Note:
some recipes might be too big for some people, I don't have a smaller recipe and making it smaller is not my strong suit, I don't want to risk making a mistake and you having to deal with a mistake.

4 tbsp garlic salt
4 1/2 tbsp paprika
1/2 cup salt
1 tbsp onion salt
1 tbsp pepper

Oatmeal layer:
16 cups water
8 cups oats (steel cut oats or reg,)
2 cups chopped dried apricots
2 cups prunes and or raisins
2 tsp salt
Bottom layer:
Frozen Raspberries (or other fruit)
In a large saucepan bring water to a boil. Add oats, dried fruit and salt. (Cook like regular oatmeal)
Stir in 2 cups ginger cream.
(You can also use leftover oatmeal and just add dried fruit and ginger cream)
Layer frozen raspberries in a steamer tray and pour the oatmeal on top.
You can do everything the day before- and have it ready to put in the oven the next morning
Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes until nicely browned. Serve with ginger cream.
Ginger cream (do 4 times for breakfast)
2 cups heavy cream
4 slices fresh ginger root
4 cinnamon sticks.
4 TB grated orange peel.

You prove, by your daily work, your wish to offer to others, a good experience, a friendly and sweet moment...A pure soul...😊
I love the hymns you often choose for your background music. I learned them all as a child and still remember most of the words, So while I'm watching you I'm singing along in my head ❤
What blows my mind and I think is so wonderful is how you can just go out for a pleasant walk, enjoy nature and you can do it without fear of getting hurt by someone! This makes me soo happy for you!!❤
You can do that too! Pray then go out! Fear is from Satan! He will rule you, if you let him.
Also, get a taser if you still don’t want to have faith that the Lord will keep you safe. There has always been crime.. we just have the ability to record it in this time.
Giselle I love your cook week vlogs. All the food you cook looks always so delicious and tasty. All the food is making me so hungry. The way you edited your cooking week vlog is like a professional. Your walk in nature looks so peaceful and stunning. The autumn colours look amazing. Thank you all the time and hard work you are doing making the vlogs so special and outstanding. See you next time.
I love how well you Hutterites steward the things you have. You always keep everything tidy and clean and in good repair. It really shows how much gratitude you have for God's blessings. It is a good reminder to me as a Christian to be thankful for what I have as well. Thank you for the example. God bless!
Thank you, Giselle ~ I always learn from your videos 😊🙏💜
It’s lovely to see you again.
Love watching every aspect of you life on the colony. Your meals all look so delicious. Thank you for sharing.
I totally understand the frustration, prep work, prep work and more prep work! The pay off when the job is completed and the sense of satisfaction of a job well done can not be beat. You are doing great in the kitchen, at home, and with this blog!! 👍👍 from me
Giselle your food always looks delicious and your baking of bread rolling out the dough with that beautiful rolling pin and when you go for a walk with Kona he is a beautiful dog take care 🇨🇦
It did look like a very busy week, but busy doesn’t always mean dreary does it?
The ending with the hymn singing is such an up-lifting gem for the soul. Thank you for continuing with your video journey.
Thank you for sharing your life with us
Love all the vlogs, you have such a calming voice 😊
Lots off work ,thx Giselle 🌹❤️👍🙏🏻thx for everything and you time 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🎶🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵❤️❤️🙏🏻
Giselle, you are such an inspiration! I love your videos so much, so thank you! The singing at the end is a nice way to close it off. Please keep it up!!
thanks for another “weekvlog”, we are always glad to see you ❤, ánd Kona of course❤
I’m always happy to see you’ve posted another vlog! Congratulations on the excellent meals you prepare! I’ve been carrying my phone about the house as I work and watch your video! 😘
Thank you again. What a wonderful way to enjoy my early Saturday morning coffee. 😊❤
The footage of the combines at work was gorgeous!
I love watching your cook week videos. Thanks for sharing. 😎❤
I giggled when I saw your brother at the grill. I once heard a comedian say that men will cook when there is fire involved😂
As someone who is also from Manitoba I love seeing the outdoor footage! It’s so similar to the area my family is from. Such a beautiful and underrated province. Fall is such a beautiful time of year and it’s gone so quickly.
The pumpkin scones looked yummy.
Cooking is tough work, harder than many people might think. So, good job and looking forward to Dec. and your next cook week.
I so love meatloaf!! Yours looks delicious! We add oatmeal to ours, too, and it’s always good!! Thank you for taking us along on your very busy cook week!❤
I am always amazed at how you all work together as one no matter what you are doing. Making all your meals from scratch takes a great deal of work but I am sure all appreciate the work. I may live on my own but I have started to cook from scratch more and more thank you
You crack your eggs the way my mom taught me to do it. I have so many people ask me about that, like its not a thing! Love your vlogs!
Love cook week. Everything looks so good!
I know how you feel about those tough weeks. Sometimes I get so ambitious to make enticing recipes and then when all is said and done, I should have made a bunch of simple ones with one or two big complex recipes. That's just me every holiday and every Holy Day. As I've aged, I'm doing it smarter but I still want to create this complex feast. Oh well. I'm happy to have your vlog visit again. God bless you.
so good to see you again! you certainly did have a busy week... and scrumptious food! Jesus is whispering now...haven't sung that in years. soo good to hear that sweet hymn Blessed Assurance. had a few tears. i used to know all the verses, but time has kind of blended the last two. when our ears hear the words for so many years, our hearts remember, but our mind may not keep things in order. sometime i'll tell you about the wheat field and my working on a potato farm. just remember in my heart i'm a town/city "girl'. lol our weather has been quite chilly in the mornings and not a whole lot better later. the last few days have been delightful!! surprisingly, i have not heard many Canada geese going south. usually there are flocks and flocks of them. possible that instinct...God... kept them here because of the hurricanes. our minds are too limited to know for sure. you probably know that if one goose must land because of sickness or injury, one or two other geese will land with it and stay till it can fly again or dies. a friend sticketh closer than a brother. just makes me think of that. i have written a novelette here. i do ramble. have a beautiful blessed week. see you soon.
Great video as always
Looking forward to this vlog 😀
I love your cook weeks!
Thank you for the music ,we sing this at church. The title is This is my story, this is my song .
Cook week is my favorite video you make much love from Vancouver ❤
Also, do you use chicken breasts and cut butterfly or leave them whole for your chicken burgers ❤
That's my first time to see stromboli. It looks yummy. I may have to make some.
My mom always used oatmeal when making meatloaf and she used her home canned tomatoes too.
I would love a challenge where you only cook what you produce!
I used to work as a head cook in a high school. I was always tired with a constant stress headache.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cook week...the vlog that always makes me hungry! 😂😂 A few meals that I haven't seen you prepare before that look delicious! How did the juice turn out? Enjoy your week! 🙏♥️♥️
💜
I was very surprised to see you hanging laundry out on a Sunday. Does the Hutterite faith have a view on Sunday labor. (Outside of meal preparation or looking after livestock, both of which are necessary)
10:12 I would be afraid of bears 👀🤣
Your video is fine don’t worry about apologizing
Fun video. How many are you cooking for?
So the next time you have a cook week will you choose more varied menus that allow you a break from all the shopping prep
What does the gluten intolerant people eat when you have sandwiches? I am gluten intolerant, and I love your recipes.
