Ollie was my first trick, and honestly should be the start. They aren’t THAT difficult and are the literal foundation for EVERY trick. However! It got so boring and frustrating trying to only do ollies/riding around and popping. I love these bids for the simple fact that they’re showing something else you can do while perfecting the foundation. All these are foundational as well, help and will massively improve overall trick completion. ❤
@@gunmetal2435 You’ll usually fall backwards so just wear some elbow pads and gloves, and if you’re scared with pads, take a measured fall and see just how bad it’s NOT. (;
@@gunmetal2435 not true at all, some people just ride bowls and don’t need to learn to Ollie. Not everyone skates flat or street. And just like this video is showing, people find fun in learning other tricks, and the Ollie can be tough to learn. It’s obvious that Ollie’s are essential for most “traditional” skate tricks but you’re not wasting time if you aren’t learning an Ollie
I learned shov its way before I could actually pop the board. Would practice in my buddies basement. Push of the wall and attempt a shov it before I push off the opposite wall. I must’ve been 11-12. Good times.
Gosh I actually love reverts. It took me a long time to nail bs reverts down due to fear for some reason. It that mental game. Fakie shuv is also a really good trick. It took me like 10 mins since i already new how to shuvit. These are really good basic tricks. Keep in mind that your mentality could make these trick seem harder, but it is all commitment
I learned shove it’s before Ollies then kickflip was next.. whew I miss the early journey. I started by skating the carpet in my basement learning how to catch tricks better
I skated for over two decades and you ride your Board to get balance but the Best trick and most important is to learn ollies then you can do everything because you need ollie to do em all exsept these. But new skaters try to just get balance whit you board and go for the Ollie thats the Best way in my opinion ✌🏼💯
the only way to get better at skating is to skate . all the people you percieve as judging you were once new skaters. everone wants to get better and we support eachother as skaters if you try hard. if you fall it only means you are dedicated and you actually committed to landing instead just bailing getting scared.
All the people that you feel are judging you were at the same point you’re at now. I felt that way too , like I was just a poser taking up space. Those guys will gladly let you skate and cheer you on. He best feeling ever was getting props from a pro when you land a not so great trick and you’re stoked
Don't give up the Ollie, this guy is just telling you to take the easy way out. It took me months to Ollie, then like another six months to be able to be moving and Ollie over a sewer cap. But the feeling and skill with stay with you for life. If you want to Ollie and take skating seriously then don't give up or try anything else until you get it right and feel comfortable. I'm 39 and I put all the crazy tricks away at 25 and just focused on perfecting a couple of tricks and being able to do them on or over whatever obstacles, and I enjoy it alot. But when I was younger I snapped my arm in half, stitches in my nose, few broken wrists, rolled ankles, skateboarding is a pay to play type of sport but there is nothing that compares to landing those tricks and rolling away.
How in the world do I get into primo stance 😅 I love freestyle skating and want to start doing it more compared to street but the tricks are crazy technical
Now I don't feel so bad having skipped on my Blitzway preorder ( I had more pressing real life stuff to pay when it got released and had to let it go). Yet somehow, it never truly bothered me, was happy with my Popy, Soc etc. Might pick this one up though in case Carbotix looses their minds and try to cancel that one. (trust me it happens, big licenses have deep pockets...).😂.
Gotta tell my homie Manuel there's a skate trick named after him!
Read my mind
My cousin's name is Manuel

I told my coworker Manuel. He drove his manual drive car to read the manual how to do the Manuel trick manually.
Don’t forget to tell Caspar as well
My dude slipped a whole Spanish family at the trick list

Reverts gave me a harder time than Ollie tbh but it unlocked back 180s for me

i tried to do primo and i landed backwards and smacked my hand and wrist rlly hard and now I can barely move my wrist and hold stuff.

What about shuvits? Should I learn them before Ollies??
Ollie was nice though, trying to get mine like that hopefully

learning primo before ollie is insane man-
You SHOULD learn most of these before Ollie. It will help your board control and you’ll learn to Ollie much easier.
