I wish you and your family to best and I know you will love this Country. My mother came here when she was a 26 year old Tokyo girl with my Dad. She loved this Country even though she raised us, along with my father, in a very small rural village in Upstate, NY. It wasn’t a glamorous life but a good life.

I loved listening to you play with the handpan! Just watching you as you got the feel of it was amazing. You gave us the chance to witness an artist's mind at work. No doubt you could easily work it into a musical composition.

Wow, a mall that ISN'T 3/4ths empty... Two of the big ones in Phoenix have been torn down completely.
I think LA will be great for you! I am guessing that you guys looked at some homes in the San Gabriel Valley, near that mall. If I may offer an opinion, I think it would be a great area for your family! It's pretty safe, has great schools, even better food, and has a vibrant "pan-Asian" local culture (I did all my Asian grocery shopping there), but with easy access to Little Tokyo in downtown LA if you are missing a bit of home.
Hope you guys find a good home thats good for you. Much love from Canada.

I’m super excited and happy and man do I love listening to music from you and your family! Music is a special language for everyone and my only advice if I can give you especially considering your age, is to always keep it about the music and not to get involved with anything that might separate your fans, ie.. politics, etc. That way you don’t alienate people who might have different views. Other than that, I think the whole world is just going to love everything you do!! Can’t wait for your next adventure with music!!❤

Interesting, I'm also a fan of Angelina Jordan who like Yoyoka is a world famous, astonishingly talented young musical artist. And like Yoyoka she moved her family to LA 3 years ago at age 13, and seems to be thriving.
I lived in LA for many years. it sucks, to many fake people, but maybe you will like it because of the musicians there. I hope to see you in a band doing original songs someday, I have always wanted to get a handpan.

Good luck finding a nice home. There are many factors to consider looking for a home, such as the pros and cons of which State to live in. I do not think Nevada has a State Income tax, as where others do. The difference of renting VS. buying a home. If you rent, you may need the owners permission to sound proof a room for playing loud music, but if you buy, you are the owner. Different areas have different prices. Fortunately, the internet can provide much information to assist you in your search. I know you will have found your home when we see Yoyo on drums with all those mics and cameras working, like the previous setup.

Yoyo, as you told us in vlog#1, L.A's does look a bit too costly. Better luck home hunting in Vegas. And as it's the "entertainment capital of the world" you and your parents might want to also check out the work opportunities out there. A regular gig (playing all kinds of music possibly) might help you settle yourselves down quickly, sort out your schooling (at home or a regular school) for you and bro, Shido, and practice, improve. L.A isn't far away so it shouldn't lessen your chances of getting (more creative) session work, if you can find a regular gig that could allow occasional leave to do that, that is.

I'm very concerned for their safety.
You have a very brave family. Moving to LA, at this time, I would avoid buying a home. Leasing is the way to go for the next couple of years. Also, have a plan-B (an alternative place to stay). Find an Air-BnB or rental in another part of California, possibly something closer to Sacramento, in case of riots or other societal collapse happens you can get out of there FAST. Also, don't get too into the local scene, continue focusing on your online presence - because drama happens. I'm saying don't become too reliant upon the industry or any one group of people.
Yoyoka must learn our coin games steal our money just like the ones in Japan 🤣

LA might be a nice place to visit, but you are better off not living there. I would choose Bakersfield . Much more affordable and less crazy

Yes, Japan is very beautiful country with its very owned defined culture. But US is the melting pot of various cultures and musical talents too. And it seems Yoyoka’s dream is to have a broad musical experiences abroad and US is just a perfect country. Hope she keeps surprising us with her unbelievable talent. I love she played onyx at 7year old. Such a prodigy.

Yoyoka knows how it feels to play drums with shoulder length hair in commercials and on nationally televised shows and in front of thousands and at home where thousands watched on youtube.
There was a brief clip a couple of years ago where she celebrated having having her longer hair cut short, she's clearly comfortable with it short. One of the reasons Yoyoka moved to the U.S. was to escape the pressure to conform that she felt in Japan.
@@alex-rv-uk exactly. I think we forget Yoyoka is a young teenager and not our posable action figure. She owns herself and we are blessed to share her journey.
