- Things are a bit different this week then they have been the past couple of weeks. of course we always had good food which I find is a small and simple joy in my life. I have always loved food and love eating.
I have been getting back into my walks again the busy, hot days we had in previous weeks made me not want to do it as much but, its getting cooler these days which makes walking more pleasurable.

I cannot make any comments about Hutterite life and colony philosophy. I can say that your work ethic, empathy and overall maturity exceeds that of most women in Western culture. I would guess your upbringing and sense of family had a lot to do with your qualities evident in these videos. You should be proud of yourself and I am sure your family feels the same way. Carry on young lady! You are amazing.

It is unsettling when life changes and particularly when a sickness is affecting the colony, but in the middle of it all, God is not "caught off guard" and He's still in control and he cares for each of you. Be encouraged...it won't last forever. I was recently reminded that the Bible says either "fear not" or "be not afraid" 365 times. Do you know what that means? That is once for each day of the year. If we belong to Him, we don't need to be afraid.
I have never known males to be cooking or baking on colony. This is great to see. He seems to be enjoying himself and it's wonderful to see he's encouraged to do different things. Those cookies look awesome.

I love rose hips. I make an alcohol based tincture with lemon peel, diced oranges and chopped rose hips. I take one dropper full in juice once a day.

I hear the communities they interact with are shunning them (fear of COVID) and not buying from their Farmers Markets. It really hits them hard when they can’t make a their summer income. They don’t exactly have much room to scrimp. One thing is for sure ... they’ll get through it!

How ironic since the Hutterites are a million times more healthy than the average person. Fresh pressed juices, fresh fruit and vegetables, modest amount of meats, no chemical preservatives or cancer causing food dyes and wonderful hand picked herbal teas. I support you and your way of life will prove to be more in line with how we all should be living physically and spiritually. 🦋🌸🌿💕🌈
I just have to say that the way you and your community choose to live life is so beautiful. Also, have you ever considered writing a cook/baking book? Every single dish or baked good you make looks absolutely delicious.
No i haven't but, we do have hutterite cookbooks with old traditional dishes. 😊....to be honest its interesting even for me there are some recipes in there that i have never made before.

Your Hutterite colony is what I kind of imagine Heaven will be like. Caring and loving each other.. 1 John 4: 7&8. .Also, the nose swab does hurt... I took it three times and I still smell things beyond normal human smell. LOL

So hello again, by watching your videos it seems like your colony is way more progressive, if that’s the right word, the colonies in SD, don’t have such things dish washer in there house, bicycles are all three wheels for most of the colonies, I’ve never heard of a colony having a swimming pool, in fact unfortunately a ten year old boy drowned in the Jim River here by one of the colonies in this area, so sad, the Jim River has taken several lives here in our neck of the woods from the colony kids, but that’s there only water hole they have, it would be nice if they could get some kind of a pool, just some difference I’ve noticed from your colony to the ones in SD, have a great day!!!😊

I recommend a dog shower harness. You could clip her to your steps so she won't go very far.

That's so interesting about the rose hips. I was just wondering if you could eat the rose hips from the rose bushes. I know they are a great source of vitamin C, and it's so much better to eat the real food than a vitamin.

@@gisellewaldner9406 I have been at the Winnepeg airport. I was flying London to Phoenix on British Airways and a man on the plane had a heart attack. We made an emergency landing at Winnepeg, in December. I had never seen SO MUCH SNOW! There were big, tall piles of snow everywhere. They offloaded the poor dead man, de-iced the plane, snow ploughed run way ahead of us and we took off. The Canadians were so very efficient. Of course we weren't allowed off the plane but we saw the snow coming down fast and heavy. 😬I still feel cold thinking of all that snow ha ha ha ❄️🌨️
my older brother got tested for covid ( 4 times ) the all the people who tested him , hurt him , he said think they were trying to get a brain sample haha he is so unlucky .. well only the 3 time the others times where just not pleasant..
I totally understand what he is saying they almost had the stick in my brain and then I got an ugly nose bleed.

Mostly for tea i don't know much about that herb so I just put it in my tea 😊
@@gisellewaldner9406 Rosehips are extremely high in Vitamin C (often in the past called the poor man's Vitamin) and a popular soup in Sweden for both breakfast and dinner.

The Quarantene is a sad thing, enforced separation of people, shunning of individuals even whole communities. Now 7 months after this vlog there is still not the light at the end of the tunnel visible...
