Such a lovely clip, Lisa, and most welcome. Thank you. It looks like a superb area, and my wife and me may make the trip to the Hinze Dam and environs some time this year. (We can get accommodation at Cedar Lake, I'm sure.) From your previous clips, there's lots of photographic opportunities.
Yes it's such a quiet, peaceful place - I'd like to get a kayak at some point to get out on the water and explore. There's other fire trails that look like they would give good views of Pages Pinnacle on the Cedar Lake side, though they're still in my to do list. Cedar Lake is definitely a very central location to explore a lot of the Hinterland - as well as Hinze Dam, you've got Natural Bridge, Springbrook, Binna Burra and Mt Tamborine that aren't too much of a drive away. Thanks Mick!
So good to see you back. This location looked familiar and I had to check that I wasn't looking at an old video. Have you vlogged there before? Loved those grasses along the shore.
Yep, I've been there a few times now - it's fairly local, not much of a walk, and is usually incredibly quiet and peaceful. There was a lot more water in the dam than any time before - the area where I was walking in the water has always been part of the shore every other time. Thanks Peter!
Hey Lisa I live nearby in Pacific Pines and would love to know how and where you enter to see that Dam from that point please ? My mum and Dad watch all your stuff from the Uk and are due to visit in November, Dad is keen to snap some photos from the same location ❤
I think you're talking about the Pied Currawong. They have quite a variety of calls - the ones in the video are their more sedate. They're my favourite Australian bird call...actually my favourite bird call at all. Nothing says the Australian Bush and home to me like the Currawong.
Spoilt by the fake camera clatter. i have long wondered why the RUclipsrs I follow don't use sounds from the environment rather than some of their distracting canned music played too loud. Thank you for this.
Brill, came at the right time. 🙏
Beautiful 🙏
Lovley Lisa. Thank you.
🙏
Great to see you back out in the outdoors.
Thanks so much - it was lovely to be out again 🙏
A beautiful and relaxing video. That looks like a nice spot.
Thanks Jay. Yes, it's very peaceful.
Oh my gosh Lisa! That was the perfect few minutes I needed. I felt myself breathing, calming, and just being. Sublime . . . . . .good soul medicine.
Oh that's lovely to hear. Thanks Denise 🙏
How peaceful was that? Lovely! I could feel my heart rate dropping while I watched.
Lovely to hear David 🙏
Stunning Lisa, that drone pan down the trees is brilliant…✌️
Thanks so much Markie 🙏
Thanks, Lisa! Looked like it was a great day out!
Thanks Jon - yes it was just what I needed!
Very relaxing video Lisa glad you are back online love it.
Thanks Malcolm 🙏
So Surreal
🙏
Nice! Makes me long for warmer days where I am (US - Pacific Northwest).
It's funny, I've been looking forward to it getting cooler - it was a scorcher the day I filmed this 😄 Thanks Juanita!

Hey Leanne, if you contact me here www.lisafrost.com.au/contact/ I can send a map through showing it 👍
Do you know what bird that is singing its pretty song? It's the first one you hear at the start and throughout the video.
