you. Your cranberry picking is entirely different than here where I live. They flood the bogs. Interesting seeing yours. Thank you
I think I would like bake week. It seems nice to have a focus each week on what to do and know that the rest is taken care of by others. As the only woman here I basically have to do a bit of everything every day. I don't mind, but having more sisters here would be nice :)
Oh its fun even though it can be hectic at times. And yes it is definitely nice to have the others worry about the other work that has to be done but, you are after all baking for them.
you won't see this sense in from 2020 BUT in Washington State, USA we are on the Pacific Ocean. our cranberries grow very low to the ground and you flood them with water and they float to the top of the water then you scoop them up. Now our blackberries grow very high and have thorns and the Bees love them so you fight the bee's and the thorns there ripe in Aug. Making juice with no additives is great!! you guys have all the machines to be able to make the jobs easy. What a blessing.
great video again 😁 all of your colony’s food looks delicious, i’m not a hutterite so i have not tried any of your comfort foods but they look delicious! 😁
We made monster cookies in the 1970s. We used ice cream scoops and the recipe pretty much matched yours. A very big crunchy cookie! Nice to see those again!
How do y’all keep your bread and buns fresh until the following week? I have a thousand questions, but it would take you an afternoon to answer all of them! I LOVE your channel!!! God bless your day!
ask away I'll answer as best I can. we only make enough bread and buns so that it doesn't get too old but, if we made too much then it usually gets put into the freezer until we need it.
oh I love picking them even though they are in the worst wooded area ever I had branches in my eyes and in my hair. I'll have to remember to wear my sunglasses next time.
Your Anabaptist friends, the Amish, make those cookies in the US. Continued blessings. I so enjoy the videos. When you have a spare moment, what do you use gebach for?
Is there any place online where you post your recipes? I would love to be able to make many of them for my family and to share at holiday's when we take meals around to the homeless. Thank you
