You and your friend , Your latest trick , On every street , Bug, from the same show are amazing as well.
The Greatest band of all time!! Thank you Rebeka!!
Always a happy day when you react to Dire Straits 😀
Mark Knoplfer is one of the finest guitarists 🎸 we have & the drummer is on fire on this track 🥁 ! Excellent performance 👏 👏.
in 1991/'92, my Dad told me: I received tickets for 2 bands. He didn't knew them. He was in food business in Switzerland. He gave me 2 tickets for Michael Jackson, and 2 for Dire Straits. Had a big smile for long, as i was 16 years old. Those Lives, as many others, were goosebumps in my heart...
Ive been to hundreds of concerts in the past 30/40 years and Dire Straits in Dublin on this tour is still the best show I've been to
Me too on every street Wembley arena still the best live music I’ve ever seen.
Me too I was at Cardiff arms park, superb
The level of musicianship and natural talent among these musicians is outstanding. A superb hard to beat live performance.
How great was that just wish elvis was around to hear this masterpiece
Ohhh is MK THE LEGEND ON GUITAR.....what a Band ❤❤thanks
Wow,wow, wow.Love how happy they made you.I like you know how great they are but they amaze and astound me with each performance better than the last
Dire straits 👍Rebeka reactions wie immer top🎸👍 LG aus Deutschland
Mark is so good on that guitar
I knew you'd love this song. It's under appreciated!
Nice ;) I was lucky see this tour live
Your reaction has absolutely made my day! It’s an amazing performance and your expression said it all - thank you!
✨Thank You✨
Now this is music, love your reaction as always ❤
✨Thank You✨
Beautiful song...Grazie gorgeous Rebeka
Hi, thanks for reacting to this song. Absolutely loved it. There's so many more songs to experience from DS. Once Upon A Time In The West from Alchemy Live and also I Doug Up A Diamond from Mark Knopfler and Emmy Lou Harris Live "Real Live Roadrunning" 2006. Love your channel heaps, so much good music. Cheers Rebekka 👍🎸🎸
✨Thank You✨
Dear Rebeka, it's always a pleasure watching your videos (and obviously listening to your music choices!) Take care and never loose that smile and enthusiasm.
*Amazing Reaction, Mrs. Rebeka!! Love from India!!* 😊😊🤗🤗
MARK, what a genius , he wrote all these amazing songs and music, you dont get this nowadays, love your reaction xxx Gil from Israel
Nice vibe 🎉
Good that you are enjoying, I was going to out you, for knowing nothing about this song and its creation. But then I noticed that you are nothing but a listener mesmerized by this song, so I let it slide.
GREAT SONG CHOICE TO REACT REBEKA
✨Thank You✨
Love seeing you do Dire Straits reactions, the way you enjoy the music and the energy is really nice.
This is a fantastic track and a fantastic opener to the concerts on this tour - I saw them three or four times in London, they were so good I ran out the next day and bought another ticket…
And all their music gets better every time you listen to it. Thanks for this.
✨Thank You✨
Great start to a concert. Next listen to Wild Theme from the same concert, the most beautiful instrumental you could ever wish to here. If you like country, so does Mark Knopfler, list to Poor Boy Blues, a duet he did with Chet Atkins.
I really like the fact you just listen to the song before giving your thoughts. It makes a nice change from a lot of reaction videos.
Hi Rebecca 😊 this was excellent percussion in the drums playing together solo I really liked the most. Well I can't really say that it was all good.Jest what I needed today.❤
Lmao mark doing dive bombs without a whammy bar at the end
Also on every street
Such a fun blast from the past. I saw them on this tour in Göteborg, Sweden in a large outdoor arena. Photography was prohibited so I didn't dare take my expensive camera gear, so I smuggled a single use film camera in my underwear and got some decent shots for memories!
You've said here as well as on other reaction videos of Dire Straights about being focussed on instruments rather than vocals. You're absolutely correct about that, but without vocals their unique sound wouldn't be there - kinda like if you removed violins from an orchesta. A voice is also an instrument and in Dire Straights, Mark Knopfer's voice is an essential instrument because of it's sound and how he plays it
Well...Dang!!!! 🙂👍
The live album (and concert video) was shot in 1992 on Dire Straits' massive 1991 - '92 tour supporting the album 'On every street'... It turned out to be their last tour... Mark Knopfler released his solo album 'Golden heart' in 1996 and quietly revealed that Dire Straits was done as a band.
Years later, the dark side of this tour was revealed... Following the success of 'Brother in arms' in 1985, Dire Straits had become a massive band ... Mark Knopfler was not happy w/ the pressure and demands of Dire Straits being this big entity that was expected to play arenas and stadiums worldwide... But he was contractually obligated to deliver 1 more Dire Straits album, so he wrote and recorded 'On every street' in 1991 and it became a platinum success.
The tour was huge and Dire Straits was in big demand... However, the band internally was imploding and their personal lives were upended by months on the road... By the end of the tour, Mark Knopfler and his 2nd wife were headed for divorce... and he was at odds w/ bassist John Illsley (who was the only original member left)
They released the live album 'On the night' in 1993... recorded on their '92 European tour and that was the final chapter on Dire Straits.
