I've witnessed people progress ultra-fast in skateboarding, and this is my experience: I was sitting on a bench with my board on a park near home, 5 kids by the age of 9-12 approached me and asked me to teach them how to skate. I personally know 2 of the kids, they were from the same neighborhood as I and the other kid, Otis, was my actual neighbor. So, I jokingly taught them how to kickflip on the spot since I noticed all of them could actually ride the board already. In my pure state of grin and waiting for someone to eat shit, some kid actually almost caught a clean kickflip, he caught it with both feet but he landed awkwardly with his knees too bent and his other foot slipped out. That's the moment where I stopped and seriously taught them. I basically lied to them that a kickflip can be learned in 1 day to a week. Believe it or not, reverse psychology really works! I stopped skating that day and focused to teach them all. I lent them my board and at the end of the day, just after 2 hours. 4 out of those 5 kids actually caught a clean kickflip, the other kid who didn't, I think his name was Jacob, can land a kickflip but he keeps on getting frightened midway trick. Out of all, my neighbor, Otis, was the best of all 5, to the point that he can catch 9 out of 10 kickflip attempts, almost even caught a heel flip in that short amount of time. To this day, I've been convincing Otis to skate, but his parents are strict and I've already made a bad impression ever since they moved next door.
That's some Jedi master passing the torch story, man. Wish there were more folks like you, glad you taught them. You never know what an impact one's teachings can do for others in the long run 👍
Your confidence is amazing. Also it wasn’t the shoes that made you land the tricks. It’s the placebo effect, you got something new that is supposed to help with something so it’s makes you think that it is working and gives you this confidence therefore leading you to land a trick
Well yes and no because although proper skateboarding shoes do help with skateboarding it doesn't really matter as long as you got sneakers with some grip on then you can skate pretty normally. Almost like in basketball, doesn't matter if you got some with springs or whatever in your shoes what matters is that they're comfortable while you're balling up. Almost any sport can be done with just about any type of shoes but the ones that are specifically tailored for that specific sport seem to work the best. Anyway it's up to the user to decide whether that's true or not.

Dude, you're really cool, it's my fifth day of skating, and I've just started to feel good on the board, I don't even think about Ollie. Besides, your roads are so smooth!
You can learn an Ollie in a couple weeks, if you put in the work. Don't over think it, just do it. get a feel for the pop first. Once you're brave enough to try it, remember to bring your back leg up with the board after the pop. You can also learn pop shuv-its first to get comfortable with the pop.

very nice! this is so motivating (for me at least) at first i wanted to learn how to skate and i gave it a couple of tries in a few days, landed a few ollies and that was basically it for me. i didnt know what to do and everything was extremely hard and then i just forgot about the skateboard and everything i learned but now i wanna try it again
my god it's my first time watching your channel and i love it💖, i'm learning to skate and you expired me trying even harder😭, thank you💖💖, sorry if the translation is wrong, i'm using a translator😂😂, because i'm of Brazil hahahhaha
How is this guy so good. I’ve been skating for 3 months and all I can do I a turn
He can do tricks but he has no style, so not that good
@@sunny8392 imagine hating on a kid

Anton ist ein motivierter Skateboarder :) Er macht Ollies, Shov It's, Kickflips und Fakie 360 Shov It's. Am liebsten macht er seine Tricks Fakie. Außerdem liiiebt er die Farbe gelb. Ich würde ihn gerne adoptieren.

was zum fick?
This is literally what my skateing progress when like
Little Mikkel nielsen first learned ollie in his 4 Month. Dont get stressed ab it if u struggling
I skate since 4 months and I can’t do what you do 🙃 you’re amazing bro 👊🏻 never give up
You have my respect ✋✋I watched SK8 and then started skating a week ago (my dad was a hobby skater and so I have some
help) but your improvement is so fast👍👍👍
He literally got well-known just for skateboarding! True skaters are viewing
I don’t really understand why you decided to make a progression video after only 2 months of skating but your doing a good job. Keep it up
i did it for fun and didnt expect it to go semi viral :D
2 months is still a long time. And this video is extremely helpful for us beginners.
@@Ray-tf5wu ikr, this video literally motivated me to keep skating
OMG , this sucessful man make me imotional 🥺
Why
@@robau4149 because he do so much of hard work
I just started skateboarding, and this has given me so much motivation to get better. I love it
Finally got my skateboard today:), watching this gives me motivation to practice moreee!!
Post again you're so good!
I will :)
what skate shoes are those and did they last? great progression!
these are the nike sb janoskis and they lasted me a decent time - i would definedly recommend them :)
Why dont you upload videos anymore?
Amazing progress! This video is really well done, keep going
this has gotta be one of the fastest sb progress iv ever seen, keep it up bro
Wie schnell du einfach alles gelernt hast... Ich skate seit einem Monat und kann gerade mal einen Mini-Ollie...
Videoschnitt macht alles leicht.
2:38 what are the shoes called? they are fire
theyre just regular sb's
Those ollies be floating 1:00
guys dont listen to these videos they will make u feel like your progress is bad and slow but it really isnt everyone has his own speed and everyone's progress is a little different so dont let videos like this make you doubt yourself these videos are for inspiration
overall nice vid :)
Love how you explain why you aren't landing the tricks. Super useful 👍 also love the shoes 🙂
i can't ollie still- i swear im doing everything right but i just can't
when i try to ollie switch (opposite foot position) I know exactly what to do but still cant ollie properly. it takes doing the same stuff over and over again (:
the main problem with starting with ollies isnt the the jump but the front foot slide to the top of the skateboard, as soon as you jump, at the same time slide ur front foot up at an angle to level the skateboard midair and then u fall and land.
Очень круто получается ,я сейчас учусь делать олли, катаюсь уже 5 недель.
это потому что ты не врешь, а на видео врет. В среднем первый год уходит, чтобы научится уверенно СТОЯТЬ на доске.
I really hope to see more progress videos, eventually, this one was fantastic!
Thank you this is so inspirational and motivational
cuz I am just thinking of learning skateboard and this helps strengthen my goal and my confidence