......My gosh ....i always remember the lady of this song's videoclip.......🤪😍....🤣...
Hi Rebeka, i' m really glad to see one more time how much you love this band and this title (Special mention for Tom Cruise on drums ^^)
And I think you begin to realize how much this concert (on the night) is a total banger!
In despite of the fact you already listened Romeo and Juliet and Brother in arms on an other version, i can just advise you to listen theses amazing versions on this concert too.
Also "your latest trick" is crazy but maybe little bit too short for a review.
Anyway, thanks for your reaction and still continue on this way 😉
Have a nice day 😊
✨Thank You✨
On Every Street from the same concert is utterly gorgeous.
Love your reaction, I was lucky to see them twice on this tour, have you checked out the Notting Hillbillies live at snape, it was Mark's little sideline while he was having a break from the work with Dire Straits, feel like going home is a beautiful song, it was mark knopfler that got me playing guitar, and it got me playing guitar right handed instead of left handed, the same as Mark, can't believe he sold that guitar, I think it's the Pensa suhr was his most iconic guitar as it was played on so many great songs live, other than maybe his national guitar
✨Thank You✨
Chris Whitten on the drums and Danny Cummings on the percussion. Maybe next Dire Straits reaction Walk of Life?
Live performance of Dire Straits was always awesome as Mark used to deliver extended guitar playing and awesome deliveries from his other band members. You are yet to discover "Once Upon Time in West" and "Where do you think you're going" from the Communique Album. In Mark's words Communique is one the best critically acclaimed album of Dire Straits for non-commercial compositions and terrific guitar playing stuffs from Mark.
If you want to enjoy live version of these 2 songs then Check Alchemy Live 1983 and Live at Rockpalast 1979. HQ video quality is available in YT of these 2 live shows.
The start of this legendary show. Rockin all the way.
I love it. Great job Becks, as always.
And if you love Country music, try with this guy: Alan Jackson.
✨Thank You✨
You are so funny......💕😍
HELLO REBEKA
Bout time someone finally got to their greatest complete concert performance, in Nimes, France (not Wembly) rather than hearing every reactor on planet Earth doing “Sultans.” 🙄 Congrats 😎
Bonjour j aimerais une réaction à un titre incroyable de dire straits ; un bijou que le groupe n as jamais joué en live quasiment mais un solo guitare particulier avec un effet Hendrix
C est it never rains
Sinon j adore votre réaction
It's always a good time when you get an instrument duel between Mark and other band members.
I remember this concert on TV here in the UK.. That show was Live in Basel, St Jakob Stadium. Something seemed a little off for me? I carried on watching it and I think what we have here is the audio from 'On the Night' the live album which was recorded in Nimes, France and Rotterdam in Holland. And the visual of Live in Basel. Still so very close as musically it was exactly the same song along with all the instrumental sections. I did realise half way through that this is another example of how incredible their level of musicianship is I mean like genius level! To reproduce that version of the song night after night?! Stunning!
Nope mate. The Basel concert is a different one - available on yt - Knopfler's wearing a yellow shirt there
@@ekstradycja yes he did! The lack of crowd noise during this video really threw me?? Maybe it's because I'm used to the Basel show??
@@ekstradycja maybe also their was a little lag?
I would love you to react to Down to the Waterline Dire Straits 🎵🤘
Try Logical Song; Supertramp
Please react to Benny Mardonnes into the night
i dont think ive seen you react to creedance clearwater, you will love them too.
Dont think you were even born when these guys stopped touring! Good on yer for reacting so well to the genius that is MK- a veritable superstar in the Pantheon of rock musicians. His solo stuff is also worth a listen..........It all brings back memories of seeing them in 1983- what a gig!
Nice one.
✨Thank You✨
The crazy thing is that I’ve been listening to Dire Straits since they came out in 1979. I bought Alchemy in 1984 and hated it! I always judged a great band by how good they played their own songs in concert. Well, Mark changed the songs SO MUCH when playing live that I didn’t like it. 😂 I’ve have all of their albums on vinyl, SACD, and probably regular CD.
Each to his own, but I love Mark's improvisations. A reproduction of the studio version night after night when performing would probably bore him. They are his songs, let him do whatever he likes!
Mega band 😊
Et que penser de telegraph road
Love your channel, just found it. Just to let you know you should say "react to", not "react on". Just trying to help 🙂
✨Thank You✨
Sad that Mark sounds a bit tired on this album but nevertheless I'm a big fan of DS and MK since Alchemy album came out. Thanks for the review ☺️👍.
shortly after this round of concerts, Mark decided to disband them. He said everyone was exhausted and many had families at home that had became a problem for them. He said it had become so big that he didnt know any of the set up crews or roadies. They were doing 300 concerts a year and it was time to end it. But they left us wanting more. Now the younger folks are discovering them and its wonderful.
@@merrilynhunt7819 I agree. Calling Elvis tour was smaller than BIA tour, I think.
one of the greatest melodic guitar over a sustained groove pieces ever🎶🎸🥇
new sub Epica beyond the matrix live at the zenith paris
